Triangle Park is named for it's triangular shape. The park does not have a dedicated lot, you park on the surrounding streets. The park sits along Okeechobee Road. It dates back to the 1920's when people would meet in the park to buy Hialeah real estate during Florida's land boom years.
I was eating dinner at the Crackers Casual Dining across the canal when I noticed the incredible light display set up at Triangle Park. I came over after dinner and was impressed with Hialeah's holiday spirit. The city uses over 20,000 lights to deck out trees, buildings, and holiday figures transforming the park into a winter wonderland.
Besides the seasonal holiday display, Triangle Park also contains Hialeah's Veterans Memorial and an art piece called El Precio de La Libertad (The Cost of Liberty). This is a nice little historic spot in the heart of old Hialeah. read more
