The clientele is older than Polaris or Grandview. I'd say most of the members are in their 40s. The music seems to reflect that. Most of the members seem to know each other and have a lot of fun. 2. The work outs are a little less intense, but it depends on the trainers. Ty is the trainer at both locations. For those looking for more of a true Title experience with active rest at breaks and during core, this is more true-to-form. At Polaris, sometimes we are doing extreme cardio during what is supposed to be active rest. 3. Some of the membership policies seem odd. For example, this woman came in about 20 minutes after class had started and then took a bag right in front of us and did her own workout, even though there were plenty of spots in the back. She made a point of standing right in front of us so we couldn't move around the bags. It became very distracting during the core section when you are trying to follow the instructors and someone is hitting the bag standing right on top of you. We came in the next day and the EXACT same thing happened.

I stopped in for a free class and was simply asked when leaving if I wanted to join ( I did...). The equipment is clean, in excellent condition, and plentiful. The trainers are energetic, but instructional. They push you hard, but are quick to offer tips and corrections in a helpful way. And the workouts are killer. The advertise 800-1000 calories burned per hour, and I believe it. In addition to boxing, they offer treadmills and elliptical machines, weights, and all the basic amenities of a good gym. It's a great way to mix-up your exercise routine.

Or a man or woman looking to up your martial art (whatever that may be) skills is a micro- specialized gym? BJJ MMA Fitness is your place in Columbus. It's old school, but clean as a whistle and such a professional atmosphere. "Old school" in the sense it's minimalist because you don't need a lot of fancy equipment for your coach to teach you martial arts. Also "old school" because the coaches are professionally trained - clearly taking mutual respect for coach and student as well as seriousness of your training program to heart. But - they meet you where you are - just push you to be your best. Here's my personal example: In California, I used to box in a micro gym (pre-COVID) then I had a personal trainer that I had to let go. Since November I have not been able to find a replacement. I came to Ohio for the fall and by happenstance landed here for a trial class. Bob gave me a full hour of mitts and noodles and got me back to training with the patience of a saint and the teachings of an expert. If your curious about martial arts, want to revisit your old training or looking for a new gym with qualified experts, this is a great gym to check out. Have fun!

Today is actually my 3rd anniversary at The Human Form so what better time to finally write a…read morereview? The short story is HF changed my life. I'm nearly 61 and stronger and healthier than I've ever been. They helped me lose 70 lbs which was cool when I got to walk my daughter down the aisle at her wedding feeling good about myself and not worrying about the pictures to follow. It was even cooler when nearly 3 years later I held my granddaughter in my arms and felt confident I would be healthy and active and functional as she grew up. Enough about me. The concept of small group personal training flat out works. Never more than 5 people to coach so you get personal attention. You also get inspired, pushed, and motivated by the other folks. Worried about your age or your fitness level? Don't be. They make it work. The workouts are varied so you never get bored. Have or had some injuries? Don't worry about it. The coaches will modify anything so you stay healthy (or get better) and still provide you a challenging workout. By the way, I could do a separate review just on how good all the coaches are. Finally I will tell you that I assumed a high level of expertise from the coaches. What I didn't expect was to make friends and feel part of a community like I have and do. Bottom line this place is special. You should check it out.

I signed up for the challenge online due to the corporate marketing claiming it's "free" and met with Amanda for my consultation. RIGHT OUT THE GATE she explained what the challenge is AND that there is a $500 deposit down for it. Was I bummed it wasn't free? SURE, but nothing good is. And if you meet the goal you get your money back, and if you don't the money goes towards a membership. I NEVER felt pushed into a sale, AND I have brought a friend to try a class with me and they were AMAZING at making her feel welcomed and not obligated to sign up. Again, NO PUSHINESS at all. As a VERY well trained saleswoman I eat pushy sales people for breakfast, but didn't have to here (which is good, cause im sure that would be approved in my meal plan). I am on the last week of my fitness challenge and I did NOT lose 25 pounds, which was my goal. BUT, a big part of that is the meal plan was actually MORE food than I was used to eating and my dumb self didn't think to bring this struggle to my nutrition coach until just recently lol MY BAD, she was able to alter the plan to suit me MUCH better after I let her know I was struggling. I have done intensive bootcamps, cardio training, EVERYTHING and nothing compares to this workout. I have also seen a few reviews about people not knowing what to do, YA JUST GOTTA ASK. Every class a trainer has helped me with my footwork and form, without promt, and if you ask they take the time to help you happily. This place ISN'T cheap, but I'm okay with it, I'm willing to invest QUALITY into my health. Looking forward to starting the membership and continuing to get strong. I have never felt so strong in my life and im loving it. Thank you ILKB! PS. You are allowed to wear socks, I DO, and they clean the mat after EVERY CLASS .

I attended my first class here last night and I still have mixed feelings about it…read more.. I signed up online for a 3 class pass for $9.99. You have to call and schedule your class with them, there's no online portal or app which I find very inconvenient. They immediately add you on Facebook and put you in their accountability group. Which may work for some people, but I'll probably leave it, I don't want my newsfeed full of people asking for others to motivate them to come to class. No one greeted me when I walked in, so I found the locker room myself and stored my things. The first class they ask you to show up half an hour early so you can fill out paperwork. You also get a personal trainer the first class, they limit new members to two per class. The trainer spends the class showing you how to perform the punches and kicks which is super helpful, but you don't get the same workout the rest of the class does. I also don't like that this class is barefoot... they don't clean the floors in between classes so it seems kind of gross, I'll probably wear socks next time. After the class ended they immediately asked me to buy a membership. I refused as I haven't actually experienced a full class yet and I would like to use my two remaining class passes first. From what I did see of their membership packages, they're super expensive, their best value package equaling out to $41 a week.... I'll go back for at least my next class, but if they push the membership I'm probably done. The locker room seems really nice and all of the members seem to know each other. Everyone was laughing and joking before and after class, so they definitely seem to have a strong sense of community.
