Highly recommend. The owner, Yazmin, is incredibly welcoming and kind. I have celiac disease and she reassured me about the safety of the food including the tortilla chips! This is hands down a hidden gem in downtown Cabo San Lucas! I was searching for a unique restaurant on Yelp and this one quickly caught my attention by their vibrant atmosphere and unique foods. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I loved the murals, plants, and tropical bird mobiles decorating the walls and ceilings. The cook/owner of the restaurant is a really friendly guy and we had great conversations about his family and the concept of the restaurant. The food is purely vegetarian and vegan, now I'm a carnivore but I still loved all of it! My favorite place on earth. Tropical Kitchen is a hidden gem in Cabo San Lucas. You'll find this fruity oasis when you escape the crowds and explore deeper into the city. I've visited the Tropical Kitchen twice now - once with my brother and another with my parents. Both visits left us as lifelong supporters of this concept. It's hard not to be when the business is ran by the sweetest husband and wife duo - #couplegoals. Every item on their menu is handcrafted and made fresh to order. I've tried both their acai bowls and smoothies and each left me wanting more. The presentation is also top notch! You won't find a more aesthetic menu item in all of Cabo. The açaí bowls are served on hand painted platters and the smoothies come with their own tiki hut. While the Tropical Kitchen specializes in smoothies and acai bowls, they recently launched additional menu items like burritos, tortas, and chilaquiles. Cute place! We came by earlier today and the food presentation was so beautiful. The smoothie was so refreshing and not too sweet at all! It was refreshing and it had nice bits of chunks of fruits to it. There were also coconuts and chia seeds. We also had cold brew frappe it was very delicious and refreshing! My boyfriend ordered this. Additionally we ordered the green chiqualies and the xcalel açaí bowl. We really liked the chiqualies but the açaí bowl was a bit sour! Loved this place so much we went here twice on our trip to Cabo! The interior is gorgeous and inviting to local birds. We had excellent service from the owners both times we went and the food was incredible. I highly recommend ordering anything with the hibiscus "al pastor" (they bring out a bit for you to try with chips when you arrive). It was so delicious I'm going to attempt to recreate it at home! I also ordered the Tropical Waffles on our second visit to which I also highly recommend (my boyfriend says they were the best waffles he's ever had)! My friends and I were in Cabo for four days and after stumbling upon this hidden gem, we visited three times. It's clear the owners (Jazmin and Allan) are passionate about their dream -- they have made Tropical Kitchen a warm, inviting place, with tons of healthy vegan options. They welcomed us into their restaurants as if it was their own home and I loved getting to know them both. They generously shared their history, ambitions, and love for cooking -- which is all based in the chef/owners hometown in Mexico. Everything we had on the menu was delicious (including fresh fruit smoothies) and had a beautiful presentation. I was so happy to be able to take home a bottle of their traditional chile de arbol salsa for myself! Awesome food! They are run by a husband wife team. The wife is the chef. They are super inventive and creative with their salsas and even make a "pastor" from hibiscus flower. The salsa they make is from the wife's hometown, quite spicy, with chile de arbol. We ended up buying the hibiscus flower and salsa for friends and family. I was staying at an Airbnb in this particular neighborhood and the District coffee place was closed the two occasions I tried to visit so I had to wander the streets and stumbled onto this oasis in the desert. They have been in this location since July 7th having moved from another spot close to the area. The owner, Yazmin, said this was a bigger space than the small storefront they had before. They serve juices, smoothies and a variety of vegetarian bites. It's a healthy resto and the owner gave me a sample of three chips with something like beans that she says they use for imitation meat. It turns out it was made of Jamaica which is a flower, very interesting. It was tasty indeed with a little spicy kick to it. I ordered a smoothie called Aquila which is made with cocoa, peanut butter and was refreshing in the hot Cabo heat. I'd definitely come back again to try some of the bites if ever in this neck of the woods. read more

I scoped this place out on Yelp before my long-weekend Cabo visit and am so glad my friends and I walked across town to enjoy some fresh, healthy food here! It was a hot, late morning when we arrived so a smoothie bowl sounded perfect. I ended up going with the Balandra Bowl which included a mango pineapple base topped with shredded coconut, cacao nibs, chia seeds, dried fruit, granola/oats, fresh strawberries, mango and pineapple. It was refreshing and just what I needed! The garnishes were super cute too. I got a fresh flower, a couple leaves and a small metal flamingo spoon. My friend enjoyed her pretty strawberry smoothie and my other friend liked her salad with chicken. If I didn't get so full I would have ordered a savory menu item as well because so many options sounded good! Love how they are vegan/plant-based friendly and the prices aren't too steep. Our waiter did bring us a complimentary sweet and spicy hibiscus snack served with tortilla chips which was also tasty! So I did get a bite of something savory. :) The place is small so be prepared to wait for a seat or take your food to go. I love the colorful, "tropical" interior and our waiter was friendly. My husband and I ordered the banana hotcakes that came with strawberries, banana, granola, coconut flakes, chia, and maple syrup; Jamaica Vegan sandwich, which came with a side salad; and reggae vegan burrito, which also came with a side salad and dressing.
