I came in to use the ATM machine and needed to go to the washroom. An older woman with the round…read moreface and chin-length, straight, grey hair sitting on a bench with her tall, white haired male friend, stopped me to ask if I was using the washroom. When I said "Yes", she demanded to know if I was shopping at the mall. When I told her I was going to the bank I was told "we have to use due diligence" to make sure that people who aren't shopping here don't use the washroom. Perhaps she mistook me for a homeless person. I had just spent three hours weeding a client's garden when I came in to make a bank deposit, so I had dirty knees, and I was wearing a toque, a pair of rubber boots, and a ratty old sweater. When I asked you who she was, she said she was the mall manager. "Is or is not the bank part of the mall?" I asked. "It isn't really part of us," you replied. You suggested I go to the grocery store and use their washroom instead, although I wasn't there to shop at that place either. When I got home I checked out the mall's official website. Apparently, the bank IS part of the mall, along with the grocery store, the dollar store, and the drug store. Over the years, I've probably spent thousands of dollars at these businesses, all of which pay for the upkeep of the mall. If this woman really is the mall manager, she should be fired. If she is just someone who hangs around to harass other people, mall security isn't doing a very good job. After this experience I'm not so inclined to shop in the rest of the mall.

First of all you have to figure out which stores are real and which store fronts are just window…read moredressing. The grocery store is fine and the pharmacy inside the grocery store is very nice. Today I was sitting on the bench waiting for my prescription to be filled, and the janitor came along and asked me if the sandals by the bench were mine. They were really big sandals and I was surprised that I didn't even notice them when I sat there, I guess I was thinking about checking my email while i waited for my prescription to be filled. I would have gone to a restaurant but there isn't one in the mall. So I am sitting, with my own shoes on of course, and he said I am going to have to throw them out, and I said, trying to be pleasant, who ever owns them has much bigger feet than I have. Then he went away and came back and he picked something up under the bench. Obviously I picked the wrong place to sit, because I couldn't just sit there and relax. So I never got the chance to look at my email. I went to get my prescription which was filled very fast, they are very nice, and always are, and of course I forgot my drinking bottle. I got half way out of town, I realized I didn't have it, and had to come back to the mall, and I asked the person cleaning in the grocery store if she had seen it, of course I couldn't find the janitor. And of course she hadn't, and I said I left it by the bench when I was trying to get my email, and the janitor kept interrupting me, and I left it there. So I went to customer service at the grocery store, and there it was, without my drink. They had thrown my sports drink out. So that was my experience. The mall has a beautiful view. But I would think the rents are really expensive. And I am sure they are having a problem, because without more stores, it is not competitive with a store like target or even Walmart.
