Sooooooo storytime…read more.. I've been wanting my ears pierced since I was in middle school. So many of my peers had them and I wanted them as well. Beyond my attempt to "fit in", I always felt it looked cool. Well, having pretty strict, traditional parents, I wasn't allowed to have any piercings or tattoos. After moving out for college, I eventually got the courage to get a tattoo and now I have so many, I've lost count. But I never got the strength to get my ears pierced. I was told that I was too old now to have them. I was also slightly traumatized from my childhood of being yelled at every time I would ask to get my ears pierced. I still would never want judgement from my parents or want them to think different of me, but I finally found the strength. I went into 2023 saying that this was the year that I was finally going to do the things I've been wanting to do for the longest. Prior to my arrival, I planned to go to a location that uses a piercing gun, until I researched that needle piercings are much better for several reasons. It was then that I looked up tattoo shops near me and this location came up. Coincidentally, my wife's friend got pierced here before, so it felt like fate. My Piercing Experience: This shop is cool. I was then greeted by the staff and asked what services I wanted and given consent forms to sign as well as pricing options. For me, one ear lobe is $50. Both ear lobes is $75. I then picked out what earrings I wanted for the piercing ($10/earring). Once called back, my piercer Bryt, was super cool and super friendly. She explained the process and the healing process. She even gave me some breathing tips that would help calm my nerves during the piercing. I know it sounds crazy, but I truly hate needles. Once she cleaned my earlobes, she placed spots on my ear with marker to mark the location of the hole that would go in my ear. Once I confirmed and she took a second look, it was time to go. She did it so fast, I barely event felt them. It felt like a toddler thumping my ears. LOL. Once leaving, she offered the sterilizing solution, which they sell for $15 in store. Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience. If you're considering getting pierced or getting your child pierced, go see Bryt. She's the best!

Saw Maria today to get my nose studs changed out for rings (I've been saying I was going to do this…read morefor years), a helix piercing, & a rook piercing (I had both in the past but took them out well over a decade ago). She was super nice & easy to talk to & asked me how I was doing the whole time even though I'm a natural redhead & we have a bizarre tolerance for pain. I went with basic jewelry to start, but I'm gonna get something more flashy once they heal. It was about $200 with tip for the services & jewelry which is honestly less than I was expecting. The studio was bright & clean. There were 2 tattoo artists there who were also really nice. Will definitely be back to get fancier jewelry & more piercings from Maria.

The selection was overwhelming, but I liked the positive feedback that was given about choices I made, versus what I wanted. The piercing was quick & painless. I appreciate the quality of jewelry and the sanitizing of all the equipment. I will return sooner than later, and I've given all the information to my friends.

My sisters and I scheduled our sister tattoo appointment a month in advance, excited to return as…read morerepeat customers after getting piercings and jewelry from this same shop. Unfortunately, what we experienced was nothing short of disappointing, disrespectful, and unprofessional. We arrived 15 minutes late--not ideal, but there was no phone number provided and the artist, Candi, had previously told us not to email her, leaving no way to communicate. When we walked in, we were greeted by her husband (who we'd never met) with a condescending comment calling us the "late girls." That set the tone for the rest of the visit. Instead of being met with understanding or even a polite discussion, we were dismissed entirely. Candi coldly told us that none of us would be getting tattooed that day, with zero compassion or professionalism--despite one of us traveling from North Carolina just for this appointment. She never even showed us our tattoo designs beforehand, so we had no opportunity to review or approve them. To make things worse, when we emailed afterward to express concern, the only response we got was pointing out that our message came in at 11:59am for a 12pm appointment--as if that excused the lack of courtesy or basic customer service. There was no apology, no acknowledgment, and no attempt to make things right. It's worth noting: we were sent three different confirmation emails with two different appointment times, and we were made aware of other clients scheduled immediately after us--which is entirely unprofessional and not our fault. If you overbook yourself, don't take it out on your loyal customers. We came in excited for a meaningful experience--a sister tattoo that symbolized our bond--but we left feeling belittled and unwelcome. The entire atmosphere lacked warmth, gratitude, and respect for clients who have supported this business before. If you value kindness, communication, and professionalism, this is not the shop for you. The experience was a clear reminder that skill alone doesn't make a great artist--attitude and respect do.
