Bring ur own blood tests I was told. I called back after getting my blood tests to bring in 6 times and 1 return call in which I called back 5 min. later and of course no answer. We tried again...Dr. Vash was lovely and professional on the phone and apologized and offered a discount for my creepy experience.....but unfortunately I just couldn't connect once again with his office. I'm out.

I had had it! I weighed more than my pregnancy weight (132 pounds and climbing) and I had enough…read more I am 5'1" and that's a LOT of weight for my body, and I felt so sluggish and frumpy! My gynecologist had a flyer in his office that said, "medical weight loss program". I read it and thought, "I need help, I can't do this alone," so I decided to make an appointment, telling my scale, "You are going DOWN!" I met with Julie, the director of the program, who was very welcoming, professional and friendly. I also saw Dr. Vash, crying on my first meeting, because this meant so much to me. I weighed in and measured my body fat, which was at 35%! I learned that it is advisable for women to be under 25%. Frankly I didn't even think I could lose weight at my age (69 years old). I realized that I needed to focus on losing body fat and not just the weight. I began the program, taking the supplements they gave me, along with drinking a shake twice a day, a simple meal of chicken or fish with vegetables and not eating after dinner (that in and of itself was a huge deal, because I was like a baby, loving my night feedings while watching TV). What happened surprised me. I became CALM around food! I couldn't believe it. My frantic desire to stuff myself began to subside, and I followed the program seeing results in the first week, which was inspiring. I continued the program for a solid three weeks and then began to hover around 119 pounds at 29% body fat. This program helped me to jump start new eating habits and I am so grateful about that. I have become more aware when I don't drink enough water or exercise, other than the three days a week at the gym, but what is so interesting is that my body is becoming "used" to a new weight, which I'm really happy about. When I go "off", I don't punish myself, and am able to continue without stress. The best thing that has happened is that my eating patterns have changed and I not only eat WAY LESS in general, it has become my new way of being. Thank you, Julie. Just checking in with me has helped me stay on track. For anyone needing help, call Century City Medical Weight Loss.

By including nutrition, fitness, behavior modification, goal-setting, and planning, Dr. Adrienne helped me to achieve not only dramatic and sustained weight loss, but gave me the tools and plan to live my life in a balanced way that set me up for success and not failure. I have previously tried every imaginable weight loss / weight management program including the Atkins Diet, Weight Watchers, Fit For Life, The Mediterranean Diet, the Paleo Diet, etc. you get the picture - all with limited but unsustainable results. And this is not without an extreme amount of knowledge and experience in both fitness and nutrition and a good amount of discipline on my part. The problem was I could never maintain it. The X Factor this time was Dr. Adrienne. She was able to look at my medical history, my patterns of behavior, my attitude, my eating habits, my exercise and training routines and make objective, clinical, real-time adjustments over several months of working with me and monitoring the results. In many ways her approach was scientific, but it was mostly intuitive and human drawing on her years of experience and tailoring it specifically to me. Working with Dr. Adrienne was like having a medical doctor, a nutritionist, strength coach, therapist, life coach, all rolled into one person. In many ways I felt like a world-class athlete getting ready for the Olympics. And this process did not stop once I reached my goals, it continues to evolve and support me in whatever way she thinks it needs to in order to support me. If you want or need a game changer in your life, I would highly recommend you go see Dr. Adrienne.

I have never written a Yelp review before. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and…read morealways thought that bad reviews are written by complain-y whiners. I truly shy away from confrontation and criticism. Once I found a piece of wet paper towel in a salad I was currently eating and I told the waiter it was okay because "Things happen". But this is maybe the worst experience I've ever had with a business doing the thing they're designed to do. Of any business. Ever. I've been going to BHCMG for a couple years now because I needed a general GP to manage my antidepressant prescriptions and birth control when I moved to LA. In that time I've been surprised to find myself assigned to three different doctors and at least two NP's when I'd show up for an appointment to find that my doctor has left the practice. No warning, no heads up, no confirmation that it's okay to book me with a new doctor or a NP. Just me in a room with someone I've never met who doesn't know my history telling me that need to watch my weight and that they aren't sure where my records are but they'll look for them later. Excuse me, but kindly screw right off. If you don't know where my records are don't talk to me about my longterm care. Just sign the form, monkey. In addition, I have had COUNTLESS issues refilling my prescriptions through this office. On a near monthly basis when I go to refill my prescriptions I'm told my the pharmacy that my request has been denied or delayed. Then I have to call the office and speak to someone about why they are denying my prescription. Sometimes it's because there is a rule they never told me about that I need to come in for blood work every 12 months. Sometimes it's because there is a rule they never told me about that I need to come in for a check up every six months. Sometimes, like this morning, it's because YET ANOTHER practitioner has left the group and they tell me I have to come in and see the new doctor in order for them to continue prescribing my my meds, despite me being in the office less than a month ago. Rules are rules and I understand that. But me having to constantly scramble to keep on my medication schedule because they can't be bothered to contact their clientele about changes in policy or staff is unacceptable. Why in God's name it takes them denying a prescription and then me following up to find out that I'm supposed to come in to the office is beyond me. It's gotten to the point where everyone at Walgreens knows about this pattern and is already looking sympathetic when I approach the counter and they have bad news. "I hate my doctor" I say, "they are the literal worst". "We know", they say, "we're sorry". Finally, and this is a small thing, it's super bizarre to me that the only bathroom in the practice is through the Physical Therapy room. So when it's time for a urine sample you have to march through a room of people working out with their trainers to the bathroom, then back out again carrying a tiny tupperware of your own warm pee. Like, I don't know- maybe put in a second bathroom you guys. This seems like a no brainer to me. All of these positive reviews might be for the physical therapy/ chiropractor/ whatever wing of the office, and not the general practitioners. Maybe that wing of the office is super rad. I don't know. But I can tell you that the GP sector is literally the worst at being a GP sector of any GP sector in existence. TL/DR: Find somewhere else if you're looking for a regular doctor. While the staff is polite, this group is disorganized and will complicate your medical care to a degree that borders on ridiculous.

That day, he relieved my pain instantly with one adjustment. Today, he was by no means the closest chiropractor I could have chosen, as I am now living and working in the SFV, but remembering how well he took care of me years ago, I went back, and he was just as skillful as I remember. Everyone in his office was friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and efficient. Not a complaint -- just an informative note: Parking is $18 cash only valet, so be sure to bring cash in case you can't find street parking. I would absolutely return to see Dr. Dan for any of my chiropractic needs, and I recommend him to anyone in need of chiropractic care.
