He is a nice trainer that adjusts his workout to each individual because we are different in how much we can take.

Helped me change my bad experience into a good one. Great job management team!…read more They were quick and efficient.

Skip Leg Day, and Skip This Gym…read more Fusion Gym South Philly has potential in the same way a condemned building has "good bones." I was a member for a year. During that time, I never once found a working locker. For four months, nearly every lock was broken. When I asked staff, they said it was getting fixed. When I complained on Instagram, I was blocked. Repairs happen on a bizarre schedule. One day during peak hours, someone in a welding mask was using a blowtorch to solder the leg extension machine behind a single strand of caution tape. Sparks were flying, it smelled like molten regret, and I wasn't sure whether to finish my workout or file a mesothelioma claim. The locker room smells like a foot--the kind a Civil War barber-surgeon would immediately amputate. I would rather eat unsanitary street food than shower there. The humidity is intense, and the cleaning approach is laughable: one bucket of dirty mop water gets dragged across what feels like 20,000 square feet of gym floor. Are they rationing soap? Most members keep to themselves, but about one in ten act like they escaped auditions for a VH1 celebrity dating show. One regular in a crop top hoards three machines to do some kind of punching-based oblique workout. If you try to work in, he treats it like an act of war. Others proudly wear MAGA or "Atilis Gym" merch, radiating main-character energy no one asked for. There is no lunk alarm, no enforcement, and no gym etiquette. It's Bizarro Planet Fitness--a chaotic mirror version where weight-slamming is constant and common sense goes out the window. If there were a basketball court, people would probably be doing Snake Plissken shot clock drills in ski goggles. I even showed up in the background of a TikTok rant for using the hip thrust machine during someone's filming session. There's nothing wrong with a man trying to work his way out of a flat butt. The music is offensively loud. Despite wearing noise-canceling headphones and partial hearing loss, I could still make out every word of Kanye and Drake. There's an entire cardio section that stays empty because it sits under the loudest speaker in the city. The staff and trainers seem burnt out and disengaged. When I tried to cancel my membership, I was given three different answers across three calls. One person told me to call an 800 number. Another told me to wait until the end of the week. The third said it was canceled but to double-check with ABC Fitness. I gave up and emailed them myself. No one seemed to have the same answer twice. Final verdict: like skipping leg day, skip this gym. Your lungs, ears, and sanity will thank you.

I then contacted them to set up an appointment then I went there and saw first hand why they got amazing reviews. The personal trainer who I was paired up with by the name of Shawn is very knowledgeable. He takes everything into account past injuries you name it and he focuses on what you are looking to achieve. He is always keeping my body guessing and he constantly varies the routine. I am extremely happy that I found this gym to supplement my routine. They really do focus on the client and help get the results that you are looking for.

He's done a great job of understanding my fitness goals and creating a workout plan that feels catered to my needs. His cues and guidance help a lot, and it really feels like you're working out with a buddy who's always rooting for you. I've noticed a steady an improvement in my body when it comes to things like lifting, carrying heavy grocery bags, etc. I also really appreciate how clean the gym is. The equipment feels new, and the small, semi-private vibe helps me focus on my own workout. Highly recommend this place!

It all started DAY 1 when I went to sign up. She was nasty, ignorant, dismissive, and lacked knowledge and personality/ customer service BASIC skills. I left without signing up. After days I got help from a member at another location. As bad as I want to avoid the port Richmond location, sometimes I use their amenities as it is on my way to work. I went last night- she was going around telling people they close. She sees me and says you can't tonight from across the room. I look at her and look around because I couldn't believe she was talking to me. She then gets closer and says: "You use the tanning bed, right? Yeah, we are closing and they are shut down". I ask her to assure myself that they close at 9 and I have gotten there at the same time previously and the young men in the front have allowed me to do so cause 'there was no line'. She proceeds to tell me that's their policy as she's walking away. I get in my car to make calls to manager friends I know would have more knowledge. Despite what they told me, which she was wrong, I went in and asked for a paper copy of this policy. Yes, it says 15 mins prior to close they close, but I was also waiting up front in which that was no way to address someone. When I went back in a gentleman approached me. She comes from the back to the front I told her to not get near me, and not to speak to me. She tells me the boy is not authorized to make decisions or speak to me as he is still in training. I confirm he had a PF shirt on, so I would take his help as much as he could give. She stood there provoking with an ugly face! She remained there provoking and being NASTY as we were going at it at that point- me telling her to just stop talking to me, while the boy was trying to tell her to walk away, but clearly, he was new and felt thrown off. I felt bad so I just started addressing her. I reminded her of my first time walking in that location and made her aware that "I" was the one whom had left a review for her as I'm sure she'd seen it. She then grew calm. I asked her to help me cancel minutes prior; she told me to go online as she's doing stuff and dismissing me once again. After I mentioned the review, she walked to the computer again and started asking me for my info cause nowwww she could help me, which I should NOT have given her my info. She is and SHOULD NOT be the face of anything - let alone be dealing with people. I informed her had she been at the front desk when I walked in, it would NOT have been 8:47, highlighting the 2 minutes she did to me telling me it was 8:47 when I walked in and they stop at 8:45. Her ignorance was to feel bad for- UNPROFESSIONAL, shrugging her shoulders when I told her its 3 mins past, and we wasted more time arguing when she could've just allowed me. And it wasn't even the rules that frustrated me it was her nasty approach, shouting across the room, to come over and highlight 2 mins, dismissing herself again, and belittle that gentleman and speaking for him, telling me he can't help me as he had a PF shirt on, and shutting him up. Tanning would NOT have exceeded the 15 min time, but this employee carries her little bit of authority when no one is around over her head! I told her I deal with people, customer service, and manage some of the finest venues in the city, 7 days a wk. 13+ hrs a day!!!!! Told her she needs help - because we pay enough for the gym who has put limitations on times, and fees for NOTHING. Gym still dirty, staff still nasty and tanning beds always have burnt bulbs!!! I would rate it nothing is that was an option from the experience and encounters I have had with ONLY HER, & BOTH TIMES, she was by herself. Any other time she kept her mouth shut and smiled when other workers were around.
