Never examined my rash or felt around my stomach to figure out where exactly the pain was coming from. We did agree to do blood work, but she would not let me know which blood tests she wanted to order and the cost for each. She just wanted me to show up and have blood vials taken--could be 1-5 vials. Who knows! I said this was not acceptable and that I wanted to know what tests were going to be performed and the cost. They said they could only tell that to me the morning of the blood draw. I said, nope...I would like to know ahead of time so I have time to research each test and decide which ones make sense to me. They finally agreed they would call me in a few days with this information. They NEVER did!! They called, but it was to schedule my follow-up appointment for a few months from then. They also ordered some kind of sleep test for me without my approval, which of course I would then have to pay out-of-pocket. I immediately cancelled the sleep test with the company. This is a money-making racket! They clearly don't care about patient care and cost to the patient. I will NEVER return!! Lastly, the front desk people are grumpy and unfriendly, and the place is dirty. Yuck!

The waiting area has a comfy couch and chairs, classical music playing, and dim, relaxing lighting. The front office staff is friendly and welcoming, too--I felt comfortable here immediately. I also really liked that they provide cloth gowns instead of the usual paper ones. I saw Dr. Torsone, and she is a great practitioner. She is incredibly kind, highly thorough, and maintains a patient-centered approach that never feels rushed. Looks like 2 pellets were placed just below the skin. One broke almost immediately and was partly removed by staff. However an open wound persisted and another pellet popped out. The wound tract has not closed and has been open and discharging on my glute for over 5 weeks. I have not been able to exercise and have lost muscle and endurance due to the inactivity. Optimal Bio has done little to rectify the situation. I am still wearing gauze on the wound to catch discharge and hopefully keep it from getting infected. I am quite dissatisfied with the level of care and may just go to my primary care to address before it gets infected . When Dr Brannon was alive I don't think this would have happened but since he passed I feel like this complication due to a botched placement is just kind of ignored. He is everything you would want and need in a doctor with his authentic compassion, professionalism, competency, and integrity. It is evident that he keeps up with the current literature and research within his expertise. He thoroughly explains the details of treatment and discusses them in a way that is respectful by allowing space and consideration for my input and ideas. My depression has been quite severe for all of my adult life (I am now 36 y/o) and extremely treatment resistant. I have tried more medications than you can count on both hands, went through months of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), participated in over a decade of talk therapy.. all with minimal relief.
