She required payment BEFORE services, hmmm, but ok. The woman who greeted me at the door was my masseuse, she said she would do the first half of my massage. I didn't see a problem with that considering I was a walk in. The room wasn't fancy, but clean. It was quite chilly in the room, the table was cold, and I was provided a thin flat twin sheet to cover up with. Again, this wasn't a problem, more uncomfortable than anything. The massage I was given felt more like rubbing sunscreen on my back. She RUBBED the middle of my back with NO pressure as she sat on the side of the table I was lying on for 85% of my time. She moved swiftly through the various parts of my body, with no focus. Although, I specifically listed my lower back as an area of concentration. I didn't say anything thinking she was still filling in for whomever was to take her place. Also, she walked out of the room 3 times to speak with others in hallway - I didn't appreciate that, b/c she didn't inform or ask me if that was ok. Before I knew it, she started "slapping" on my legs - like the nail salon after a pedicure and said "all done". I'm quite sure I didn't get 60 mins (to include 5 to undress & 5 get dressed). Felt more like a 30-40 mins process, but I didn't look at my start time. Shame on me! As I was leaving, she beckoned for me to come to the desk and she pointed at the receipt for her TIP! I was so aggravated at this point, I gave her one, but didn't want to. I will NEVER return to this place!

Very nice friendly staff. Clean spa. Beautiful lady's. Great massage, wish I would have gotten the…read more90 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Will be back very soon.

Massage therapy has been part of my personal wellness plan for 10 years and Indigo has been my "go…read moreto" for the last 2 1/2 years and I can not say enough good things about this locally-owned business. Starting with its owner Ann Childers who has brought together a staff of skilled and empathic people whose single focus is the wellness of their customers. Best of all when u book a 60 or 90 minute massage u get one! I've had massages with five different therapists due to my erratic schedule and each time I left renewed....hence my use of the word "empathic" above as my past experience when switching to a new therapist provided so-so results until they got to know me. That has not been my experience at Indigo. They also offer yoga classes and skin care treatment. I've had one acupuncture session (my first ever) and I'm planning my next session now. My only other comment here is about Peter, the acupuncturist. He's demeanor is calming and he presents an intelligence that instills trust. Something I needed as I prepared to have thin needles stuck in my face, hands, legs and feet. As I laid with my eyes closed I thought there was a delay to begin until he told me he was finished applying all the needles and to just relax. Yes, I felt nothing. It was a unique moment and created a very relaxing state. And now to make Indigo even more convenient they have opened a second location in Maplewood to complement their Benton Park location. Each have a unique vibe but both provide a great experience. And to put sprinkles on convenient they utilize an app called MINDBODY that allows u to schedule your massage in :30 seconds. They have competitive rates and a Wellness plan that makes it even more affordable. My only problem is not coming here sooner.

To me with yelp offer this is one of the best affordable messages in Saint Louis. Downside is you need to book way in advance, I don't know if it's a staffing issue or because they really are great. Gave me the rejuvenation I needed. Bought gift certificate for wife.

In May 2021, I had hours remaining on a program with MassageLuxe when I decided to cancel my…read moremembership. I was informed that the only way I could not lose on the hours was to move to a "HydroLuxe" plan. I was not able to cancel my membership without losing the hours I had already paid for. When moving to this plan, it set up a recurring monthly charge. It was $20/month until early 2025, then went up to $30/month. The problem is, I didn't know I was paying for it. No emails, no calls, no reminders of the benefits at any time, and no communication about an increase in the price. I only learned of these continued payments when my credit card expired, and their system called and texted multiple times because they couldn't collect payment. I called to cancel and request a refund and was told I couldn't cancel until my account was up to date. So pay another $30 for a service I didn't know I had and have never used? Absolutely not. This is a scam business practice and absolutely unethical in multiple ways. If someone pays for a membership that allows them to accrue hours, it should be allowed to be paused at anytime with no further accumulation. Hours shouldn't be lost, or should have a time limit to be used. If there is a membership and the system is able to recognize that it's not getting paid, it should also recognize that it's not getting used. Reminders to come in, details about changes or price increases, etc. The only resolution will be a full refund of the funds I unknowingly paid for the last 5 years.
