They also serve light lunches, but I came here for the sweets. They have a cute, covered patio where you can enjoy your food. However, during my visit, I saw lotsa locals swing by to grab takeout! It's not cheap (cake slices ~$6), but the Urban Slice that I had was FRESH, not too sweet! We got rid of the top half of the bread. Their chocolate croissant was good but hardly any chocolate. We really liked their deviled eggs 1 for $1 with a nice hint of onion flavour. And their coffee, hot chocolate and mango lemonade was good. This is a very nice bakery. I'm surprised it's not on the Main Street. I discovered this place today at the Downsview Market…read more I grew up with a lot of these traditional British products which British Baked Goods sells, i.e. Eccles cakes, Empire biscuits, scones (mostly raisin), fern tarts, different meat pies (Melton Mowbray). I purchased the Empire biscuits today which were outstanding. Nice, thick slabs of melt in the mouth goodness with a good, shiny glaze and rich jam as well as a package of raisin scones which were delicious ... mmmm. They have fruit pies as well. Good variety of product, and what I purchased was fresh. Seriously impressive.
