As the restaurant jokingly notes, they have the worse parking situation in Tyler. In reality, it was not the worst, but it is not good. There are just a handful of spots around the restaurant so you have to drive around and find a place. There was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. There was plenty of seating outside and there is an air-conditioned seating area that I did not see until we were already seated. The kid had the chopped brisket sandwich and although she did not like it very much, I tried it and I liked it better than my sliced brisket. The wife had a Texas taco (with brisket) and liked it. I had 1/2 pound of brisket, lean. The price was much lower than in Dallas. I added a side of Mac n' cheese. The brisket had great bark and was super tender. I got the lean that I wanted, but honestly it was a bit dry. Plus, I mistakenly applied the hot and spicy sauce to my brisket and it was so incredibly peppery that it was virtually inedible. I had to scrape it off and apply the regular sauce. I cannot who can tolerate that peppery sauce, it was just way too hot. For reasons we never understand but that always seems to happen, big groups that came after us were served their food before us. I don't get how that always happens. Overall, it was a good experience and if we return II would try some different things on the menu.

The trip here was not as planned as I would normally do. We had come to Tyler for something else, but kept hearing "you gotta check out the zoo". Being from Dallas, i snobbishly thought "how could it be better than what we have in the metroplex?". I am gonna say this zoo earned my respect! I loved the design and the walk through the zoo. I also loved that you could get such great unobstructed views of the animals in the zoo. We had a great time here and would definitely come back!

The owner took us on a tour of all the livestock on the farm. We got to see baby calves nursing and all the beautiful cows. Next we saw the chickens. Our granddaughter got to hold a chicken, Something this city girl had never done! We saw sheep, horses, a peacock and some donkeys as well. Our cabin was clean and very cute. We were really given the V.P. treatment during our stay. Next May we are going back to the farm to pick some berries!

I'll go ahead and get this out of the way: You can't actually pick peaches here, presumably due to legal. But they do have times where berries can be picked, although we didn't do that on our visit. Upon arrival, we were hungry, so we headed to the BBQ window, operated by area BBQ provider Eddie Deen. The sandwiches themselves were quite good, with a special nod to the peach pulled pork sandwich, which was outstanding. A generous portion of distinctly peach infused but not crazy sweet pulled pork was piled atop a fresh soft bun, it was a delight to eat. Unfortunately, the side dishes were very pedestrian and almost seemed like they were prepackaged or from a foodservice provider. But definitely get that sandwich. Moving into the store, there are tons of products available, including the incredible peach pickle slices that were served with the BBQ (great way to market the product), we picked up a package and have been loving them at home. But the best product we tried, hands down, was the peach soft serve, and I mean, it was fantastic. Impossibly smooth, delicious flavor, definitely on the sweet side. If anyone from Ham is listening, though, let me offer a bit of advice. You are seriously missing the boat by not offering a smaller serving of this stuff. GLP-1 and other factors are leading many to try to eat less and keep the treats to a manageable level; offering a "small" that's literally half the size of the current smallest offering, at 2/3 of the price, would help people with their portions and help you guys print money. Seriously, this would be a great addition to the lineup. Bottom line, it's a cool place to take the kids and most of the adults, and if you want to get your peach on, it's the place to go.

Learned about Greenbergs from John T Edge on TrueSouth. It was an add, but he says he'd been…read moregetting these ever since he's a kid and it's a mainstay on his Thanksgiving table. I figured it had to be at least ok if he's giving that kind of testimonial, so we gave it a try this year. Wow, we LOVED it. Incredibly smoky flavor and smell, but not overwhelming. The smokiness stays with you, but in a good way...I keep smelling it on my fingers for hours no matter how much handwashing you do. It arrives as described in a bag and partially frozen and as they say, you don't need to do anything and just serve room temperature. We decided to gently warm the turkey in the oven with residual heat and it was perfect. But I've also eaten it cold on sandwiches which was equally great. I'm going to use the smokey carcass to make a nice turkey soup. Turkey is well seasoned, smokey goodness and it couldn't be simpler. There's also a surprising amount of meat on a relatively small bird, part of it is they don't sell it with the wings, so it's not counted in the weight. Loved it and the family is already debating if we need to cook a turkey ever again!

For me, after experiencing the mega Texas gas station with the giant beaver on it, this place is a doll house in comparison. This is cramped quarters while browsing so many sweets, desserts, and other confectionary goods. I do not have an issue with the smaller accommodations. My frugal meter did not like this place. Many items, including all the drinks in the freezer section, did not have pricing. My frugal meter never likes that. The pricing that I did see for many nostalgia type goods were too high for my liking. They did have samples for you to try peach jams and whatnot. They did give a sample of the peach ice cream. I was looking for fresh peaches to purchase, and that was not an option. The jams, though pricey for my liking, was decent. The peach ice cream didn't really have a true peach flavor to me. I tasted it and was underwhelmed. The flavor was such a low impact to whereas I opted to just buy a slice of a peach pecan pie. The pie was okay, but I've had many with much more flavor and character. I did like the texture and thickness of my slice. I can say that the service is really good here. It's a really welcoming environment. They had peach wine tastings in the store. You may find this place fascinating from the mixed nuts, jerky, plentiful amounts of sweets, and overall rustic, country charm. Give it a try and let me know what you think. I will not go out of my way to visit this place again, but will not turn away if someone wants to go again.
