So, when he texted me approximately 2 months later to tell me that he was no longer going to weed the new beds while I was halfway across the country; sure, I suppose it can be argued that he gave me notice "in advance". I'd ask what the heck I was supposed to do at that point as flower bed upkeep labor is hard to find, particularly when you're not home.
