Everything could improve. From staff to doctors to patients care. Work there as a travel nurse and the type of care provided is horrible.

Had to bring my 4-month old daughter by his office last Friday, and I am impressed with the staff,…read morethe toys, the entertainment for the kiddos, pictures on the walls, etc. This place is SPOTLESS, and had enough "stuff" to entertain my 2 year old who came with us. Dr. Maxwell is friendly, but very serious about his job. Almost a little too serious since he made little to no communication to our little ones. He came in, introduced himself to us, took a look at the screens, said hello to the kids, then started doing what he needed to do, with a straight face the whole time. Did he find something bad? Didn't find anything at all? Show me some expression!!! Eventually after 15 minutes of looking at our baby, he finally decided to talk to us and said everything was good! PHHEEEW! RELIEF! Maybe its just his personality or the way he likes to work... not mad, but wish he would smile a little more. On a really bright note, he actually showed my toddler out to their treasure chest to get a toy, and one of the staff ended up getting down on a knee and showing my daughter the different stickers she could have along with a loli-pop. We all left the office feeling good and happy! Awesome cardiologist office from top to bottom.

My third child was born with a heart murmur. At the time we were living in Europe and our first…read morecardiologist didn't really offer much besides, "it will fix itself in time". Though this was reassuring in some way, I had only a single measurement of the hole to hold on to as information. When we arrived in California I did a yelp search for pediatric cardiologists and found Heart of the Valley. During our first visit with them, I was pretty much a ball of high strung chaos and their entire team was like a sigh of relief. My daughter and I were welcomed to the office and given time to settle in and calm down without feeling rushed or hurried through the process. Babies need to nurse sometimes to chill, and they totally get that. Dr. Maxwell took time familiarizing himself with our situation. He explained things to me, the magic of the heart. I never left with an unanswered question which really is the sign of a great doc in my opinion. We have since moved overseas and still tell people about Dr. Maxwell and his lovely team. If we ever came back to the area, that's where our daughter would be seen again.

Very good professional and thorough listens to your concerns highly recommend…read more Have been going to him for years And have recommended him to family and friends Very easy to get appointments

I made an appointment with Dr. Srikrishin Rohra for a second opinion…read more The original appointment was scheduled nearly six months out. Then, about three weeks before the visit, I fell and fractured three ribs--the 7th, 8th, and 9th on my left side. I called to reschedule, and my appointment was pushed back another 2 1/2 months or so. In the meantime, I fell again and broke my 3rd rib on the right side. I am 80 years old, and all of this has been causing me tremendous stress and pain. Now, my appointment with Dr. Rohra is just two weeks away. I was getting my information together and planning to bring it with me, since this would be our first meeting. Then someone from his office called and asked if I planned to attend. I told her yes. But instead of moving on, she began lecturing me--saying that I had canceled the last time, that there were many people on the waiting list, and so on. I received a long scolding simply for having rescheduled my previous appointment. After hanging up, I found myself wondering what that was all about. Then I thought: why am I being spoken to like a child for rescheduling? It wasn't last minute. The appointment was still weeks away. The more I thought about it, the less I liked it. So I decided to cancel altogether. If that's the kind of staff Dr. Rohra puts in charge, I don't want to see him at all. I am a patient, not a beggar. I don't need to be treated like that. I haven't even met the doctor yet. I am too old to be insulted in this way. This is very poor manners. Why is that woman working in a doctor's office?

Dr Maxwell is amazing and dedicated to his patients. He is so committed that he often would text…read moreemail or call after hours to discuss progress and sometimes check in. He listens carefully to both patient and parents and considers each symptom as important individuals and as an indication of the holistic situation. If I were only rating Dr Maxwell, my rating would be a 5. However...Patricia the non-medical office assistant seemed intent on extracting every cent from every interaction (like $50 for a single text exchange with the Doctor). I'm sure she has a tough job with all the administrative responsibilities of the office, but her attitude was unnecessary (to say the least) and to give you some sense of the collective opinion of her, there was a kid's group chat dedicated to complaining about her behavior. And unfortunately, the distaste for dealing with her is the primary reason we haven't gone back. We miss Dr Maxwell. Sorry to be so blunt but all true and hopefully this review can spark some self-reflection and perhaps some improvements can be made.

Can I leave no stars? I took my daughter to Dr. Maxwell after she got covid and started complaining…read moreabout heart palpitations and irregular heart beatings. After multiple tests, she was diagnosed with dysautonomia. And prescribed medications to control/regulate her heart. Long story short, one of these medications apparently can cause severe depression in teens and young adults. And that is the what happened to my then 12 year old. Depression was so severe she had to be put in a mental health facility for a few days. When I called to cancel the follow up appts for obvious reasons I explained why and they wanted to charge me a cancellation fee (not sure they did or not as I was in no state to check my credit card). Later, we called to get a referral so she could be seen by another pediatric cardiologist (for obvious reasons) and Dr. Maxwell refused to give us a referral leaving us with no care for my daughter - that is the quality of Doctor for Mr. Maxwell.
