My wife and myself moved here from Phoenix AZ, and were used to her being seen in a lot higher tech offices, but these 3 people make this the best office we have used. They make you feel like they are family, and there to be a part of the family during the pregnancy. I will say that we used other people in the office with far less stellar results so I can understand possible negative reviews, but avoid the bad experience by asking to be seen by these ladies, and I am confident your experience will be completely positive. Some people do their job strictly for the paycheck and believe me when I say it shows, but these ladies do their work from the heart. As long as you use these staff members, I HIGHLY recommend this business.

The office is located off Market Street in downtown Smithfield near the courthouse. The office staff inside was so friendly and nice, and the nurses were professional and caring. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the atmosphere is pleasant. I love my doctor too, overall it was a very good experience for what it was! :-)

We were called back in less than 5 minutes. The nurse who took us to the exam room was so kind and thorough. She really set the stage to relax my daughter. The PA entered and spoke to my daughter, knowing she was very nervous. She was to the point, she made sure my daughter was okay to proceed, and she was so generous to tell my daughter how well she did. We both loved Gina Menia! Upon check out, our experience continued to be so positive. Shannon checked us out and she was wonderful. I wish I could recall the name of who took us back to the exam room. She checked on how the visit went and talked to her for a few minutes. Never have I dreamed of such a positive visit for a teen for a sensitive type of visit. I highly recommend this team. Thank you for leaving such an amazing impression on me and my daughter!

I felt like I was bothering them or inconveniencing by asking any questions. Even when I did ask questions the answers were very vague. I felt like I was just going through a fast food drive through the way the rushed me and rushed me out every time. The final straw was when I had an appointment at 11 and I called because there had been a car accident that caused some traffic so I was running about 10 minutes late. I called up there and spoke to one of the ladies at the front desk and she told me that they would still see me as long I was in the 15 minute window. When I get there to check in the lady with short blonde hair told me they couldn't see me. Even after she went to the back office and asked if they could still see me and I heard one of the ladies say yes I told her we could still see her. I had an ultrasound at 11 and a routine check up at the 11:30 and they wouldn't see me for either. I do not recommend this place to anyone considering. They need to do better.

At 4cm dilated and excruciating contractions my wife was asked to sit down and answer some questions before someone pointed out that she needed to be put in a room asap. Delivery went good, and we felt it was smooth sailing from there but that was not the case. She started experience nausea, severe pain, and swelling of her limbs as soon as 12 hours after delivery. Her heart rate hovered around 120-130 for 2 days and even got up to the 150's at one point but we were told it was just hormones and that it was nothing to worry about. We new something was wrong and none of the doctors knew a thing so our main goal was to just get discharged and go from there. As we were leaving the nurse Carlene was sent with us to check our car seat, i had no idea how to fasten the base to my sons car seat so I asked her for help, to which she responded "I don't know how to do it" and sent us on our way. We get home and not even a day later my wife could hardly walk, and was swelling all over. Eventually we called EMS and we were brought to wake med. we have currently been in Wake Med for a week due to TSS, which as many know is a life threatening infection that travels through your blood stream. Not only did she have a infection right after delivery but her stitches were loose and came apart. Our 1 week and 2 day old child has only been bottle fed by his mother 2 times and she has yet to change a diaper or give him a outfit. Any mother could only imagine how hard that could be on a first time mom. I am extremely upset and would highly advice that nobody use this as a place to deliver your baby, it is not worth the risk.

No one stopped him just sat and watched him do as he pleased. My daughter was in an accident rear ended and she's had two brain surgeries prior to this accident and she hit her head but he takes priorities because he works here??? Guess that's the only way to be seen here, is if you work here otherwise you'll wait until they decide to see you

Even though they were running 30mins late, you can tell the staff felt terrible and tried everything in their power to speed up the process. They definitely made you feel appreciated which is something you don't find often unfortuantely. Once I got into the room, I was out in 10-15mins. Scarlet (RN gynecologist) was respectful and not once did i feel uncomfortable. Tip: Fill out your past medical history and other forms online, it makes the process a lot faster. The portal also updates you on your visit and lab/test results.

The facility is sterile without feeling it--the exam rooms are stylish and cozy with pretty sinks, cabinets, and chairs, and the art on the walls is actually really nice. I see Dr. Lukes who is totally awesome. When she explains things, I don't feel like she dumbs them down or gets too scholarly (and she doesn't know I have a background in reproductive health/have a healthy level of interest in my lady parts). Being in those stirrups is never fun, but at least Dr. Lukes and the Women's Wellness Clinic make it much more comfortable than any other practice I've been to.
