Trinity completed repairs on our home in a timely manner and for a great price. I recommend them 100% and will use again in the future.

Re: Trinity Services, Roofing & Restoration in Knox. Almost FIVE months in on what should have been a week's worth of work to replace a wood kitchen ceiling and a porch rail. The leak from a severe storm happened in mid March. Here we are, now about to start August and the job is still incomplete. Whomever organizes the job and crew scheduling is in desperate need of being replaced, we believe that is Dale since he is the one dealt with. Demo began on March 25th. We had very nice pair of sub's show up to remove the ceiling and affected drywall. Once demo was done, "Mike" said that he was picking up the new wood that day and was bringing it to his shop where he could keep it safe from the rainy weather. There is where he would stain it and allow it to dry. He said he'd be back after the wkind. When that never happened and another full WEEK went by with no response or communication by Mike? His boss Dale was contacted. He claimed that Mike just "disappeared" and he was done dealing with subs. He added that he was personally going to pick up the stained wood from Mike's shop and deliver it to our home, himself. Well that never happened either! Again no word and no wood for another few weeks. Had WE not chased them down with numerous texts and phone calls? We still would be waiting. Dale finally responded and with an attitude, claimed they had to buy all the wood because it was never even purchased. He later claimed that Mike allegedly had a stroke and that is why NOBODY from Trinity had been out here for almost a month! They already had 50% of the entire job prepaid so you would think that they'd communicate this and send replacements out right away but nope! They did nothing. Just made excuses at every turn, including finally sending out a new "employee" named, Dennis, who said that they were really shorthanded and still had a lot of new jobs coming in, and were only hiring employees now, no more subs. I commented that Trinity needed to complete the jobs that they already HAD in their pipeline before taking any new work, especially when they were so shorthanded and in our case, had already collected half been paid up front. Dennis agreed and went on to repeatedly assure us that he was told by his boss that he would personally show up every day until the job was 100% done. He said that there would be no more working one or two days then pulling "no call & no shows" for days on end. I told him that this was great news. Well? That "I'll be here every single day!" lasted three days before we found out that he was now being sent to do other jobs and his brother was just hired on to take his place. When Dennis did return he complained about not having enough time each day due to my need to get chemo in Maryville. So I had my medical team rework their schedule and extend each appt for that week to be the last of the day so I could make life easier for Dennis. I also told him that he was welcome to come by at 7am instead of the usual 9:30 and that the added hours should give them full days during my week of chemo. So what did they do? Showed up at 7am, worked a few hours, took their half hour lunch breaks and left before 1:30 each day! So why did I bother to mess with my chemo treatments? It was a waste of time for me. I even allowed them to interrupt my wknds by letting them work on a few Saturdays. On the day when Dennis said he planned to begin painting the next morning? He showed up empty handed. He asked me to write down the color name of the paint because he forgot it and I did. It was over two hours before he finally returned and when the painted areas were dry? We saw that he used a gloss paint and not flat as the entire interior of the house is done in! How does a professional NOT know the difference between gloss and flat surfaces? When shown what a mess it looked like, this "professional" carpenter/painter said that he was never told that it needed to be flat. He was now trying to blame ME. I've seen entire cabins built faster than this company is able to handle and complete a job as simple as a kitchen ceiling and a porch rail. As for these issues? a drop in the bucket as they don't even cover them ALL. As a result? We would give this company negative 5-stars if this site allowed for it. read more

We hired this company after a house fire. We were given an estimate on how much it would be. We were going to do as much as we could ourselves but we were told unless it was up to a certain amount they wouldn't do it. We paid $8,000 to get them started. They tore out walls and ceilings in rooms that didn't even need it. We were told they were going to box all of our stuff up and take it to their warehouse clean it up and bring it back. They threw our stuff in boxes without even wrapping my expensive antique dishes that long to my mother or any of my other china. They threw it in boxes, left the boxes open in the house with pieces of ceiling and other stuff falling into the boxes. They also tore our cabinets out of our kitchen and the wall tile from the walls. I had told them we were going to hey and use the same cabinets and I wanted to save the wall tile because it was expensive when I paid for it and I wanted to put it back up. They broke most of the cabinets and threw the tile away. After they had torn EVERYTHING out of the house, even the rooms that didn't even have smoke damage, they stopped showing up. I tried calling and texting the girl I had been speaking to and calling the business and no response. Finally, after leaving messages the girl texted me back. She informs me they need $8,000 more dollars because they had already used the $8,000 that I had already given them. I don't know what they used it on other than tearing everything out of our house. However, we met her and gave her 8,000 more dollars. We stopped hearing from them again! After repeatedly texting and calling I finally got a text back. She tells me then we are going to have to put all of our stuff somewhere so I can finish. She had told me to begin with they were going to take everything to their warehouse clean it and bring it back. Well she informs me that we had more stuff than they thought. They had already seen the house and the damage and how much stuff we had! The place we were staying did have a basement so we were thinking about taking everything there to put in the basement but we didn't have a truck. Then they informed us they would move are things over there for us, WITH ADDITIONAL CHARGE! Which was way too much! We even threw a lot away that we could still use just to get it out of the way. We talked and she said they could probably put it all in one part of the house while they were working on another part of the house. Well after that, stop showing up or communicating again! So after paying them $8,000 to pretty much just tear was left of our house apart, been paying them an additional $8,000, nothing! They didn't come back to do any more work on the house, I didn't hear from them anymore. They came and got they're dumpster and we didn't have to name again. We didn't have enough left to even hire another company so we ended up having to do what we could do ourselves. We also ended up having to hire an electrician to redo our wiring in a couple of rooms that shouldn't have even needed it! It was two of the rooms that hadn't even had any damage. Apparently, while tearing out the walls and ceiling they had also messed up the wiring behind the walls. We finally got moved back into our house but we are still working on it. It's been a while since we hired this company but I am just now complaining because we had been so busy trying to work on the house I just didn't have time to fool with it. I recently went ahead and started looking to try to find where I could make a complaint so I found this site. We pretty much have spent 16,000 to have not only the damaged parts of our house but the rooms that were not damaged almost completely torn out. Also, the cabinets I still had that they hadn't found away work mostly broken so I couldn't reuse those. Of course they threw my wall tiles away also that was not damaged and only needed to be wiped off. Like I said they were very expensive and I was trying to save them to reuse them. I wish I had never ever had this company! I had never been through a house by before and I didn't know every time. My sister had actually seen their truck with the name and phone number on the side contact with them. I hope we never have to go through anything like this again but if we do I will know what to do. I hope that writing this complaint I can help someone who is going through the same thing that we did, from making a HUGE MISTAKE like we did. We thought since it said right on their truck this is what this company does is repairing fire damage we could hire this company and they would know what to do and take care of everything. In my opinion, this is the most unprofessional, dishonest, worst business I have ever came in contact with. I paid this company $16,000 and ended up with a lot of my expensive things that had no damage either missing or broken and also even more damage than there was to start with and pretty much have to fix it ourselves. read more
