Store refused to take back a pair of unworn boots that clearly had a manufacturer defect in the footbed. They would not take them back on the technicality that they were one day past the two week return period, and told me to go through the long process of dealing with a manufacturers warranty. I live an hour out of town and have spent over $800 (not including fuel) on boots from this store previously yet they' still were completely unwilling to give a loyal customer some leeway on the situation. This store won't get another dime from me. read more

We have been in your store many times pre-Covid. Post Covid: Now we won't come back. You went from having fabulous customer service to "I'd rather shop at Walmart" service. I don't like feeling as tho I am a child in a China store. If I am spending $100+ on a pair of shoes that I can try on my feet, but not touch with my hands (after I have sanitized) I will go somewhere where I can. Unreasonable. read more

I have bought all my shoes at Searles for the past thirty years. I have always been acknowledged even when the staff were busy with a store full of other customers. When the staff we're free, they were very patient and tlook the time necessary to show me a good variety of shoes of the type I asked for. The store appears to have a very large stock of brand name shoes. Having been in a customer oriented business for over forty years, I realize you can't please all the people all the time but Searles' staff always seemed to me to be courteous and willing to help. read more

Wish I could give zero stars!!! My husband bought me Glerups slippers for my birthday and I tried them on at home and I did not like the leather soles so we decided to return them (it was within 14 days). Owner would not return the shoes even thought they were never worn!! I am shocked. Do not shop here! Worst customer service I have ever seen!!! read more

Great shoe store. Up to date good quality and great service. Prices comparable to Nanaimo or online. Love this shop.

Walked by here while browsing the street, killing time between the wedding and reception and notice this store. I came in here to look at some specific anti blister socks for my shoes. There were some proper fit socks that would do the trick, however, the price wasn't good enough for me. It was really busy inside the store, therefore, was unable to get some proper customer service with an expert, however, the lady at the til was super friendly. Good selection of outdoor shoes. read more

RUDE staff member in store...older lady with short brown hair .....Never felt so horrible after leaving this shoe store . A female staff member made me feel all though I couldn't afford anything in the store after I asked if they had a end of the season Sandal sale . I will never step foot in this store again and I tell everyone about my experience . Word of month is huge in small business. Oh and you know who you are !!!!! read more

I attended this store to purchase walking shoes. Service was good in fitting me with a proper ($250.00) shoes. I learned that a few days later they had a sale during Market Days and these very same shoes were 20% off. Because I had not worn these shoes I felt comfortable returning them for that reason and it was certainly within the boundary for returned items. I requested return of shoes and that I would like to buy them again at the sale price. I told her I was new to the Valley and wasn't aware of their upcoming sale for Market Days. Employee at desk responded loudly that she would take the shoes back but that there were no more in my size because she was going to put these same shoes under the front desk. I asked if she could then check if there was another pair my size in the back storage room. She again loudly responded and quite abruptly that computer indicated no other shoes of this kind in my size. I was made to feel very uncomfortable as a customer in front of others in the store. I could not understand this kind of customer service especially if they wanted me as a return or long-time customer. The best (or worst) advertisement for any store is the way they treat individual customers. Years ago I worked in retail and there was never an issue of allowing a customer return an item to take advantage of a sale. I have made the decision not to return to this store for this reason and have shared my Nagy experience with others. There are many more choices of places to purchase footwear in close proximity to the Comox Valley. read more

Worst customer service ever - very rude salesman who upset my mother. Sent email to store about this but they didn't reply. Won't be going back. read more

I just purchased a pair of sandals today and had the best experience buying shoes for my hard to fit feet. I had an ankle fusion 4 years ago and shoes are such a challenge. Cathy served me and she really knows her stuff. It is nice to know there are such helpful people out there. Thank you and 5 stars does not seem enough. I think you should have 10 stars. !!!!! read more
