No one loves a sandwich more than I do. So when a place like Terra Craft Sandwiches decides to…read morededicate itself entirely to the craft? That's the kind of commitment that deserves respect... The French onion grilled cheese isn't just a menu item, it's a moment. The kind that forces you to pause mid-bite and reassess life. Gooey, unapologetically rich cheese melted into perfectly chewy sourdough, delivering that deep, savory French onion flavor in every bite. It's indulgent without being sloppy, bold without trying too hard. And yes, it comes with au jus--but here's the thing: it's almost not needed. Almost. That sandwich stands on its own. This is the kind of place that makes you excited about what else is on the menu... while also making it incredibly difficult to order anything else. Because how do you not go back to something that already feels like the peak? Terra isn't just making sandwiches--they're making arguments for why sandwiches might be the most perfect food we have.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more It is only fitting that I check out another breakfast/brunch place with the iconic American breakfast staple "biscuit" mentioned in their name. As for such locales within the Space Coast, this is the third one (off the top of my head) I have had the pleasure to dine in, right after "Oh" and "Twisted." So was Grumpy's Biscuits (which I will shorthand simply to Grumpy's for the remainder of this review) just another fine establishment to add to other fine breakfast estabishments here on the coast that shoots off rockets, or did they standout. I am happy to review that Grumpy's has enough subtlety to standout without smashing the competition. That is something I admire because I prefer options within harmony, Competition amongst competitors to improve one's self. Even though an address is provided, Grumpy's is located on Highland Ave., just north of the westbound part of Eau Gallie Blvd. within the EGAD. If it helps, it is right across the street from the EGAD Civic Center. First and foremost, the building Grumpy's is located in is an iconic landmard within the EGAD. Grumpy's shares the building with other businesses in which they occupy the southernmost business space, which is quite small with a small indoor eating area and a small outdoor patio with each table having individual umbrellas for shade or rain cover. It fits as Grumpy's is said in two phrases: "simple and trendy" and "cozy." The workers and owner are friendly and hospitable, and they assisted me in deciding on what to eat, which they have given each of their biscuits/sandwiches/etc. a female name. I chose "Lisa," a breakfast biscuit consisting of bacon, over easy egg, smoked gouda, mixed greens, and housemade balsamic glaze. Couple of notes about this amazing biscuit, the bacon were thick cut and candied. Truly amazing. And the balsamic glaze. Whatever their recipe is, it is amazing. I could definitely have that on many a meal. Yes, I know exactly how I wrote that! As for the coffee, I got an iced coffee which is premade and ready-to-serve. They use half-and-half and stevia in the raw. Ergo, the coffee was what I wanted. Finally, the restroom. Take note the "water closet" is outside in the hallway. Since the restaurant is small, it is a single-server. Fortunately, it was stocked and clean. There was also an "ambiance" of class, which is nice given the fact the restaurant is... well... small... and the restroom is probably shared with the other businesses, too. Ultimately, Grumpy's was an amazing initial visit and I look forward to visiting them again. Since this is the first and only time (so far) I have been here, I will give them four out of five stars. After a couple more visits, if they stay consistent, I will add their fifth star for consistency.

Now to be fair it was a to-go order so when I got to work it wasn't as fresh maybe as it should. Biscuit was good sized and tasty, a bit dry, sausage was very tasty and egg was half an omelette....not sure if there was cheese on it, maybe in the egg omelette and I just didn't see it or taste it. I would try it again, next time maybe add butter to the biscuit, a little less egg and cheese that is melted somewhere on it.

However, very little was explained to me about the restaurant or food. They said they were happy to answer questions, but I didn't even know where to start with questions. The young lady who was the cashier, told me about the reward program, but then didn't really tell me how to sign up for it. That's a moot point because I don't intend to go back to the restaurant, ever. I ordered the ultimate Italian sub for my son, and the chicken bacon ranch for myself. I waited as they made the sandwiches, and noticed a board showing more options to put on the sandwiches, so I asked if they could add those things on my sandwich, and they said that they could. They told me my sandwiches were ready, so I go to get my sandwiches, and they didn't even put my sandwiches in a bag. They put the sandwiches, and a bundle of napkins on the counter and just left me to juggle everything with my purse, out to my car on my own because my son had waited in the car, and wasn't with me. This was the annoying experience so far. We got to my house and my son and I open our food. That is when I saw my sandwich came with absolutely no sauce on it other than the avocado which was extra. I assumed foolishly that a sandwich named chicken bacon RANCH might have ranch on it, but that's just crazy talk I guess. Despite the extras I asked for, the sandwich was very bland, and the board had vegetables on it as toppings that were not added to my sandwich. The blandness was mystifying. I saw slices of white onion on the sandwich and I was thinking I would probably have to pick some of them off expecting them to be too strong, but I ate half the sandwich and tasted no onion! I can't wrap my brain around the onions having no taste, but it seems to match everything else on the sandwich. I also tasted no pickles or tomatoes on the sandwich. The most flavorful vegetable on the sandwich was the stupid lettuce! I know my son used to eat there frequently, so I asked him about his sandwich, and he said his food was tasteless, and only had vinaigrette on it. He feels the quality has greatly declined in the last few years. We both have decided it wasn't worth $24 for 2 regular lackluster sandwiches. In summary, the people were polite, friendly, and respectful, the service was kind of disorganized, and the food absolutely sucked unless you're one of those people who thinks ketchup is too spicy!

Two have chickpea as a source with the third no having a plant based source of protein in the dish. We confirmed with the server that the guacamole did not contain dairy so ordered the plantain chips and guac as an app- highly recommend. Then after having many other burgers/sandwiches on our trip I opted for the chickpea pasta with veggies and leaving off the parm to make it vegan. I appreciate the volume of veggies in the dish, though the sauce was a touch too oily. The main issue was the cooks WAY over cooked the chickpea pasta so when they tossed it with the sauce and veggies 2/3 of the pasta had broken apart...
