bed bug bites a day after

BEWARE OF BED BUGS stayed here for one night before going on my trip to disneyland. if you don't look too carefully, the room seems clean, but thats not really the case. i highly advise you to check thoroughly before staying. the morning i checked out i noticed a few bumps which i thought were mosquito bites, however it became more unbearable throughout the day. i already thought it was weird when i woke up seeing tiny blood spots on my pillow. bed bug bits typically appear hours after they bite so i wasn't able to notify the front desk right when we check out. however, when i made the call to notify the hotel, NOT asking for compensation or anything else, the lady wasn't very understanding. she kept asking why i didnt tell them when i checked out, but like i said i had no idea it was bed bugs til after. as a hotel manager, it is YOUR responsibility to keep the hotels clean and safe from bugs. as a customer i expected a safe and relaxing environment but ended up with even more stress to deal with after.

Baby roaches

I would give this place less stars if I could. Saw nothing but good reviews about this place when looking. We were trying to find somewhere affordable for our honeymoon. This place is disgusting! As soon as I walk in it smells weird and the walls are nasty. I check the bed to see it looks ok. Then the bathroom. There were baby roaches scattering. Managed to get a picture of two. There was hair strands in the sink and toilet. When I told the manager this she changed rooms and the second was the same. She refused the refund when I said I would stay and still charged me two nights stay because it was "My Fault". Horrible customer service.

This is from my confirmation email.

Clean room, everything worked. Bed was comfortable. Price was very decent. Place is quiet with no "riff-raff" going on around.

Since it is a pretty new Hilton brand, most locations are new builds or full renovations. Rooms are mini-suites with full kitchenettes with full size refrigerators and an electric cooktop complete with pots, pans, dishes & silverware. Coffeemaker & cabinet hung microwaves are standard. Standard rooms have a king bed or 2 queens with a pullout sleeper couch. There is even a ceiling hung curtain for semi-privacy between the couch & beds. I like that there are plenty of electrical & USB outlets to charge all my devices. The 55" TV is nice also. This location has other plusses and minuses. On the plus side, it is about 4 miles down the road from Disneyland, which is far enough not to be very expensive and still a short convenient drive to the park. That's why we saw a lot of families sporting Mickey Mouse ears at breakfast. An included hot breakfast is also a great plus to feed a family without having to go to a restaurant in the morning. On the down side, being less than 500 ft from the freeway entrance is a pain. The entrance/exit out of the parking lot to Harbor Blvd is often blocked by all the traffic in the right lane trying to get onto Hwy 22. Some drivers are courteous to let you turn into the lane, but good luck if there's a string of tractor-trailers and traffic on the highway is backed up for miles. For the $18/day (+tax) parking fee, I don't want to have to fight traffic just to leave.

I was only a guest for 2 days and my room's Wi-Fi did not work until 1 hour before checkout on the 2nd day. It would've been better if I had reception and could use my phone's data plan, but it was a dead spot and I could not use my phone. The hotel did not provide any updates during the repair, but I do know it was not a hotel-wide outage. The elevator situation was also a complete mess. In all my life, I had never seen a line to use an elevator at any hotel. Average wait times from the lobby to my room on the 4th floor ranged anywhere from 5-12 minutes. It was MUCH faster to take the stairs, which I did multiple times. I'm sure the high traffic had to do with the dance competition that was happening that weekend, but this was definitely a nuisance. It also seemed like all 3 elevators were in working condition. The room itself was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and parking was easy.

Her tone was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily harsh from the start. Instead of welcoming guests, she lectured them about hotel rules in a condescending way that felt completely out of line. The situation escalated when she said, "If you want to stay, you stay, or you can leave if you want to cancel." No paying customer with a confirmed reservation should ever be spoken to like that. What made this even worse was the way she singled out and spoke to my brother's family--it felt targeted and uncomfortable, and honestly came across as discriminatory behavior. Whether intentional or not, that is completely unacceptable in any customer service setting. Because of how they were treated, my brother chose to cancel the reservation immediately. No one should have to tolerate that kind of attitude just to check into a hotel. Management seriously needs to address this. Staff behavior like this doesn't just ruin a stay--it drives customers away and raises serious concerns about how guests are treated.

Parking in the area usually runs $25-$45 a night, and we got free parking. We also had breakfast both days, which I'd easily value around $40 for a family of four. That's already close to $100 in savings, so you're really looking at about $180 for the room itself. You also get a trolley/shuttle to Disneyland, which adds even more convenience. We arrived early in the morning before check-in and were still able to grab breakfast. Even though the room wasn't ready yet, the staff let us check in smoothly, and we got the room later in the afternoon without any issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not luxury, but well-maintained and exactly what you need after a long Disney day. Location is a big plus -- close enough to walk to Disneyland, which is huge when you have kids and don't want to deal with parking or long shuttles. Breakfast is one of the better continental options. Not a fancy buffet, but solid and convenient before heading out. Service was friendly and efficient. Staff handled early arrival well and made everything easy. Only downside -- I didn't notice an elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage. You can also hear the trolley at times, especially at night, but it wasn't a big issue for me. I saw this mentioned in earlier reviews and it matched my experience. Overall, once you factor in free parking, breakfast, and the shuttle, it's actually a great value for Disneyland. Clean, easy, and family-friendly. I would come back.

On my most recent stay, I was placed in a handicap accessible room that I did not request when booking. Not a huge issue, but definitely not what I expected. During the stay before that, on my last day, I stopped at the pool bar to relax and have a few drinks. The entire time, the bartenders and wait staff were either on their phones or arguing with each other. It made for a pretty uncomfortable atmosphere and took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. On the stay prior to that, I had a very negative interaction with a manager, which I reported in a letter. The response from the hotel was lukewarm and didn't leave a good impression. I felt I was treated poorly, especially for a property at this level, and the small number of points offered felt more dismissive than helpful. On top of that, tours were repeatedly brought through the gym while my guests and I were trying to work out. I understand the space may be open, but having multiple groups walk through filming on their phones, combined with the manager's reaction and comments, was frustrating and honestly left a lasting negative impression. I will say the front desk staff are excellent and the housekeeping team is outstanding. Unfortunately, the issues with other areas overshadow the great work they do. And, honestly, for a place so close to a theme park, I was kind of expecting to be ripped off. Shockingly, I wasn't! The check-in was super easy and the guy at the front was really nice. Unfortunately, I've been getting used to abrasive front-desk people, so it was great to have someone pleasant. The room was a little tricky to find, but once we got in, we were very impressed with how wonderfully clean everything was. Having stayed at so many hotels for family trips, work trips, and just to get away, I will say that the cleanliness of this hotel is above average. Even the elevator smelled nice. We got the one-bedroom with 2 queens room. These beds were very comfortable, almost like home. The sheets were hotel sheets, so fine I guess. I got a pretty decent night of sleep. The living room pull-out sofa was actually kind of comfortable too. In the morning, we went to the huge breakfast area that actually featured some really great stuff. Having a food allergy, I'm used to being disappointed at free breakfasts. Sunday, I was spoiled for choice. Monday morning before we checked out, a little less so. Finally, the highlights and let-downs: the biggest highlight for us was our room location. On the 4th floor, facing Disneyland, we got a free fireworks show from bed both nights. It made the whole experience much nicer for me. However, the let-down was that the builders cut corners and the walls are very thin. On Sunday morning, I could hear every single door opening and closing, every heavy-footed person walking, every time the elevator came. It happened overnight as well, but I always bring ear plugs to hotels. Overall, it was great - just wish the walls had more insulation.

The same housekeeper who had a bad attitude with my sheets changing request, brought up the shower gel and expected me to change it myself again while she's... eating chips. Please get better housekeepers than this before your housekeeping completely ruins the Hilton name! I give 0 stars for this housekeeper. Other than that, the room is spacious and in good location close to Disneyland with many restaurants. Pictures after I already brushed off a lot of these black dirt on the sheets and cover.
