After a long day of walking, visiting parks and cafes, we settled down one evening to eat some delicious food. My nan always receives the latest menu through her door, meaning we can be up to date on their food. They did an excellent deal on my sisters chicken nuggets, throwing in an extra can of Rio. I have tried one thing from Efes Kebabs and that is the chicken shawarma kebab. For me, there is…read morenot much point in looking at anything else on the menu because this is the pinnacle of kebab cuisine. If you don't know what a shawarma kebab is I will tell you. It consists of all your usual kebab ingredients - shaved meat, salad, onions, chilli sauce, garlic mayo (last two are optional), but rather than being in an open pitta bread, it is wrapped and rolled, making the eating a more rounded and less messy experience. This is simply great, as is the price: £2.50 and throw in a canned drink on top, you're looking at £3.20 for a piece of take-out heaven. I am sure there are other kebab shops that do the shawarma, but I have yet to find one, so Efes stays King of Kebabs until its right to the thrown is contested! De-lish! P.s. Situated on top of the restaurant-laden Preston Street, Efes is the first decent place you'll see heading Hoveward from Brighton city centre. Offering the usual range of doner, shish and halal meat it'll satisfy most indiscriminate kebab fans. The also serve burgers and fries although I'd rather go to Grubbs for such things. Essentially Efes is everything you'd expect from a Kebab shop.

The chips are always great and 95% of the time are cooked fresh and are always crispy with a soft Centre! The staff are always on a high wether it be 2pm or 2am they're always the most friendly bunch of people!! Personally as I prefer it sweet as I generally have quite a sweet tooth, so this didn't bother me! The prices are average but you get more for your money than you do at other places taste and quality wise, and the portion sizes are good. I have ordered take away from this place before numerous times and although the food is great, the service on take away isn't something to brag about, I have had to wait over 45 minutes before now which isn't fun on an empty stomach!
