READ BEFORE BOOKING! We booked a round trip party bus…read moreservice to take us from Nashville to Gatlinburg. AFTER I paid our balance (which I was told was due prior to service), they switched our service to a van day of. Even the driver was confused. The owner Ryan offered us the van prior due to having a smaller group than planned but we opted to pay the higher pricing to keep the party bus layout to enjoy our trip the way we intented. Then Lola, told us they dont do that and gave us the van at no discounted rate. I later found out that they dont typically agree to long distance trips like ours as they are aware their equipment is faulty and unreliable. Ryan decided to agree to the trip and use us as guinea pigs to see if it works. Had they given us the bus like promised, there was likelihood we would have been stranded on the side of I40. Had I been told up front we wouldn't be able to have the bus, I would've booked with a different company. So instead they made false promises to get our money that they are now not willing to return. To make matters worse, while in this van that we barely and uncomfortably fit in, our driver started falling asleep at the wheel on multiple occasions going 80+ mph, many times surpassing 90 with passengers in the vehicle. I as the client had to go up front to keep her awake. We were all terrified the entire drive. When we alerted the company to the safety concerns, Lola said she would look into finding another driver and follow up. Neither of which happened. Our driver would rapidly accelerate, tailgate people and then slam on the breaks when she got close throwing us around in the back. Mind you, some of the seats didnt even have seatbelts available. In one instance she cut someone off in the left lane to avoid a collision she would have caused, then proceeded to flip off the person as if it was their fault. She would weave in and out of traffic and wait until we were at our exit to cut across all 3 lanes to make it. The only thing saving the trip was she was a very sweet lady so I feel bad talking ill of her but she should not have been in charge of a long distance trip like this. Everything about the trip was handled very unprofessionally and the way her supervisors have responded to the situation has been nothing but dissatisfactory. On top of the above, on Saturday we were given the party bus for the 15 min drive into town. Our driver asked for 30 min notice of our pick up time. 2 hours before, I told her when we would be ready and then again at 30 min. 20 min before I hadn't heard from her so I called to find out the bus we were provided broke down and we would be delayed. I was told it would be 1 hour max to be picked up. We are exhausted from the day and have to wait for an hr with lots if bags. At the hr mark, I still hadn't heard back so I called back and was told another 30 min until we were finally picked up in a different bus. In the morning we asked to be picked up at 9. 20 min before I called to make sure we were still good for that time just to find out they hadn't left yet. They didnt arrive until 940. This made for a very long day as after the drive to Nashville, members of our group still had 6-10 hr drives home. We not only had to sit cramped for 4 hours in this small van (we would not have fit if our whole group been in attendance), we then had to start our other drives even later. The entire point of meeting in Nashville was so that we could have the party bus experience. We would have rather just driven ourselves to Gatlinburg so it was easier to get home. It defeated the entire purpose of us booking. When trying to remedy this situation, they have been unresponsive and not willing to work with us. I spent our entire drive home going through their google reviews to understand what I missed. I tried giving a small business a chance and regret it. On the reviews that are negative, the owner comments saying they are fake. This leads me to think the 5 star reviews are fake that he generated. I can prove this is not a fake experience if he trys to claim it is.

Danny, was so professional, and contacted me to give me first hand information about himself and company and how my clients' needs could be met. My clients were seniors, and he handled them with a white glove service. He called the night before the tour to confirm details. During the tour my clients contacted me that they loved him and I did great by setting up the tour for them. They had a wonderful time at the wineries, bought wine, and Danny even took them to the Smokies to get out of the car to take pictures at a look-out, then stopped them over for a Moon-shine tasting as well. I highly recommend Rocky Top Rides. Danny is first class. Very communicative and professional. I will always use this service for all my clients, and for myself as well.
