Be advised: be ready to service your own policy…read more I'd been with Traveler's insurance through Triangle of Troutman, NC for over 22 years until this April. My policy included vehicles, a commercial policy, a homeowners policy & and a vacation property that i own. I'd never had a claim in over 20 years. My mortgage was sold a year and a half ago to another servicer, & last year i had to call Triangle to give them the information on where to send the declaration page for the policy renewal because the service never received anything from them. I assumed they updated the mortgage lender information & never gave it a second thought after i informed them of the change. This year, my mortgage company again contacted me to let me know they'd not received anything from my insurance company after reaching out to the agent & that would have to put me on a lender based policy. So i again contacted Triangle , & again gave them the information on where to send the necessary info. to continue my policy uninterrupted. I assumed it was taken care of when i didn't get a call from either the Insurance Agency I'd been with for over 20 years or the mortgage company. It wasn't. Somehow, the agent never responded to my mortgage company's requests or updated the loan information in their system. I never received anything through the mail letting me know my policy was canceled. I never got a phone call from the agent who'd made money off of my policy renewals for 22 years, & i missed the email they claim to have sent (probably went to spam folder). When i called to rectify the situation & find out what happened, a very antagonistic, aggressive & rude man (who I'd later find it is the owner) informed me it was all my fault, that he had mailed me the information & that he wouldn't rewrite my policy so i could continue coverage with them, even after i pointed out that none of this was my fault. I have never been treated with such callousness or had my business so unappreciated as i did with him. I will never do business with that company, & warn anyone considering them that while it may seem week & good from the surface, they do not follow through with their obligations of sending information to mortgage lenders, they don't update records when lenders change, & they won't accept any responsibility for their mistake when the ball gets dropped & you end up uninsured. This agency failed me in a big way.
