I called in about an application and got snapped at and hung up on by one of their main workers, it was super unprofessional & uncalled for.

Over the passed two nights I've been watching a movie on Netflix (or Amazon, can't remember) called…read moreYellow Bird. The setting is mostly a small town supermarket with the general surly employees who don't want to be there but it's probably an area where nothing else is available. That's the general feeling I'm getting from this place. I needed some water to drink and wash my hands, since the location I have been working during the recent weeks has only a stagnant riverside that's too steep to safely access, and drinking it is out of the question. I have soda, so really I need it to rinse off at the end of the day mostly. Today I spilled Mountain Dew and I was too sticky to cope with, a bit OCD. So I drive 6-7miles to get a case or something to have around. After finding a quite decent grocery store I was rather pleased, not wanting to buy anything from a C Store if possible. I find my water and que up in the line and as I'm paying I am met with precisely the same type of shitty attitude from the young lady running the register. She has a terrible attitude and her sour vibes are not able to be restrained to her inner self. It's bursting out from her like radiation around a nuclear reactor. Pleasantries are completely lost on her. I kind of get it. I'd not like to live in such a place especially, but on another level, I think I'd actually enjoy this town. It's a dead town, no industry in the 21st century except the window glass factory that's no doubt the only place that offers sustainable work for the people. A few bars, probably the same number of churches, which don't offer anything tangible except perhaps the lies that hang in the air and coil up the white picket fences of the devout. The store, it's not bad. But the girl has single-handedly made me want to buy water at the BP at the towns edge next time I'm in need.

New owner, old familiar employees gone, greatly diminished stock (still gingerbread cookies though,…read moreglad to say!), higher prices...even before latest inflation. Weekly ad is a lot of highly processed foods, the stuff we're s'posed to avoid.

Had never heard of this grocery chain and decided to try it out…read more They have a liquor store attached and per the hubs, his favorite bourbon was definitely cheaper than another big name liquor store we frequent. Produce section looked fresh and well organized. We don't shop the junk in the middle isles, so no feedback on that part. We just moved back to WI from our TX home and would really appreciate getting a nicer grocery store for Richland Center. Our only choice is terrible. You would do very well here! I would go back and shop there again.

Festival Foods can be a one-stop shop for your groceries, produce, deli and bakery needs! The deli…read moreis well-stocked behind the counter, and in front is customer'accessible deli items, as well as wonderful Wisconsin cheese finds. Upon entering there is always a "deal of the day" on some type of meal, which has saved the day for some dinners. The bakery selection is pretty decent; you'll always find great dinner rolls, Italian breads, quality buns for cookouts, delicious pies and treats. The produce section is well-stocked and the best in towns far as quality. There is always someone enthusiastic in produce willing to help and frequently will offer to let you try fruits that are limited or seasonal and give information about the new additions. Pre-cut fruits and veggies available, as well as trays for gatherings. Something is always on special in produce. There's always someone stocking or behind the meat counter to help, which is great and saves time. It's best to watch for sales on the shelf items because Festival is the pricier one in town for those -that is my only reason for four stars. It's better for us to go to Festival for produce and deli but our receipt adds up fast when we go for our dry goods. Great selection of local ice creams, have to love that in Wisconsin! Decent liquor selection and always someone to help you out with a great attitude. Not a large floral department but there's a modest selection of fresh cut flowers and plants that have lasted me a long time. They added some self checkout in the last year to help with avoiding long lines, which has been a great addition. Both the long-time cashiers and the ones in training are always efficient and friendly. This Festival hires young staff members on their team and do a wonderful job choosing their applicants as they do a great job making conversion and being efficient. Overall it's the freshest store in town with great service! Side notes; lots of parking, they do pretty well on keeping the carts stocked as well. It's convenient that they have umbrellas to use to get to your car if it starts raining and return at the front!

Good: It's the only "grocery store" in our local area (there is a WalMart, who has groceries but…read moreit's not a true dedicated grocery store, for what it's worth. Yeah I know there's good and bad!--but I prefer not to shop there if I can help it...) Working employees re-stocking or check out are amazingly friendly and helpful!! My only true complaint is their Tuesday senior citizen discount (62 years and older). Most, if not all of my trips on a Tuesday fail to give me my full discount. Of note here is anything which is not their regular/full price is not included. Several items, which aren't in their flier are discounted 5-10 cents!! This saves the store overall as it isn't included in the senior citizen 10% discount ! But I had $25 of non sale items. No discount. this time I stayed in the parking lot checking my receipt so I headed right back in. I asked can you show me where my senior citizen discount is on here? she looked and said well all these items are on sale and so there is no discount and I said yes, but the last seven items were not on sale. You can clearly see that and she says yes unfortunately our system doesn't recognize that because of all the other items that were on sale. Then she stopped talking didn't offer me anything so I had to ask her so can you adjust this and give me my 10% then? She side look for a calculator to add things up and eventually give me my 10% discount. So if you know your system has that issue why are you explaining it to a senior citizen but not offering to give them the difference right then and there. I shouldn't have to ask for it. So by beware if you go on a Tuesday, always always always check that receipt and ask for the difference if they don't show you any customer service at all as they did me today. Other times which I had not gotten my discount, it was only a dollar or $1.50 difference and it wasn't worth me driving back into town to ask for it.

The lady that was behind the counter looked me straight in the eye and proceeded to walk away to the back office. I said excuse me, can I get another Pig card ? Within a nano second she replied " Im not on the clock quite yet." When Brianna came to help, I mentioned her employee did not understand the importance of customer service. To which she replied, "I would never have any of MY employees work for free. She then snidely asked me in demeaning tone , "do you work for free ?" Stating she was worried about a lawsuit for asking her help to assist me . The situation quickly fell in to her being rude and offensive , under the guise of political correctness. I went home , thought it over, and returned my purchases for a refund. I am asking all that may be reading this if any are interested in a picket line protest to air our individual displeasure with this store, it's employees, the weekly turn over of employees, and mis-priced, or not priced items at all ? I personally have seen at least 45 employees come and go within the last 4 years. Those few employees I know, are eager to discuss their displeasure with how the store is run, and managed. I will be talking with the Manager Jeff first thing tomorrow A.M. to see if he supports that behavior or not. In any event , I threw my pig card in the trash, and will never again set foot in 'Her" store again. I acn be reached at tonevicar@yahoo.com
