I learned about it from a small air plant seller - Airplantation (actually it's the seller's home, not far from here) in 2023 - yes, all my purchase from Airplantation are doing well. This nursery suffered from the hurricane and are still recovering from its effects. The office is at the end of the road - everyone should go there to check in first. The young lady in the office said that this was a hobby her stepfather had started around 50 years ago. There is a long snake skin pinned on the wall, near the ceiling, that he brought back from Peru. I told her about snake banquets each autumn in Hong Kong, which I miss very much. Tropiflora is a bromeliad specialist nursery. They do have lots of other plants, orchids and succulents, but their specialty is 100% bromeliads, and they do them extremely well. A huge variety of common and exotic species, and such knowledgeable employees - that can help with your landscape questions and help decide which plants are likely to suit your needs. Recently became interested in air plants and I came to the right place. There's a huge selection in the green houses but not as much in the actual store. They also have a succulent selection but it's not as plentiful as the air plants. The price is great compared to nurseries that don't specialize in air plants. read more

The prices here are great. If you like air plants this is your nursery. They have different types and you have so many choices. They have beautiful driftwood pieces here and wood pieces that you can mount your air plants . I end up buying a stag horn fern and it was so healthy . I bought a wood planter to put it in. Also bought a "frost " peperomia. Beautiful plants and quality. I came here late and didn't have time . One hour and a half is just not enough times. If you love orchids this place is a must. I have been a customer of this nursery. I bought I should say a lot of plants from them. However , the last two purchases I made were disappointing. I read the oldest reviews in another site way back to early 2000 and the problems were the same that I've encountered lately. They advertised a deceiving size of plant for such an expensive amount. For a 3in cactus I was charged $13.50- . The total with shipping was $27+. I've checked the same plant from a nursery in AZ and it was $7.50. Customer Service responded just to say sorry and next time the will post the current picture. Yes, I was hoping for a coupon or a partial refund but nothing. Btw, the other plant was tiny and another was advertised full but when I received ithe middle part was harvested. Quite disappointing. read more

You just have to come to this nursery. Although it is primarily wholesale, it does have a very extensive retail plant assortment.
