I was late for my appointment (when am I ever on time? let's be honest) and I only had to wait 5 minutes. Best part. They are going to let you take your picture for your license over. If you don't like it. You have to live with this picture for nigh on a decade, so you want to look good. The people of the Gadsden County Tax Collector understand that. They get it. Everyone I've had interaction with was professional and helpful. The folks at the front desk are excellent at engaging people coming in and putting them in the right direction. They are polite but authoritative, a difficult balance to achieve if you've ever worked in a retail or service industry. If you are using a cell phone in the lobby they will not hesitate to ask you to take the call outside, which I appreciate. Workforce plus is a place where you get back what you put in. They offer many different workshops weekly and even have loaner clothes if you don't have interview appropriate attire. The staff there will inform you of your options and help you navigate the many steps sometimes required for higher level training or assistance. My experience has been all positive. My only complaint would be the plaza looks run down and sketchy but after having been there several times I no longer feel unsafe. FYI Monday seems to be the busy day. If you need a job they can help.
