Let's start with our two spoiled princesses, Mimi and Dora, one inside and one outside that we dote-on daily. As we had planned to fly out of town, their care was a huge stress-point for us, and we researched a service for weeks. Add to that is the home-security factor as well. Having Kate's team being so experienced, and secured, we've found that not only peace-of-mind, but an invaluable part of our support system for our kitty-girls. However, even more than that, is the incredible and amazing care and attention to detail they brought to the service, and... AND... connected us with Michelle who unbelieveably bonded instantly with our ultra spoiled indoor kitty Mimi (who warms up to noone). Not only did Mimi bond with her, she loved Michelle's coming over! We have the camera footage, plus Michelle's awesome daily photo's and video's too! It's almost impossible to convey our appreciation and happy stun-factor, but EPIC is probably the best word! 5 Platinum Stars Incredible!!!!!

So for at least 10 years, perhaps more, we've limited our vacation travel to the eastern U.S. so he could travel with us by car. But this trip was to the western U.S. for two weeks, and flying with him was just not an option. We checked the internet and decided to call Dee Dee based on the good reviews we found there and because she's based near us in Durham. Dee Dee returned our call right away and set up an appointment with two of her sitters at our home so they could all meet our two cats and learn about them and their needs. I explained how the two cats would need to live in two separate parts of the house while we were away (due to significant age differences they don't get along that well). So it was a little complicated but Dee Dee assured me it would be no problem. She explained their services thoroughly and reviewed various documents (just a few) that I needed to sign to lock in the dates, then I gave her the keys and a deposit and we were all set. We still worried about leaving our older cat, but we needn't have. The first couple of days he did hide from the sitters under our bed, but soon after that he warmed up to the four different sitters (including Dee Dee) who cared for him and our younger cat. The younger--and much spunkier / former feral--cat was totally fine with them from the beginning. (He worked throughout their time with him on convincing them that he was allowed outside while we were away...NOT!) It gave us such peace of mind to know our two little guys were well cared for in our absence by people who really love animals. And a huge side benefit was that someone was in and out of our home every day, so it looked occupied (we also had multiple lamps set on timers). We had not considered this security side benefit when we hired Dee Dee and team, but really appreciated it in the end. When we returned home both cats were happy and in great shape. The weekend after returning from our two-week vacation, we again used Dee Dee's service for a four-day long weekend trip out of state for a family funeral. This time we took the older cat with us (so he could have a break from the younger cat!) and Dee Dee's sitters took care of the younger cat, again with great results and the wonderful daily text updates. We are so happy to have found Dee Dee's service and highly recommend her and her sitters. We feel it's a great value and will definitely use them again.

This was a great surprise, so we took all of our pets to the vet, and he confirmed that our pets didn't have any fleas. The problem is that she made a REALLY big deal about the fleas and said that her employees wouldn't sit for us because of the fleas. She lectured us about hard it was to get rid of fleas and that we had to bomb and do follow-up treatment. She was really weird. She first said that one of her employees found 3 fleas on him during the interview. After that, when she came back, she said she was picking fleas off of the other employee and that he told her that he wouldn't pet sit for us. She was awful and oh so strange and the message was that we were lucky to have her team as pet sitters, as though we were the lucky ones to have her, not that we were valued as a customer. Keep in mind that I worked many years as a pet sitter and never would have treated a potential customer the way this very strange team treated us. There are so many pet sitters that are great. Keep looking, please. Thank goodness, our pets don't have fleas, confirmed by our vet. That said, how annoying because she didn't like my partner she made up ugly stories, I guess assuming that we wouldn't check. Very, very weird people, and we're very glad we didn't allow them in our home with our pets when we weren't home.

If you truly care for your pet, please do not take your pet here, specifically a dog/pup…read more Yesterday was supposed to be a playful, fun time for my 7 month old, 50lb Bully, Moosey. Upon drop off I was informed that the staff will be doing an assessment of Mossey mannerisms, and her behavior and place her according. I was completely okay with this because Moosey is a very well behaved, loves other dogs, kids, people kind of pup. They gave me access to the live camera footage so that I could check in on her if I'd like. At around 9ish I decided to log into the camera feed, and I saw that Moosey was in with the bigger group of dogs which I was fine with because she normally plays with bigger dogs with no issue. Moosey was running and playing and trying to figure out what all was going on, new smells, new noises, new environment. A few minutes later I checked back on the camera and to my surprise I noticed a brown and white, much bigger dog mounting Moosey (she is a spayed girl). This other dog had about 100 pounds over Moosey. To my surprise, no staff was near to redirect and correct the other dog from mounting. Moosey was not happy, she was scared. Her tail was tucked and she was very uncomfortable. This happened at least 4 more times with no staff correction. I called my wife and told her what was going on and as she was watching the camera feed at that time and she noticed three large black labs circling Moosey each one of them eventually mounting her. I told my wife I was going to pick Moosey up at that point. Upon me getting ready my wife sent me a picture where a staff member is sitting in a chair outside with 40+ dogs and watching my pup who is 7 months old get chased down, circled and mounted again by the lab dogs. Once again, no redirection, no separating the labs and brown/white dog from her, NOTHING! She sat in the chair and watched my little girl get terrorized! I was furious! Upon walking in to pick Moosey up I asked to speak to a manager/owner, and a lady finally pops out beside the office behind the desk. I told her what I had witnessed and how unpleased I was with the staff. I expressed to her that circling and not correcting mounting was how fights started. She then said, "we haven't had a fight in 30 years." I told her that no ma'am that's exactly how fights start, especially when circled by THREE dogs! Then she explained that "they were training new staff members." Um, excuse me?! That makes your case worse. Because if you are training new staff members to WATCH DOGS, why do you not have a senior staff member out there with them?! Your staff member on several occasions watched my dog get harassed, bullied and mounted. But in her "report card" your staff member wrote and I quote, "She could use a bit of work on recall and learning to regulate the intensity of her play." My question is this, if a pup's play is supposedly "intense" how is she getting mounted over 9 times, in just the times I was actually watching the camera? The false narrative that you wrote in the report card doesn't align with what happened and was allowed to happen yesterday to my sweet girl with no redirection from your staff, no separation of other dogs from my dog from your staff. The only thing I did witness from your staff was them eating Cheez Its in "Inside area 2" with dogs present (which could cause a food aggression fight between dogs), I witnessed them push the dogs away from around them while they stared at their phones, I watched them sit in chairs and do their hair and text. What I and my wife witnessed yesterday on live streams and what our sweet Moosey had happen is totally unacceptable! No apology, no accountability whatsoever. Just excuses and defection. I was even told, "Well you should've called and told us she was getting mounted, then we would have fixed it." So, I have to pay you to allow my dog to be in daycare, but I also have to be your supervisor and watch a live feed all day long to make sure my pup is okay--but still pay you?? So, if you are in the market for a daycare and truly love your pup-I beg you to find someplace else. This is not the place, unless you are okay with this behavior. Safety isn't a luxury; it's the bare minimum that should be required!!

Absolutely Do Not Recommend - Lack of Communication and Poor Judgment…read more I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Go Dog off Miami Blvd leaves me no choice. In early spring, my 9-month-old puppy contracted Bordetella and a respiratory infection during his very first week of doggie day camp at Go Dog. While I chalked that up to bad luck and appreciated that illnesses can circulate in group dog settings, I was hopeful things would improve. He recovered fully, and we returned--until July, when things took a serious turn for the worse. I boarded my dog for 7 nights while I was out of the country. Despite the fact that he had fully recovered six weeks prior and I had gone out of my way to provide a formal clearance note from my vet, management decided--without my knowledge or consent--to isolate him from the other dogs. They made this decision unilaterally, completely dismissing my communication and the official veterinary documentation I provided. Not only did this show an alarming lack of communication and transparency, but it was also an incredibly poor judgment call that affected my dog's experience and well-being during his stay. There was zero accountability, no meaningful discussion, and no respect for the time I took to address their concerns proactively. Go Dog made a terrible decision, and I no longer trust them with my pet's care. I will never bring him back, and I urge other dog owners to think twice before entrusting their pets to this facility.
