The best place for a refreshing summer treat. I was so excited when I saw that this little stand was set up. I grew up with a tropical sno in my hometown and it was a summer tradition. This location has all the classic flavors and you can create your own. I ordered the coconut lovers which made me feel like I was on a beach somewhere. I'll be back to try some of the other ones like tigers blood. There is plenty of parking but nowhere to really sit. Most people either sit on the curb or take it to their car. They serve it with an ice catcher so it's less of a mess no matter where you eat it.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a snow cone and a stroll in the park and Tropical Sno made the whole experience all the more tasty and fun. For starters, you'll find this small snow cone stand in the parking lot with a simple set up (really all the more you need for snow cones...). They offer three sizes of cones and an extensive lineup of flavor combinations with toppings available like coconut cream. I'm always a sucker for the pina colada combination with cream or ice cream added in. They don't offer ice cream but they do have coconut cream on the menu to take your cone to the next level. We also appreciated the vessels they serve the cones in (great for the mess that comes when it starts melting) and the spoons that changed colors when they're cold. The young man working was friendly and efficient. I appreciate that he put on a new set of gloves for each order since he was working alone and also working the payment system. The cherry on top for our experience was the pup cup which consisted of a snow cone with chicken broth and broken up dog bones. According to Betty Spagetty, it deserved five stars.

Tropical Sno is just up the street from my house! It's a fun pop-in when you need something cool and refreshing to hit the spot after a long day of yardwork. They have soooo many flavors!! I do wish more were sugar free. But they have something for everyone! It didn't take long for me to go with Pina Colada. My fav! It was nice and I just love the ice that melts in your mouth. The flavor was perfectly spread out and in every bite. I love the protector they put it in! The best part is enjoying your yummy treat and not getting any on you! I do wish they had some seats.

Cute little locally owned shaved iced stand that we passed by and made a quick u turn to visit. It's in a corner of a shopping strip mall and hard to notice. Parking is where ever you can. It was also busy. We chose a medium and was gifted these big sno cones loaded with syrup. To much infact. The girl helping us was busy with a long line of customers but she was also on her i hime the entire time. On speaker phone too!! I was worried she'd get our order wrong. When ringing it up she charged me for extra for vanilla but it said I could choose three flavors and I only chose two. She. Asked she said yea you wanted sweet cream vanilla. No that is not what I asked for. Fixing it she finally got it right. My daughter hated hers. It had a very very bad aftertaste but mine was good. After awhile it did make my belly ache. But to much sugar does that to me. For two it was $10.50. Not really worth it considering my daughter didn't like hers. I would go again to support local and ask for less syrup. I did love the addition of sprinkles. Kinda cute. They were free to add too!! Must visit and support local for sure.

This is the powdery, melt-in-your-mouth kind of snow cone that is popular in Hawaii (they call it shave ice).

I stopped here for my final lunch in Indy before heading to the airport. I wasn't in a hurry but was skeptical with one person working but man, did she hustle! I created my own bowl and it was just what I was looking for.....quality fish, spice and all the add ins (they don't charge extra for avocado either, hooray!) As always with these places, love that you can opt for the poke over greens vs. rice so this is easily a healthy meal if you want it and a great place for beginners wanting to try poke.

I recently came back from Hawaii where poke is popular and I saw that they offer kani along with their raw fish options. I was excited because I've wanted to try the other things that come in the bowl but not necessarily raw fish. I love spicy Kani so I got the make your own bowl which seems to be popular because you don't get charged extra for items. Service was great! Not sure if he was the owner but he was very nice and made great suggestions since it was my first time. I didn't care for the seaweed salad so I'll opt out of that next time. It was like sushi in a bowl. Next time I'd like to try their shaved ice.

The store is colourful and cute but not over the top, and the seating is very comfortable. They have wifi. I got a taro meets ube drink with pudding and a pumpkin spice egg waffle (fall special). I haven't had an egg waffle in a while since I don't know of any other place in Bloomington that makes them and I love pumpkin spice, so I was very excited about this waffle, and it did not let me down. The pumpkin spice flavour was nice, the waffle was fluffy and cooked right. They lightly drizzled it with a caramel sauce but the waffle itself wasn't too sweet so it balanced out. I liked the taro meets ube, which was taro milk tea with ube paste. The taro and ube flavours were similar but enhanced each other. I didn't see if I could adjust the sweetness level, but the default wasn't overly sweet. I was able to get this drink with soy milk instead of regular milk, although the barista let me know that the ube paste contains milk that can't be removed. The barista and lady cooking in the back both seemed very friendly. My drink was ready quickly. It took a while, maybe 15 minutes to get my waffle, but they apologized for the wait. There's a 4% charge on card purchases. Bring cash to save a little.
