She kept communication open, was honest and fair about pricing, and helped me schedule an appointment within just a few days. Even when I needed to reschedule, she graciously moved me to the very next day. When I stopped by a beauty supply store to look for the hair she recommended, the staff showed me some very pricey options. Tisha actually called the store herself to guide them to the correct items so I wouldn't overspend. I even got turned around on my way there, and she allowed me to communicate freely without making me feel rushed. Once I arrived at her shop, we had amazing conversation and enjoyed great music. Her space is cozy and welcoming, and she made sure I was comfortable -- even offering bottled water. I genuinely enjoyed her company and felt like I was talking to a family friend. I have alopecia, and Tisha made me feel beautiful throughout the entire process. I had purchased 1B hair for my sew‑in, and during the installation she thoughtfully added a pop of her own custom color to elevate the overall aesthetic. When I arrived, the stylist told me she didn't have time to do my hair, and instead began explaining her personal situation and didn't want to rush on my hair. While I understand things happen and stuff comes up, it was really frustrating and disappointing to have my time disregarded especially when I had arranged my entire day around this service. One appointment turned into three because she ghosted me every single time. Taking time off work, driving across town, ready to spend a pretty penny, and I showed up to locked doors and a dark salon every single time. The first time, I was understanding. After that, I was just astonished at the lack of respect for my time, the customer's time! In our text exchanges when I would tell her I was there and doors were locked, I never even got an apology of any kind. Just "something came up and I had to leave" or leaving because "the weather is nice" and she was going to go enjoy it. The first time, I called her and she claimed she didn't have my number to let me know in advance... mind you, we had already exchanged multiple text messages about the appointment, so how could she not have my number? Even a search within her messages would have revealed who is coming that day and she could have texted back. Failing to save my number or keeping track of her appointment contacts is just another display of her lack of professionalism, an "extension of herself." I still have those texts! There are many other options nearby, one of which I went to, where the stylists not only do a fantastic job, but make you feel valued and look gorgeous.
