I'm only rating this place 2 stars, but that's maybe because I'm used to seeing the High Street shops.

Located just across the road from the fabulous Xscape, Junction 32 is the more shopping oriented venue out of the two, offering an array of discounted shops, in the form of Christy's, Gap, Gaggie, Whitard's, Nike Factory Outlet, Rockport, LaSenza, Monsoon, Mango and Mexx to name but a few. Once you've walked your feet off following the square layout of the place, there's a Starbucks to indulge in, but as Starbucks' go, this one isn't that brilliant, Thornton's Cafe, Subway, BB's and some others to recoup and gather energy back to the core. But if that doesn't just do it for you, wander over to Xscape as there are plenty of food facilities over there. Massive car park, so if you've climed into your motor vehicle, there's no worry about finding a place to park, and it's free too, nice little bonus. Open until 8 on weekdays, it's been a life saver on occasions where work doesn't permit leaving until 6pm, and everywhere's shut.

OK, so the shops are all designer, the ones everyone loves to look in, sometimes go in to have a look at just how much some people are prepared to pay for t-shirt....but boy the designers have designed a perfect place for designers to come sell their designer bits 'n bobs. little bubbling fountains, coffee and bagel huts for that quick pit stop and belly filler. I sat in here for about an hour, just sipping my cheap filter coffee and commoner's bacon and egg bagel getting a good view of how the other half live. I didn't mind, I was content, in such a place I find it hard to believe anyone could feel otherwise.

In all seriousness, The Victoria Quarter is the opulent home to some of the more high end brands of the Leeds shopping arena, and with it comes certain prestige in being housed here. The little independent stores like the French Revolution and Rose & Co gain a little kudos in being located here, as that is the effect the Victoria Quarter has on a business here. It is really rather easy to get lost in the annals of the walkways, be it through gawping at all the lovely shopping enticements, or be it from the identical high vaulted ceilings and archways criss crossing across one another, identical fountains, and sympathetic shop signage so that it doesn't interfer with the original features and feel of the Victorian decor. Depending on which entrance you take you will find fountains tinkling delicately, or small tables with coffee service, or even a small but assuredly delicious pattisserie. Benches are also dotted around and if you take the time to perch, and knock your head back you'll see the bizarre yet beautiful glass decoration. A worthy attraction all on it's own.

Next one down there is Adams, ELC, O2 Shop, 3 Shop, Vodafone, and a few other shops and on the bottom there is New Look, Primark, Sweet shop, Superdrug and a few other little shops They dont have the best of shops in there but it is handy to go in sometimes if its raining or you need a couple of shops instead of trapsing across the high st to different ends of town to get to the other shops of the same company in the city centre. It is a nice clean spacious shopping centre.

There is a large security team for such a small center who seem to think that they are gods and do nothing other than stand in the enterance flirting with ladies. Primark, ELC, Top shop, New look, 3, O2, la senza, bay, clintons and the gift company are just a few of the shops in here. The center itself is bright and clean, nicely decorated. I did notice they had their christmas decorations up far too long. The enterance from the high street can be very slippy when wet. Having almost fallen on my bum several times I know this from experience.

It's built over Prince's Dock which adds a unique twist to the centre, meaning as you walk along, you can see the river which looks so beautiful in the sunshine, yet the mall is full of either cheap, tacky stores or empty units. There are very few familiar brands in terms of shopping, other than a large Primark store. It does get better for food and drink, with some options including Nando's and Pizza Express and for leisure, there's a Vue cinema. The security staff in the mall didn't seem too friendly and made me feel uncomfortable just for wanting to visit Pizza Express. This place has so much potential, they need to shut the place down for however long it takes to renovate the mall and fill the empty units, as for now this is only going to be a place one would visit if heading to the cinema or a specific brand within the mall, it just seems depressing to walk through. 2*

The shops in the centre are varied and there is a good range of differently priced shops. The atmosphere in the centre is clean and bright and welcoming. I enjoyed visiting this mall. It is not too big so you dont feel overwhelmed at all. It consists mainly of clothes shops and there are several Jewellers too, a great place to shop.

My favourites: A Thornton's, a gigantic Sainsbury's (with every kind of Gü pudding and a huge assortment of chips), several cupcake and cookie stands and a stand selling every conceivable mobile phone case and cover, even one for my Xperia Z! There are also two very large gift / card shops that will probably sell the most obscure card you just couldn't find anywhere else. Try not to go in a mixed gender group, since there's not much for the men to do other than sit around in the café in the middle of the ground floor while the women wander around aimlessly for several hours. Lots and lots of parking, clean facilities.

Several of the smaller units on one of the strips have closed down and construction has just started to turn this space into one large unit taken by Next which will be great as the Next we currently have resembles a broom cupboard!! MK One has closed down and with Adams reportedly in trouble, new businesses could be filling these units. hopefully sooner than later. It has craft stalls around the upper mall during certain times of the year and has a good feeling to the place.

I work pretty close so end up coming here to buy cheap clothes in Peacocks or New Look, or to pick up a DVD from Asda. There's a Costa Coffee where you can have a lunchtime latte, or get a sarnie deal at the Boots. There's a good sized TK Maxx too (I love TK Maxx in spite of its pro-knife tendencies). I'll admit the parking is a nightmare a lot of the time - the layout at the entrance is a bit stoopid, but parking in the city centre's even less appealing to me : )

Crown point is a retail park on the edge of Leeds city centre which continues to just get bigger…read moreand better. So many new stores have been added recently it now boost and impressive 18 stores which include Argos, next, boots, currys, comet and T K Maxx. Its a great alternative to the city centre as Crown Point offers over 800 free parking spaces for its customers. Disabled and mother and baby parking spaces available too.
