What a relief to find auto service in the Hanksville area (home base along with working with Andy…read morecovering Southern Utah) and Garrett and Roger were amazing and very accomodating for a couple traveling from northern AZ. We tried them around 3pm and needed an oil change for our Subaru Outback and a few hours later they were done and on our way...They even had a beautiful assistant travel to a neighboring town to get the right oil and filter. The price was fair and the two fine gentlemen even gave some local recommendations for food and a place to stay...The next time we are in southern Utah and need a hand with our finicky vehicle, will be calling Garrett again!! Good luck fellas et al with the move and wish nothing but the best (ps they do take CCs or venmo as well as cash!)

He worked tirelessly to diagnose our problem, helped find unicorn parts for our vintage rig and fixed a shoddy repair that was "fixed" in Sparks, Nv last December. We spent 12 days at his shop and he was very accommodating and very reasonable in his pricing. We will be forever grateful that he was able to get us back on the road to our next destination! My husband and I highly recommend his services if you need a good, honest mechanic that will do what it takes to get the job done for you!

We had a breakdown on I 70 heading towards Colorado this week. Driving 10 miles an hour on the…read moreside of the road for about 15 miles doesn't get you very far. Our RV did happen to die right in the driveway of Jays diesel service. We were greeted by his son who changed out our fuel filter at my request. Took it for a test drive. Everything seems to be OK. Since it was my filter, he declined to take any money for his labor, but I was able to slip cash in his shirt pocket. We were on our way, but only made it around the corner before it died again. His son was a little surprised to see us only to tell us that his dad wouldnt be back until about three in the afternoon. Needless to say, our anxiety levels were very high. Having a 30,000 pound motorhome towed anywhere it's very expensive. Jay arrived at around 3:30 and immediately went to work on our rv. Keep in mind he was extremely busy and dropped what he was doing to help us. He diagnosed it as being a fuel lift pump, which lucky for us he had in stock. By this time it was getting late and he told us if he couldn't get it done that night that we could plug into his building and spend the night in our RV. This was about 645 on a Friday night when he says take it for a test drive. Went for the test drive, everything was perfect. Got back to pay him. I asked him if he took credit cards and he said no. He said come back in the morning and my receptionist will run your card. In the meantime go across the street to the KOA and I'll see you in the morning. In today's world who does that? I tried to pay him extra and give him some cash, but he refused. His response was I like helping people in trouble. He said, by the way, my son mentioned that you had given him some cash and I appreciate that. Jay did ask for a favor, come back to service your vehicle when you're in town. Kris and I are totally convinced that God orchestrated every part of this event. We could been have stranded along the highway for hours waiting for the right tow truck. Finding a mechanic on a weekend to service a freightliner type RV, almost impossible. Just finding a mechanic that has the time to do it. If your ever in need of a honest mechanic and your in Richfield, Utah, Jay and his son are the people to see. God bless you Jay and your business. That night the temp got to -5 degrees, so in the morning when I attempted to start our ambulance it wouldn't start, only crank and crank. I tried everything I could but was limited to what I could try. I called several shops, even the FORD dealership nearby and no one would help (holiday's). Jay's Diesel was the only one that offered advice on the issue. My diesel fuel had gelled and needed to melt on its own. Jay's offered to tow my ambulance to their temp controlled shop while we the fuel melted. In the end, Jay's sent over his son to see if he can assist on starting our ambulance. He met me in the hotel parking lot with a can of starting fluid that he bought on out of his own pocket and started my ambulance right up. Family and I are forever grateful! It was all it needed, the truck was fine after that and was reliable for the rest of our 2 week vacation. Thank you Jay's!!! My family and I will never forget how kind your shop was to us. Jay's Diesel Service forever!!!
