Went there in a big group, music was good and they had the Celtics game on. The service is very accommodating and fast. The drinks( had mojitos) are great and the food is delicious. No complaints. Stumbled in through the public parking area looking for a quick bite before a show. Place was lively and music loud but not too too loud. People were dancing, mingling, playing pool, having fun. We sat at the bar and were greeted promptly. Food was amazingly good!!! My son was playing hoops down the street - dinner time so I needed a spot. I'm one to try local and try and check Yelp when in uncertain area... everything from the wait staff to kitchen was terrible! I was the only customer (should have set off alarms) . The food was inedible- trust me - my parents made us clean plate growing up so I'm a trained pro at eating subpar food . Another couple came in after me waited 5 minutes to be seated (empty place) gave drink order - waited 5 more and got up and left. My 1st experience with Trio's was excellent. The food was very good... I would 100% get my meal again. I got the Tex-Mex enchiladas, very light and tasty not smother or covered in cheese and sauce. My friend and I went last night and found the atmosphere to be really fun, the decor to be delightful and the service to be excellent. The chips and guac were fine and our margaritas were great. The dinners were less than great -- we both had trio's enchiladas (beef, chicken and cheese). They were dry, the chicken was flavorless and the beef was just okay. There was a salsa crowd coming in while we ate and we enjoyed watching the dancers. Definitely a place I would return to for drinks and chips, but they really need to improve the food. read more

Our party of four stumbled on this gem of a Mex joint before heading into a show at the Lynn auditorium on a cold Friday night. Our waitress and waiter were attentive, friendly and helped us make the right decisions with drinks (Trio's Grande Margarita!) and our entrees: nachos, mole, and shrimp fajitas. ALL of which hit the spot and were very satisfying and flavorful. We didn't feel rushed although the staff were nice enough to deliver the food quickly so we wouldn't miss the show opening, which we didn't! The space is very open and the menu has enough options to make most diners happy. Prices are very reasonable, too. Support local businesses and give this place a try! read more

Here visting some cousins and they were in the mood for some Mexican food but didn't want to go to Boston (they live in lynn) so we decided to come here. Had a party of four that ordered the ceviche and tacos. The food did not taste good at all. When I mean it did not taste good, i mean that the food was not fresh at all. It tasted like it microwaved frozen food. The ceviche was fishy and the only redeeming item they gave us were the drinks (canned sodas) and the chips. This place is definitely overpriced too. Went there with my girl friend for dinner and it was raining inside. That was not a typo it was literally raining on us. We moved tables twice and the leak just seamed to follow us. if you are looking for tacos, don't come here. 14 tacos for 60$? I expect tacos with diced golden tomatoes, but I got cold, with little onion and cilantro tacos with no tomatoes. Went to Trios Tonight before the Alice Cooper Concert. The Salsa tasted like Store bought. It was watery and had huge chunks of Tomato in it which was so large you couldn't get it on the Chip. However, it was short lived...The Waitress knocked it off of the Table. Some of it splashed on me. Also, I had to pay extra for Beans. Most Mexican Restaurant's give you Rice AND Beans with a Meal, not this one. We also ordered the "Table Side" Guacamole...it was delivered in a Dish. My Entree, Chicken Enchilada Mole nearly killed me. There were three Bones in it. Last but not least...we asked to take Home the left overs, don't ask me why, the Waitress packaged the remaining Guacamole and Cheese, but not our Entrées! WTF? Stopped in here around 6:30 PM with friends prior to an event at the Lynn Memorial Auditorium on a Saturday night. Decently large place, but few diners (one other 4-top). A couple of pool tables up front being used. Looked like it probably was much busier later at night - they had a dance floor and a full bar. But, we needed to eat and the hostess was happy to seat us. 3 of us started with house margaritas which were pretty good. The menu looked pretty good, too. Sadly, they were out of mole. Our server also forgot to bring our tostones (2 orders!). Not the best Latin food I've ever had, certainly. Quite bland, a bit salty. But, my steak (Churrasco) was good. Nobody complained and they did bring another round of drinks when asked, though this time some of the margaritas had a coconut flavor. I'd look for something better if food is going to be the focus, but it was a fine value and my friends and I were on an adventure. read more

We were going to show at the auditorium and happened on Trios. We were pleasantly suprised! Service was great.. Very attentive and friendly! Marguaritas were delicious and food was too! A short walk from auditorium and definately worth it!! Looks a little scary from outside but once you open the door...great bar and plenty of tables!! read more
