I was in town for work and stopped in for a quick bite. I had an ordered some boneless buffalo wings and a side Cesar salad which came with garlic toast. The service was quick and friendly. The chicken nuggets were crisp and the sauce was tasty and not too spicy. The salad had lots of dressing on, which I like and was fresh as well. There were several table occupied but it was not noisy by any means the ambience was just right for a quiet dinner. I will certainly come back when some co-workers and order some pizza to share. read more

Don't bother coming here for breakfast. It's fairly cheap, and that's why they get two stars instead of one. Tasteless coffee, deep fried bacon, eggs over or under cooked. We were the only ones here when we ordered, so it's not like the cook was rushed. Plus, they overcharged us. Not a lot, but it was a different price than was on the menu. In addition, we tried ordering a fried egg white for our autistic son. They were unable to do that. What kind of breakfast cook can't separate the yolk from the white on a slow morning? I'd pay more for quality food, thanks very much. Edit: when I asked why the price was different on the menu (and on the posted sign) I was told "Those are really old menus." read more

I am often voracious when I call this place. While the quality of the food preparation and cooking is good, it's not fine dining. LOL On the upside, the portions are huge for what you pay for, and the everything is made to order. No compromise on quality in the ingredients. i was in Regina for a work conference and was staying across the street from Trifon's. A colleague suggested i go there for breakfast - he stumbled upon it accidentally so i decided to take my meeting there the next morning. i ordered eggs over easy, with bacon, rye toast and potatoes. the waitress let me know that the bacon was deep fried, was that okay? having never had deep fried bacon before i don't think i would have noticed the difference if she hadn't told me. everything was cooked perfectly and i loved the toast - sourdough - I think they make it inhouse. great home style breakfast options. and the best part? coffee included, i think it was $5.99 a person! read more

There is something ridiculously delicious about the pizza crust at Trifon's. Maybe its the type of yeast or dough, maybe it's even the water in Regina but I fell in love with this pie at this location. The crust is soft and it flakes (buttery!?!) rather than oily and feeling like its been fried in the oven. It is vastly different than anything I have experienced in Vancouver, BC and why I suspect its the dough and/or water. If I lived in Regina I would investigate further but I am alas a traveler who only had the time to share two different 8" pies. We tried the Hawaiian (Ham and Pineapple) and the Perogie (sour cream base, bacon, potato, green onion) and both were epic. The pig related ingredients were top of the line, they clearly understand that quality cuts are the way to go. The cheese blend (mozzarella and cheddar) was tasty but could have been applied with a more liberal dosage. The Perogie pizza was the better of the two which is strange for me because I am a red sauce lover through and through. The service at the restaurant was fast and courteous, the decor was nothing fancy and was clean. I guess a Saskatchewan Roughriders game had just let out, so the place was filling up with green jerseys (no watermelon helmets though) pretty quick as we were eating. I'll be back here for sure next time I'm in Regina, I heard a rumor that the All Dressed pizza with sour cream added to the red sauce is the a top notch hack. read more

The pizza is good. The service not so much. Made an order to go sat and waited for it. Guy behind me ordered a few minutes later. Table of two came in and ordered 10 minutes after I did. They both got their orders before I did. Waitress I ordered from didn't check to see if my order was done had to ask the other server who promptly retrieved my order and apologized since I was rightfully ticked off when I saw the table for two's pizza get served to them. I really like this place, although I find its a total hit or miss every time. My usual is the 8" perogie pizza, and a starter (huge) Greek salad ($21.50)This is pretty consistent, but breakfast. . . Sometimes the chef is "to busy" to make your omlette with just egg whites!? Sometimes the toast is perfect, sometimes burnt. It all depends on the day. It's not the cheapest but not much in Regina is. It's not fancy, but it doesn't pretend to be, regulars are welcomed with friendly smiles and although the sign says "please wait to be seated" odds are the waitress will tell you to pick your favourite. I'll eat here again, as long as I'm feeling lucky ;) read more

I decided to stop in because I arrived across the st a hour before the building I needed opened and wanted breakfast. The waitress was nice and polite, she seated me right away. The food came out fast (maybe a little too fast?) And it was good for the most part ( I'm still finishing my cinnamon bun). The eggs seemed like they needed 30 more seconds on the flat top, the bacon was a little flavorless and the cinnamon bun is almost drenched in butter but the hashbrowns are AMAZING! read more

Tonight we had a great first waiter making jokes and checking in soon as we needed something. After he delivered the subpar food, he regretfully informed us that his shift would be ending and another member would take care of us. After finishing the food without a check in from other staff, we had our jackets on waiting to ask for a box and the check. the only one that can be seen was a female sitting down talking to her family most of the time, Seemed to be ignoring us, finally I got up and went to the front where she was on the phone while completely ignoring me. another member from the back came up front and asked what I needed while being super friendly. We finally got the box and the check and left. When we called, the girl was whispering under her breath rude comments and when my wife said she could hear her, she informed my wife she was "well aware that she would be able to hear".
