Clean room. Very affordable. Polite staff. Close to Jekyll Island and St Simon. I would definitely stay again

Love the true model, this one was nice. The bathroom was a little run down. But the staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay

When it comes to hotels, all we're looking for is something clean and functional. This hotel was…read moreneither of those things. We stopped there for a night on our way to Disney. We walked into the lobby, which smelled clean but when we greeted the front desk clerk, he didn't say anything. He continued to type on his computer for his minute and then asked what we needed help with. It was a little awkward for a check in exchange but we got our room key and went upstairs. For any review stating the elevator ride was a little bumpy, that does the experience of the elevator a disservice. The jolt the elevator does each time it reaches your floor is enough to make you feel like you accidentally stepped onto the Tower of Terror. Very unpleasant and scary. We got into our room and first off, it smelled like stale takeout food. The fixtures and decor were not well maintained. We went to call down to the front desk to ask about a couple extra towels for our family but the phone wasn't plugged in. Only half of the switches for the lights worked. The refrigerator wobbled. The bathroom mirror frame was scuffed up and there was a huge rust stain in the tub. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal, the showerhead was low, and anyone taller than 5'8" is going to have a hard time with it. Our room was handicap accessible but the extent of access was a portable chair for you to put into the very normal, not large or lower-lipped tub. But perhaps the final straw for us was the fact that we gave our kid a quick shower and a short time later when it was time to get into bed, the bottoms of her feet were dirty to the point that we had to wipe our feet off with wipes before getting into bed. Lastly, the breakfast. We know it's complementary but it kind of feels like it's not even worth that much when everything from milk to eggs to forks and spoons were out. They had one employee who seemed to be responsible for both the front desk and replenishing the breakfast area. It took a few minutes for us to even see where she was to ask for some forks and spoons and when she did, all she said was "I'm coming." She didn't seem too happy to be there though honestly we couldn't blame her. 0/10, would not recommend.

Nightmare of a place. Stay somewhere else. The beds are horrible, the elevator is scary and the…read morebreakfast sucked. They went in our room in the evening when we weren't there and did not request.

Great stay for a great price! Hotel is clean, staff is…read moresuper friendly. Pam at the front desk went above and beyond to assist me with a reservation glitch. Beds and pillows are comfy. Shower pressure, EXCELLENT! Typical free breakfast at this price point. We would definitely stay here again

Stayed here for a month in September 2025 for work. This was probably the single worst hotel…read moreexperience I've had in my life. I'll start with the highs: the staff is reasonable friendly, and the A/C in the room does get pretty cold. And that's where the good ends. Housekeeping is hit or miss--there were multiple days when I returned to my room at the end of the day only to find an unmade bed, despite housekeeping being a daily-promised thing at this property. And despite this, one of the housekeepers had the gumption to leave a hand-written note asking for tips. Sorry, while I do usually tip for that service, when you start expecting it, especially after not actually providing housekeeping, I'm not inclined to reward that. Now for the really bad. At the time, the hotel's keycard encoding machine was not working. For a solid month. My classmates and I were admonished by the front desk staff not to lose our keys (or, oddly, the paper keycard sleeves--guess those are in short supply?), because they could not be replaced. A coworker was staying in an adjoining room, and his keycard stopped working. The hotel's solution? Giving him a master key. Yes, this random guest was provided with a key that could open any room in the hotel. Which he demonstrated by unlocking my door. Lovely. Then, the painting. Rather than spend money on something that would actually improve the guest experience, like deep-cleaning the carpets to get rid of whatever that weird, pervasive smell was in the hallways on every floor, the property owner decided to repaint the exterior of the hotel. Another coworker staying in the hotel was parked adjacent to the building on the day painting started. The front desk had our vehicle information and knew who every vehicle parked on the property belonged to. Did they contact my coworker to ask him to move the vehicle? They did not. They wrapped it in plastic and continued with the painting. Finally, checkout day. Checkout is at noon. I had moved most of my stuff out of my room the day prior, but had left several things, like my Keurig, a Squatty Potty, and a rather expensive Dyson fan. Upon arriving at the hotel at 10:30 AM to grab the last of my stuff, I was surprised to find that my room was empty, everything cleared out. I went down to the front desk, where the clerk was surprised to see me. "You're still here? We thought you checked out." Why? Why would you think that? I haven't turned in my key, the one you were so adamant about me returning. Also, there were still several items left in my room, things which nobody would reasonably expect would be discarded so callously. And again, the hotel knows who is staying in their rooms. I was required to provide my cell phone number at check-in. Was a courtesy call made to ensure I had not left without checking out, absconding with that irreplaceable keycard and its wilted paper sleeve? No, of course not. After about ten minutes, one of the housekeeping staff sheepishly returned my Dyson fan to me, along with the Keurig. The Squatty Potty was MIA, but frankly, after some stranger has manhandled it, I would have felt weird using it. An acceptable loss at this point. Side note: the hotel has but a single washer and dryer. If you're planning on an extended stay, this ain't the move.
