I tried the Tidal Waves smoothie yesterday and it was beautiful and delicious. I like how they're adding protein to more menu items.

We ordered the following: Acai and Coconut base w/ Pura Vida topping (granola, blueberry, strawberry, and honey) Pitaya and Coconut base w/ (I forgot the name of the topping but it had banana, mango, granola, blueberry, and coconut flakes) Both bowls were very refreshing and I appreciate how they stuff the bowl to the brim with the base and toppings. My personal favorite was the coconut but honestly, everything was delicious. I also love how they sprinkle some granola on the bottom of the bowl and it maintains its crunchy texture even if it sits under the base for a while. Playa Bowls are definitely not cheap but if you sign up for their membership (just via phone number), you can collect points and/or receive discounts. Aside from the delicious treats, the staff members were friendly and were very quick!

The towing situation in this lot feels predatory, and Whole Foods appears to have little to no control over it. I parked with the full intention of shopping, briefly stepped away with my dog, and returned within about 35-40 minutes--only to find my car had been towed. Staff couldn't even tell me where my vehicle was, and the on-site security was no help and seemed unaware of what was going on. Because Whole Foods doesn't allow dogs inside, I had no choice but to remain outside while trying to figure out what happened. I was left stranded, with my wallet inside my car, and had to pay for an Uber and $230 in towing fees--meaning I had to prioritize retrieving my car instead of buying groceries. What's most frustrating is that Whole Foods positions itself as a premium, customer-focused store, yet the parking situation does not reflect that at all. There is a clear lack of coordination between the store, security, and whoever is enforcing towing in the lot. This experience was stressful, avoidable, and completely unacceptable. It felt less like customer support and more like a system that allows predatory practices to happen right outside the store. Please be mindful where you park; be sure to travel with soenone! I would never want someone else to go through this--especially someone alone in that situation.

She clearly saw me, rolled her eyes, and continued stuffing her face. Absolutely disgusting and beyond unprofessional. When she finally decided to do her job, she had the nastiest attitude and acted like I was bothering her. On top of that, she was coughing loudly and had the nerve to cough all over my food and the counter. Completely unsanitary. I even asked her, "Ma'am, do you have COVID?" because at that point it was ridiculous. She looked at me like I was the problem. OUTRAGEOUS. Unfortunately, the woman taking orders today was coughing continuously, uncovered, while handling food items and interacting closely with customers. It was uncomfortable and frankly alarming in this setting. If an employee has a chronic cough or is unwell, at the very least they should be required to wear a mask -- especially when taking orders, greeting guests, and preparing or handling food. This is basic infection control in any environment, but it should be non-negotiable in a hospital. I hope this feedback leads to immediate improvements for the safety of customers and patients alike.
