Instead, they put a large filling over the tooth - no crown was ever placed. Fast forward to 2024, the tooth started to hurt. I sought second and third opinions at two completely separate dental offices (neither of which had access to my dental history), and both dentists immediately pointed out that the tooth never had a crown--just a temporary-looking filling that's now breaking down. With insurance, I paid $1,600 for the root canal and another $200 for the crown - a crown that was never actually placed. I've tried calling Mira Loma Smiles multiple times to request my dental records, and not only have they failed to respond, but they have also not provided any of the records I asked for. The pricing here is extremely high, and more importantly, I was charged for a procedure they didn't even complete. It's unacceptable to have to go through the pain and cost of correcting their work elsewhere, especially after trusting them with something as serious as a root canal. I cannot recommend this office and strongly advise others to double-check your treatment and records if you choose to go here.

I also work two jobs, from 7:30am-9pm Monday through Friday, which already makes it very difficult to fit in appointments. I do my best to come in whenever your office has availability. Unfortunately, in this case I felt like I wasn't really being heard, or maybe I didn't ask clearly enough if it was possible to accommodate my situation--since it isn't easy for me to get days off, and I was also going to be out of town on vacation. If I hadn't been away, this wouldn't have been as big of a problem, but with this trip planned months in advance it made things especially hard to reschedule. That said, I truly appreciate Dr. Tanna's knowledge, skill, and care throughout my treatment so far. Although no doctors were available that evening, Elena immediately helped put my mind at ease and scheduled me as their very first appointment the next morning at 7:30 AM. When I arrived, I was seen within five minutes of walking through the door. To me, that says a lot about how well this office is run. What really makes them stand out, though, isn't just one person--it's the entire team. From Elena and the front desk to Dr. Lee and Liz in the treatment room, everyone I've dealt with has been exceptional. Of course, I have a few favorites now, but this review isn't about one standout employee. It's about a group of people who clearly communicate, work together, and genuinely care about the experience they provide their patients. I'm also impressed with the technology they use. They take the time to figure out exactly what is going on and recommend treatment intended to provide a lasting solution instead of just a quick fix. Unfortunately, a quick fix from the past is part of what eventually led to this molar breaking in the first place, so I especially appreciate that approach. And then there's the cost. My entire visit ended up costing about 70% less than what I was accustomed to paying at my previous dentist. In my personal experience, the team as a whole deserves the praise. It's the way everyone works together--from the moment you walk in until the treatment is finished--that makes the difference. They took care of me when I really needed it, and that's ultimately why I wanted to take the time to write this review.

When I reviewed what they tried to bill, it included many things to try to make extra money on whatever they can including "hygiene education" which I did not receive or may be it is the part where they tell me to floss? When i called back to request invoice for the treatment they provided they didn't answer. Because I told them I hadn't been to dentist for a few years they tried to do as much as they could to charge the max, ct scan, panoramic scan, photographic scan? A bunch of things and radiation exposure that I really didn't need, I have no cavities! Make sure you get a printed out invoice of what you get done on the day of, and how much you are being charged incase you need to claim your insurance, however because they try to overcharge you and do unnecessary things racking up your total, insurance might not be able to get you back that deductible even tho there isn't supposed to be one . I would skip this place because you can't trust what they are suggesting you to get done, their mind is set on $$$$ not what you need
