I chose to install a new glass shower door by myself. I faced all kinds of challenges - not the least of which was that I had no experience. LOL. Additionally, the walls of the alcove shower were not plumb and I asked Tropical Art Glass to cut the fixed pieces on a bias, to align with the walls. They performed excellently, made the glass to exactly the right size, positioned openings for the hinges and brackets appropriately, packed and shipped the glass to me without a hitch. And that wasn't next door. My project was in Michigan, and they shipped the glass from Florida. And yes, even with shipping that far, they were still substantially the low-cost solution. I used Tropical glass for 3 bathrooms in 2010, and again in 2016 both times (3 bathrooms) we had custom shape and custom sizes. TG followed up well and guided us and our contractor through measurement complications - made sure we knew what we were doing and I sent the engg drawing to them. Quick and efficient turnaround in our last bathroom one panel was etched on the wrong side and TG correcyyed that and send us a replacement at no charge. Very pleased with glass clarity, quality and hardware quality, was considering going with low iron glass, but no need with your standard offering.
