Honestly I have nothing but Amazing things to say about this place and how it is ran. First of all…read moreI had Kassandra and she was AMAZING. She is so sweet and professional and caring and you can tell she truly cares about her clients. I had gotten my hair done years ago from another salon and they bleached and butchered my hair so I was so nervous to come to another salon to get it done. But Kassandra took the time to listen and my hair is BEAUTIFUL! She is an expert on hair cuts as well, I went from long hair with no volume or definition to beautiful long layers with bangs that frame my face, I got a balayage done and now that I have lived here for 5 years I think I have found my new salon. Also a big shoutout to the owners as well, Roger was super professional and you can tell very proud of his studio he runs it well, he checks on every single client that comes in to make sure all the stylist are doing PERFECT work. I seriously cannot say how amazing this place was the two times I have come. Thank you Kassandra and Roger for making me feel beautiful:) you guys are doing amazing and I hope your company flourishes . If you are feeling iffy about this place, don't, because they are amazing .

I normally don't write reviews, but my experience at Studio 27 on April 27th was extremely…read moredisappointing and needs to be shared. I went in for a partial balayage and clearly explained that I wanted the TOP of my hair highlighted. I even showed multiple reference photos to make sure there was no confusion. Instead, the stylist focused on the bottom of my hair and gave me very minimal "baby highlights," which was not what I asked for at all. On top of that, I specifically requested that my gray hair be covered, yet I left the salon with a visible patch of gray still in the back of my head. I was also quoted $50 for a haircut beforehand, but was later told it would be $70--and the haircut itself was barely noticeable despite me asking for layers. What made the experience even worse was being asked to pay the full amount BEFORE the service was completed. This made me feel uncomfortable and pressured, especially when it came to tipping, since I hadn't even seen the final result yet. In total, I paid $360 ($50 deposit + $270 service + additional charges), and I left feeling completely dissatisfied. I couldn't even sleep that night because I felt like I had been taken advantage of. I immediately expressed my concerns to the stylist and asked about a partial refund. I was told the owner would contact me on Tuesday--but he never did. I had to follow up myself. When I finally spoke to him, he was dismissive, defensive, and aggressive. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, he stated he would review audio and video recordings of my conversation with the stylist--which was also concerning, as customers are not made aware that their conversations may be recorded. He then told me he would "challenge" my dispute and abruptly hung up. This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Between the poor results, lack of transparency, pricing inconsistencies, and unprofessional handling of my complaint, I would strongly advise others to think twice before going here. This place deserves no stars!

What made matters worse is that they do not accept walk-ins, which would be fine if they were actually responsive. I called three separate times and not a single call was answered. No callback, no communication, nothing. Because I couldn't get through to anyone, I had no choice but to go there in person just to ask about appointment availability--only to be told they don't take walk-ins. The lack of basic customer service and communication is unacceptable. If you expect people to schedule ahead, the least you can do is answer your phone. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend unless you have a lot of time and patience to deal with the hassle.

Definitely not worth the $175 for Hair & Makeup service. Which totally defeated the purpose of paying to get my hair done. I think the only thing that I liked on my makeup was the eyeshadow, the lashes had lifted at one end of both eyes. My stylist was Lili, I don't think I would return or recommend, especially for the money spent and dissatisfaction of the results. Also, I understood that the salon was located downtown and how I would have to pay for parking because of it, however, I had even asked via text message if they recommended a place to park which they were helpful in sending a picture of one and with it showing their side door for me to enter on the weekend. However, when I got up to the salon, they had asked me for my license plate information to cover or waive the parking expense. Unfortunately, this information wasn't relayed to me in advance that they would be covering the parking expense and the parking lot states you have to pay when you park and when I told her I had already paid for it nobody told me anything even when I asked ahead where to park, Lili's response was "oh well next time." It would have been nice to save the $21.56 that I had spent for 2 hours of parking. Again, super appreciative that they even offer this it's just nice that if it is offered that the information is relayed so I could have appreciated/benefited from it as well.

My coworker told me about Seventwenty Collective because my former hair artist moved out of state…read more I sent the collective a DM on Instagram and told them I was looking for someone who worked with curly hair. They pointed me to Whitney Lee, so I booked a consultation. Whitney was so down to earth and sweet, she seemed genuinely excited to work on my hair. She said for what she had planned, it'd be a maintenance cut, so less expensive than the transformation cut. Whitney took excellent care of my curls, doing a dry cut (or carving as they call it) to get the overall rounded shape I'd been wanting. Then, she washed and conditioned my hair, did some wet hair trimming, and taught me how to rope my curls in much thinner ringlets. She also said my hair was fine, which I had NO idea! I always thought that since I had so much hair, and so poofy, it was thick, but nope! My hair is fine! Anyway, Whitney added some more moisture, then diffused my hair, used a hair pick to give it more volume, and tidied up some loose ends. My curls had never looked so good, like they finally reached their fullest potential. I've taken what I've learned from Whitney and began applying it to my hair. For the longest time I hated my curly hair. It was a tangled rat's nest and I always opted to flat iron it. Now, I'm in love with my shiny, bouncy curls. I am happy to be Whitney's new client, she did a phenomenal job.
