For the last 3 years, I have spent literally thousands of dollars trying to figure out what has been wrong with me. Chronic digestive distress, bloating, cramping, IBS, fatigue... I could never trust that I would be able to enjoy a meal or a romantic night with my boyfriend. I've had stool samples, blood work, an endoscopy, and 2 colonoscopies! After cutting out the allergens from my diet, I immediately lost 15lbs and was reacquainted with so many aspects of physical comfort I hadn't been able to enjoy in years. Ahhh...... My daughter and I just came down with a cold/flu and did not know of a naturopath doctor in the area that did IV treatments. We found her office and we went in for an IV drip. Great little place tucked in the back near Abbott Kinney. Super clean and welcoming. Dr. Cory was so accommodating and took great care of us. While we were relaxing with the IV, she made both of us a wonderful warm tea, gave us healthy lozenges, put on cozy blankets, put on a wonderful infuser and relaxing music. Dr. Cory is the first doctor I've been to that wanted to know the whole picture, not just quickly treat symptoms. She is thorough, methodical and extremely caring in information gathering and treatment. I started to see her for allergies, ecxema, and nutritional issues, but also spent two weeks in a private detox. Dr Cory has an amazing cleanse that is well thought out and incredibly thorough. I loved the way she blended so many different aspects into her cleanse. She is also very knowledgeable and available to you during that cleanse too . As a working mom of twin boys, I built in a lot of downtime on this cleanse to follow all the procedures, to relax, to do deep breathing and castor oil packs and meditation daily and cook differently, and just slow down in general. I was a little offended to hear her tell me to "think more about slowing down." I mean seriously, try having 4yr old twin boys, and a busy company and slow way down, and then hear that. There is only so much I can do with my responsibilities - kids need support, and I have to work! It felt like she didn't get my situation on that level. I just completed Dr. Cory's Essential Cleanse and I have been really pleased with it all around. While I was on the cleanse, I really enjoyed the 4 conference phone calls/classes we did. Each one about an our, she took the time to guide us through some of the issues we would be targeting that week. She shared her wealth of knowledge with us and invited questions throughout. I learned a lot about nutrition and about the way our bodies process food. Beyond that, I learned some tools to better support my body to be able to handle the load of toxins we have to deal with both via food and other sources, internal and external. She has amazing products available for purchase and is happy to walk you through the process of figuring out what will serve you the best. Mostly, I was really impressed with her information and ability to share it in an accessible way. I sort of wish I could be on this cleanse year round...the tricky wake up call is that I CAN BE, just on my own. But, this cleanse really shifted my perspective and my way of thinking and I am feeling very committed to living this way as much as possible.
