If I was allowed a 0 rating that's what I would give this company! Extremely Poor Service!! This company is obviously way too busy to even return a phone call. I left 4 messages for a return call along with sending them an email. I live in Troy so figured it would be very convenient for them to repair my windshield. After calling each day for almost a week I decided to call Spectrum Glass who also service the Troy area. A real person actually answered the phone at Spectrum, gave me a very reasonable quote and we set up an appointment for them to come to me the following day. Very professional and polite. I'd say go straight to Spectrum for your windshield needs. read more

Put a cheap Chinese DOT563 glass on my Toyota Sienna with my AAA insurance the glass is worth less than $100, the quality is so poor that it gave up to the first peck of stone it faced within first week and then subsequently I have 5-6 small dot cracks at multiple places. THE QUALITY OF GLASS THEY ARE USING IS CHEAP DOT563 chinese factory, please go somewhere else and ensure the DOT number is not DOT563. No matter how good a workmanship is, at the end of the day if you put cheap quality glass it is worse experience. read more

I contacted Safelite to replace the windshield on my wife's 2017 Golf Alltrack. We scheduled an appointment and just prior to the appointment, my wife was notified that the windshield was damaged, so they rescheduled. Again, right before the appointment, my wife was notified that the incorrect windshield was ordered and it needed to be rescheduled AGAIN. This last Friday, Safelite arrived to replace the windshield and the technician informed us that he had a windshield with a rain sensor, which is not the model that is required by my wife's car. I called Safelite customer service to explain our frustration with our experience so far and that I was considering going through a local glass shop, which mind you was quoting me $100 less, and she said the local Safelite shop manager would call me to talk through how to make this right. I never received a call from the Troy location and we have an appointment for this afternoon. Our experience so far has been really frustrating and when our frustration is expressed, the leadership of the branch can't even call us to apologize and see what we can do to make this right. If this is the normal experience, please avoid Safelite at all costs. The amount of time we have put into adjusting our schedule 4 times to have this replaced is absolutely ridiculous and completely unacceptable. read more

I had called several places and had chose Troy Auto Glass based on the quote they gave me. But when I picked up my car, the price had increased by $100. I had questioned why and was told they need the vin number to give an accurate quote. Maybe they should have asked me for that before giving me a quote. On top of that, my windshield was covered in some sort of film that I had to clean. Customer service was sub par and they didn't finish the job if I had to clean it. And to reply to your stern message about misquoting and honoring, I spoke to you about the situation Gary and you told me that they made the mistake of not getting the vin number and you didn't honor a thing. read more

Troy Auto Glass did an excellent job replacing my side window after it was broken into. The night staff was a little spacey and quoted the wrong part, after taking a very long time to determine which piece of glass was broken. The regular staff cleaned the quote up in the morning and got me in the next day. The staff was friendly and very prompt. The price was slightly less than the "deal" my insurance company found me at a different location. The window looks like new and all of the broken glass from the break-in was vacuumed up. Thank you! Very friendly and quick service. No issues with the windshield since the replacement - I can't even remember how many years it's been.

I had my windshield replaced in March 2019 after a stone chip and crack. That experience was fine. However, in May 2019 (2 months after the replacement) I noticed a crack on the new windshield. There was not a noticeable event when this supposed impact (chip) occurred, and the crack spread quickly. My insurance provider suggested I contact Troy Auto Glass regarding the warranty. Despite the fact that I don't even know when this chip could have occurred, and in my opinion the windshield they put in was not up to par as a windshield should not be damaged this easily, they would not stand up for their product. Needless to say I'll be having this damaged windshield replaced elsewhere, at Henderson Glass where I should have gone in the first place. Customer service is key to business and in my opinion Troy auto glass is severely lacking here. read more

I recently needed the rear driver side window replaced. Not very impressed with the shop we'd gone to in the past, I decided to try Troy Auto Glass (based upon the great Yelp reviews). I called in the afternoon and was given an appointment for 9:30 the next morning. When I took it in I was very impressed with the pleasant and knowledgeable staff. They took it right in and it was finished in just over an hour (less than they had estimated). I would certainly recommend their services to everyone. read more

First let me start out by saying Joe that handles the phones and desk is a wonderful human being. With that said here is my review. My father passed away two weeks ago today. Most difficult thing I've gone through at this point in my life. Of course one week after he passed and my first day going back to work which was overwhelming to begin with I walk out to leave for work and my windshield is cracked. Really? My dad just passed, I was still in deep grieving, had paid for his cremation and now this. Just the the straw that broke the camels back. I got to work. A complete emotional mess and now have to call the dealership to take care of my windshield. They didn't do windshield replacement but highly recommended Troy Auto Glass. As soon as Joe answered the phone I got choked up and told him what I needed. He gave me the quote. It was reasonable but I just started bawling. He was so kind. Let this crazy woman release everything that had been going on. He was incredibly kind and comforting offering his sympathy. I told him I had to get it fixed but might take me a couple weeks to get the money as the unexpected cost of my dads passing put me behind. He immediately got on the phone with my insurance company and did all the talking letting me know all I would have to do at one point was give my name and insurance policy number as to make it so he handled everything and I just listened in on three way. It was a life saver. One less call to make, one less chore for my already mushed brain to have to deal with. He got it all set and it reduced my out of pocket $185. Today I took my car in. I waited for it to be fixed. 1 1/2 hours felt like 15 minutes because I started crying the second I saw Joe so appreciative of the kindness he showed me over the phone. We talked the whole time I was there between all the calls and other customers stopping in. I noticed his high level of care was given to every individual he dealt with. He drives a long way but loves his job and the company he works for. That says a lot. Gary did an awesome job on my car. They left a bottle of windshield cleaner in the car. He and Joe both offered me coffee and water at different times. They talked me through what they do and their warranty as they don't cut corners to save money. Best customer service experience I've had in a long time. Don't hesitate going here and don't go somewhere else if it's "saving" you $100. This place does it right and makes sure you don't have to come back unless unfortunately it cracks again due to another unseen chip happens that you don't see like I did and eventually cracks. Any place charging less is cutting corners! Thank you so much. I had to hug Joe when I left because it was the first time in two weeks I felt peace and relief. Excellent service. Even drove me home while replacement was done. Used MOPAR glass, which is the factory glass. Came out perfect! I was prepared to just pay and they also suggested checking with Insurance and made the call for me. I ended up paying nothing out of pocket and claim did not count against record. Ray was the guy I spoke with mostly, he was very professional. I called a few places to see if they could replace my rear window from the break in from the night before and no one was available for a last minute fix and apparently there were no warehouses open to stock my window. That didn't stop Ray, he took my name and number down and went on a hunt for my window, he was not only efficient with finding a window, but he got back to me promptly. I had my windshield replaced by Troy Auto Glass last week and let me tell you, I HIGHLY recommend them. I need my windshield to be fixed on the same day before I left town. I was so frustrated after calling many Auto glass shops who could not fit me in on the same day. I left work and happened to pass by their shop so decided to pull in and give them a try. They were not only able to fit me in, they also has my windshield in stock. I was there for a total of 2 hours and I was so happy with the results. The service desk girl was so nice and helpful and she even offered me a cup of coffee. I also was able to browse through my IPad using their free WiFi while waiting which was supper cool. I took my wife's Glk350 in for a windshield replacement due to a newly acquired crack. I had a horrible experience. I left the car in the morning picked it up in the afternoon after they replaced the windshield but left one of the trim pieces off . So after speaking to them and showing them pictures of the same exact car with a trim piece that i no longer had they allowed me to bring in the car to install the piece. Two days later i pick the car up after hours on saturday with a man made rubber piece to cover the gap between the windshield. It sounds like you're driving a convertible at high speeds. I will never go to this place again or recommend this place to anyone. 100% dissatisfied with the windshield! read more

One week after purchasing my first new car, I had a huge crack across the windshield. I was going to take my car to Buick, but I got lucky and the service guy at Buick told me that they would use Troy Auto Glass, so I'd be in better shape if I just went through them directly. I have lived in the Suburban Detroit area for many years, and have used Troy Auto Glass many times for both repairs and replacements on the windshields of various vehicles that I've owned. I have always found TAG's staff to be professional, friendly and delivering service as fast as possible. I presently own a Jeep Wrangler, which has, much like the old Land Rovers a flat windshield, making it very susceptible to stone chips, etc. My last appointment with TAG to have my windshield replaced in my Jeep was a very good experience, with a short wait time in a nice, warm waiting area with free wifi and coffee. I had to replace my full windshield on my Sonic. The quality of the windshield is better than the stock one and has a minor tint to it.
