The United States needs more wine shops like this!…read more We stumbled upon this place after the beer shop we were looking for was closed for the afternoon. I mean, we're in Paris so you gots to drink some vin, oui? The owner, Phillippe, was absolutely lovely and chatted with us about the various wines they have on tap (40!). How it works: It's a card system that is loaded with 20 Euros. You go around and put the card into the machine, pick the wine you want and the sample size. You can get just a sample, medium fill or a full glass. Once you're done drinking, hand the card to the cashier and pay the amount you drank. Most of the sample sizes cost around 1-1.5Euro. For me, this is a great way to sample a variety of wines without committing to a full glass. There is plenty of seating on the main floor as well as the lower level. Bringing some snacks and it would make for a great evening!

Looooved Wine Touch!…read more Basically you get a pre-paid card (you don't have to spend the whole amount) and swipe the card each time you want to try one of the many, many different wines scattered around the shop. [If you like sweet dessert wines they're all downstairs!] Prices for each tasting range based on how much you want (half or full glass) and the type of wine. Philippe the owner was especially friendly and super helpful with explaining the process, the wines, and which meats and cheeses paired best.

BLUF: Great selection of wines and spirits, the absolute best customer service and my go to wine…read moreshop in all of Paris...Get the Sainte Marie des Crozes En Rebellion Pinot Noir! I stumbled into Le Vin qui Parle the first time roughly 2 or 3 years ago soon after they opened. What an experience! The employees were amazing, polite and knowledgeable. They jumped right in telling me all about the different wines and helped me select a few that I could take back home to the US. My favorite was the Rebellion Pinot Noir which also has the best story behind the Vineyard and why they named it Rebellion. It is very bold Pinot Noir which can be pretty rare. While I have been taken care of by Loïc Aubert the owner before I had no idea it was his shop till my last visit. I was there with some work colleagues and we all got to talking and tasting some of the great spirits they had available. It was a fabulous time, we sipped amazing scotch and chatted about American Bourbon. I ended up getting several bottles of spirits and wine. The prices were very reasonable and coupled with the great customer service and experience overall it was a total bargain. I try to make it here every time I'm in Paris and highly recommend it to everyone!

I've come here 3 times in the past 3 weeks and I'm not even a cheese fanatic…read more I heard about this place a month ago when my friend's dad who was visiting Paris took out a crumpled receipt from his pocket, put it in my hand and said GO HERE. When paternal figures are this emphatic, I listen. Housed in a ex-gas station by the canal, it's an unpretentious wine and cheese cave with a few tables run by two friends Marwen (cheese guy) and Sélim (wine guy). You can come in pick up a fromage or three and a bottle to go. Or you can stay leave it to Marwen to bring a planche of lovely cheeses with charcuterie and Sélim to pick out a wine to go with the selection and your taste. I wholeheartedly recommend the second choose your own adventure option. Not only do they have excellent recommendations, the owners are incredibly nice and hospitable. When I showed up with a friend 20 minutes before afternoon closing time, Marwen stayed a whole extra hour in an empty shop with us. Love this place. Go, go, go, go.

This is a nice place! Not a suprice for this area just full of good and unique places…read more It is small shop that will interest you at first sight as it is not so usual to get a bar which is a shop at the same time. In addition your eyes will immediately be attracted with the decoration : trendy welcoming and original. If you pop by go have a look in the toilet deco is still nice there too 4 stars not 5, why? Just because I thought at the end if you stop for wine tasting and cheese it is quite expensive. Even if it is good quality I thought that regarding the quantity it was a bit too much. In addition I am a big fan of cheeses and I have found very few cheese I didn't like and by wanting to be unique and original I found in that place some cheeses I did not like I also found amazing one as well as the wine so go and try yourself you won't regret it and you will be more than well welcomed

April 11, Montmartre Pastry and Chocolate Food Tour, Paris…read more Our family of four with a son 9 and daughter 10 did a pastry and chocolate tour through Montmartre and it ended up being a really fun way to explore the area. Arrival and First Impressions The group was small, just our family and another family, which worked out well. The shops we visited were tiny so taking turns going in and out was part of the experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and walked us through side streets, small parks, and local spots we would never have found on our own. The Highlights We stopped at six different locations including chocolatiers, bakeries, and pastry shops. Highlights included a choux pastry, crepes, madeleines, artisan eclairs, and multiple chocolate tastings. The final stop for hot chocolate and macarons was excellent. The macarons were so good we ended up buying some to bring home. The tour was not just about food. We saw the Love Wall, hidden streets, and learned about the history of Montmartre including small details about the neighborhood that made it feel more personal. The Challenges The guide did not have a very loud voice so in a bigger group it might have been harder to follow, but with our small group it worked fine. Would We Return Yes, especially to try a different tour. It was a great mix of food and exploring. Final Thoughts This tour is a great way to experience Montmartre beyond just walking around. The combination of food, history, and hidden locations made it a memorable and worthwhile experience.

Their ticket purchasing process is misleading and unethical. You go about filling our information,…read morelike you do for many websites, but unlike any other website, you hit the "Next" button (for the third time) and suddenly you have purchased the ticket, without any opportunity to review your tour date, number of participants or even credit card info. All the previous "Next" buttons led to the next step in the process, as is implied by the word and as you would expect, but not this one - it is the final confirmation of purchase even though there is NO indication that this is about to happen. Then they tell you that there are no refunds under any circumstances and that the credit and ticketing laws do not apply to them. Perhaps this is because they are based in Cyprus, which I assume they have chosen precisely to evade regulations. Note that they say there are no refunds no matter what - even if your overall trip gets cancelled or the tour gets cancelled or the guide does not show up. Be very careful, or better yet, avoid these folks and do any of the other more legitimate tours out there for wherever you are travelling to.
