I've been a member of TriNet's Full-Service HR solutions for almost 3 years and absolutely love it! There's many affordable benefit packages to choose from, and I've never had one issue with my payroll or benefits. I have had several questions, when things were a little unclear, but the reps at the call center are highly responsive & will answer any of my silly questions. & the new technology platform is so easy to use, I can look up and do most things from the cell phone app (request time off, submit expense reports, and view my pay stubs & benefits info). Definitely one of the best PEOs I've used & I highly recommend their services! read more

for smaller companies trinet is a blessing. they provide a total HR package which includes payroll and benefits (health, vision & dental), an easy to navigate (but sometimes counter-intuitive and remarkably slow) website, and uber helpful account teams. i only wish trinet offered 401K programs. read more

Our small business had TriNet for over 3 years. The first year was Ok but the last two years were not. The rates for all the benefits increased a lot. And you could never rely on the information you got from them - we were supposedly dealing with experts in each area but some of them didn't know what they were talking about. Employees were given the wrong information regarding their FSA accounts, leave of absences were handled incorrectly, proofs sent for FSA expenses were routinely lost, etc. Basically we didn't want to deal with them and had to turn to our boss for help on many occasions. Meanwhile they deluged us with emails selling services, so most of us sent their emails directly to the junk file. The final straw was our last payroll run - they got the period ending, deposit date, and paycheck dates wrong. read more

TriNet was handling my wife's employer's account, and there was an email chain going back and forth about how they were logging her PTO during her hospitalization. The last email in the chain, which my wife was cc'ed on, was sent from TriNet to her HR department, and informed my wife that she was to be terminated. Yes, my wife lost her job, and was accidentally cc'ed on an email from TriNet to her employer regarding the termination, a week before her company officially let her go. This disclosure was completely inappropriate and negligent. Only an employer has the right to notify an employee of a termination, and TriNet disclosing this information in in violation on confidentiality laws, at the very least. read more

Horrible...10x's more than any other payroll service firm I have ever worked with and I do even more of the work. I have been doing this for 14 yrs and my clients have used Compupay/Benefitmall, ADP and Trinet. Trinet's bill is average of $1200/month. Bill for Compupay for same number of employees is an average of $140/month. Plus Compupay files our quarterly state payroll returns. I have spoken to 3 people at Trinet already and they don't even know what I am talking about so I have to file them myself. So basically we are paying to only have me process payroll myself. They also do not understand concept of customer service and instead prefer to direct you to ask other people rather than do the leg work themselves and get back to you. So what are we paying $1200 a month for? We are moving to Compupay. read more

My previous companies have used TriNet in the past and I thought nothing of it when my current company started using them again.. until I realized that they hadn't taken tax out of my paychecks for 7 pay periods. 7 PAY PERIODS. I will now owe the government $490 this month, all of which is a surprise and none of which has been budgeted for. TriNet accepts that this is their mistake and wishes me luck finding $500 this month to pay this debt. Bad form - worse customer appreciation. Why would I use a service who doesn't care about the welfare of their customers? read more

These guys are horrible and borderline unethical. As the CEO, they showed me a great ROI when I first hired them based largely on their affordable health insurance. Then they raised our rates 30% each of the next three years. So I terminated our relationship with them. My office manager also hated working with them. They outsource all of their services to different parties so you never deal with the same person. You've got a million phone numbers to keep track of. And their parting shot was after we terminated, they didn't let any of our employees know of the expiration date to file your medical or dependent care benefits. So several of our employees lost their benefits. Guess who got to keep them. Nope, not the IRS but Trinet. Avoid these guys like the plague. read more

2years age we began getting solicited by (soi)trinet employee to switch from our present PEO to TriNet-after a year of constant soliciting promising less cost and better service I was convinced to change -, we were told by thier rep that it would be a seamless switch. worst decision I have ever made, the first issue i found out was I had to pay a wire transfer fee instead of eft - which i never had to do, then i found out that Trinet does not make payments for deductions made for employees(ie Med-dental,ira )our previous company did it for us. I never had to do them myself, we lost our dental because the company we had was an inhouse plan that didnt transfer to Trinet and it took almost 4 months to get it resolved, employees wanting direct deposits took up to 5 weeks to get processed - employees were billed at the wrong workmans comp rate and still not corrected- an employee in our office was terminated in nov and notice was sent in end of Nov14 and again emailed to our specialist in Dec .after 2 + months they continued to send private compensation information to a terminated employee who had no right to get the informationand as of today they are still listed in our roster, the final straw was when they couldnt get us checks because of weather (not thier fault) we had to write checks directly to our employees - if the direct deposit was set up when requested for one of our employees as requested for 4 weeks it wouldnt have been an issue, so after having to send all our deductions in ourselves - among other issues and incompetence of Trinet we decided to do payroll inhouse and terminated thier services - now they want $500 per employee to seperate for not giving a 90 day notice -(i mentally could not handle another 90 days of pure unacceptable service read more

They are greedy pigs, who don't care about their customers or employees they serve. They only care about pocketing money. When TriNet was SOI, they cancelled our company's insurance when we needed the health insurance. There cancellation letter stated that we exceeded our premiums. It was awful and I lost my life savings, because I couldn't get health insurance elsewhere, and ended up paying for my own medical bills. Jock B. responses on yelp represent what you can expect. He apologies, but in all the reviews, I don't see him 'fixing' the complaints, rather he makes it worse and explains and explains and explains. And the explanations sound like he cut and pasted from a template. Words don't matter, actions do. I will never use them again. And never, ever, recommend them. Another reviewer said he would give them no stars, too bad we can't give minus stars, because I would rate them 5-. read more

TriNet has been very good to work with as a client and their team within the Human Capital group has been supportive.

Amazing! I call, I get an answer quickly. Working for a small business but having the PEO to find affordable healthcare is great. My family's healthcare is important. When I have a questions TriNet answers and quickly gets me on my way. The people are knowledgeable and friendly. Very impressed! read more

Still can't believe our company switched over. I know for a fact I set up direct deposit, only to find on payday there's no account information for it. When I went to re-input my information Firefox brought up the old routing/account number meaning I submitted it at least once before. So after not having direct deposit information they sent out checks that have yet to arrive. This isn't an isolated incident either as some other co-workers have had the same issues. I get that glitches occur, but one would think a company that relies on computers/internet to service its clients would run a tighter ship with this kind of thing. read more

I have worked for TriNet for almost a year now. What a difference this company is compared to my former employer. TriNet is a great place to work, with great benefits, opportunity to advance and much more. So happy I made the switch. :-) read more

I contacted Trinet for assistance for a flexible spending a claim that was on hold, and the CS representative was extremely helpful. He was resolved my issue on the first call in a friendly and efficient way. It was a very positive experience. read more

My company recently signed up with TriNet. So far, they've been outstanding! Both our employees and our company are saving money on health benefit costs over our previous provider. We were previously using internal sources for benefit and payroll admin and this was getting tough since we're a growing company. TriNet has made the transition reasonably simple and so far they've done a great job administering it all. Their responsivness is great and they really have the transition process down to a science. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend TriNet to anyone in a growing business. read more

I was reading the other reviews and wonder if we're talking about the same company. I obtained health insurance via the affordable healthcare act and couldn't stomach the lack of choice and rising premiums. As others have said, they have good sales people but I've also found the implementation folks to be good to work with. I am not using them for FSA, I am using an HSA, but so far everything has been great. The Aetna insurance is solid and the premiums and choices are great. read more

Kudos to the customer service system(s) and team! Thankfully, did not have to go through 1M IVR prompts; went quickly to be connected with a 'real live; English speaking' representative. The woman I spoke with was pleasant and quickly helped me resolve problems accessing my online account. Typically these events are truly painful, but Trinet's doing something right!! Thank you!! read more

Representative Pam is a Trinet rockstar! I have always received excellent service when I have called Trinet with a benefits question or issue. If the rep doesn't know the answer, they always make sure to find out what is the correct response. Thanks much Trinet for always being willing to assist me. Keep up the good work! read more

I have been using TriNet for several months now, and love it! I can find everything in one place--my paystubs, insurance info, holiday calendar, PTO submission, etc. No more looking through the Employee Handbook to figure out what's covered and what's not. The site layout puts everything I need in front of me with a few clicks. As a manager, I am quickly able to pick the company's health options, approve vacation, set-up employees, and make changes, etc. What a time saver! Highly recommend :D read more

Every time I call TriNet with questions about my benefits, they are always so helpful. Today, Stacey spent a lot of time helping me understand orthodontics and FSA issues - she ROCKS. read more

When you tell a company to take you off of their email/call list and they still contact you twice after that via email and phone. I would not do business with them seeing as they can't follow simple directions. read more

The company that I work for uses Trinet for our payroll and benefits services. My wife lost her job back in January and I was initially impressed that I could add her to my insurance so easily. I was a happy customer because my wife sees the doctor regularly. In May she started working again and had her own insurance again. At the beginning of June when her insurance cards came in I Made the call to get the information I needed to remove her from my insurance. This was a simple 5 page form that I faxed in that very day. I had a Trinet representative confirm reciept of the fax and they assured me by July 1st that my wife would not be on my insurance anymore. It is August 11th now and she is still on my insurance. What is even better is that they will not take her off of my insurance until October 1st because the change request is outside of the 30 day window of a qualifying life status change. Therefore, DUE TO THE INCOMPETENCE AND NEGLIGENCE OF TRINET, I not only have to pay for my wife to have double coverage up until now (from June to August) but, also for another 2 months until open enrollment is over. That is close to 2 grand that Trinet has basically stolen from me. Thus, this message will be posted on their behalf on every social media page and any other review site on the web I can find. read more

I have called TriNet several times on a myriad of issues, and the phone reps have each been every bit of courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I come from a health insurance background, so my benefits questions can be a bit complicated, but TriNet has either been right there with the answer or has found me the answer very quickly. Very impressed with their services over the past year. read more

I have been working with TriNet for over a year and it has a been a great experience for our team. With any PEO relationship to be successful it must be a partnership. While things are never 100% perfect, TriNet has responded to issues timely. Our core services meets our needs and I have hope the "cloud" products will get better. This relationship has allowed us to be more competitive with benefits in the market and our employees have been well served by this partnership. read more

Their employees try, but they are not capable of providing accurate answers. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. You have to constantly call and email them but nothing ever gets done. My coverage ending and i opted to enroll through my job who uses trinet. I've sent over the forms requested several time. I call and speak to someone to make sure everything was done properly and they say yes, then i get a email stating something is not correct. This happen 4 times. Finally the paperwork is correct but now it is November i begin this process since october because i knew my coveage would end soon. They are now trying to charge me almost 300 for benefits from October when i was not active with them and did not receive any services through there medical coverage. 11/9/17 i call trinet and tell them i should not be charged for oct because it is now November, the lady who was not in the benefits department put me on hold so she could speak with someone in the benefits departement (instead of just transfering me to the correct department). She comes back to say that i will need to appeal it in order for the money not to be taken out of my check. They are a total scam. Constant forms to fill out and constantly talking to so call customer service reps who dont know the meaning of customer service. Now my check will be short tomorrow because they will be taking 3 payments out for medical coverage i have yet to receive and i have to begin a so call appeal process. I would give them a negative star if i could read more

I am a new employee at a company that uses TriNet. TriNet has some of the worst customer service reps ("solution center reps") I've had to work with. I've asked one medical benefits question that 5 different customer service reps gave me 5 different answers to. Most of the time they ask you to hold and ask their supervisor so they seem like they all just got hired a month ago. Their website is super-slow as well sometimes taking as long as 2 days for new info to upload. TriNet seems to spend alot of money on ads but nothing on execution of services. read more

I was supposed to get my final paycheck from Trinet two and a half weeks ago.... still having problems with them.

Trinet is an expensive glorified payroll processing company like ADP, Paychex, Ceridian and the like. You can never speak to anyone live in the payroll department, must leave message and they will email you back. I swear my payroll rep is a non-person. They are not pro-active with their clients. We never hear from them, even after complaining about the lousy service we've received since day 1. read more

If you are an active client with no issues they will help you, if not you are not worth their time. I decided to move to Trinet after meeting their CEO at a breakfast hosted by Trinet last year. I was immediately drawn in and impressed with his message and sincerity. I thought, "this is a company I want to work with", but it turned out to be nothing more than extra work and headaches. Postmortem review showed we paid more with Trinet than with our previous payroll provider + health benefits provider due to their exorbitant fees and processing charges. What benefit is worth more work, added expense and unhappy employees, CEO liability? No, I don't think so, so do your research to make sure you are the right candidate for a PEO to start with and then find a good one. Trinet looks to be in pre-IPO roll-up stance, multiple competitor acquisitions, profit and valuation...instead of long term customer centric growth plan. read more
