We usually use a free service, but a new home purchase made this one a bit more precarious. Show up at 5 mins til 3, and told we'll be called. Wait... wait... wait... 45 mins later a woman enters as a walk in. Shes taken to see someone within 5 mins. At this point, we approach the receptionist to ask whats up. She says that our guy is still with someone. The walk in was taken because she is, I quote, "somethin different". We tell her to cancel us and we'll figure it out on our own. I understand that as a tax service, its not like they can give us a free meal or anything. So I simply wanted to leave my experience to say we will not be using their services again.

After we filed it I called and went into the office no less than 8 times over the next year inquiring about my taxes.. Every time I called I got a different story. One time I was told not to worry because I had an additional extension due to a federal hurricane declaration. Another time I was told Bill was on vacation and he would call me back. Still other times I was told they were working on it and they would update me. Nobody ever returned my calls or kept me in the loop about anything. Finally, I started receiving letters from the IRS about paying my overdue taxes. Even when I called and told them this I was again told they would call me back. I finally ended up having to go a different route to file my taxes. In the end I payed four times the cost of going to a different accountant in late penalties and interest. They lacked the basic professionalism to tell me they weren't handling my tax return so I could get ahead of it and handle it differently. They just strung me along while it cost me thousands of dollars extra. Bill always seems very overworked and he will keep you hanging about the status of your taxes. I cannot recommend this CPA to anyone under any circumstances!

An absolute waste an con. They were pretty useless and kept insisting that I go right to…read morelitigation and use one of their lawyers for an additional 10% of what comes the outcome is. I had to call almost weekly at first to get any answers. When I said I wanted to go to mediation, I had to tell them how to set it up because my rep had no clue. He once again pushed to go to litigation with one of their lawyers. He finally agreed to mediation and set it up after being told how to do it. The resulted in me having to hire another inspection at the cost of over $2k and an umpire at about $2400. When I requested photos that they took for the adjuster and umpire, they said Citizens had them and Citizens says that they never received them. Now that everything is settled, they're claiming I received about $5k more than I did from insurance to get more money. Seriously find a legitimate company. Ask your insurance agent if they have recommendations or look around.
