It wasn't her choice what to charge. Which was another lie. I told her I was done and I would be back. They will never get another dime from me. Branch mixed up documents between at least 3 customers. When we got home it was discovered there…read morewere documents missing from the folder and then additionally someone else's documents inside. That other customer later checked their own folder and confirmed that they in fact had a third person's documents mixed into their folder. Documents included PII (i.e. SSN, name, address, financial institution, account balances etc). As soon as we discovered the data breach we returned to the office with the folder immediately. Branch could not locate the missing documents and had to reprint them, but then also expect us to believe they did not mishandle them. The receptionist stated that the documents got "mixed up on the printer." I would not trust them with you or your loved ones' personal info. Staff was extremely unprofessional and refused to provide any written confirmation of an incident or case opened despite several requests over 3 days and multiple visits to the office to ask to speak to a manager or supervisor. A refund was issued, but that's is a customer-service gesture and does not address the major data privacy issue at hand. When I repeatedly asked for written documentation of the branch reporting the data breach, the branch just kept repeating that they refunded the money. That is irrelevant. Branch refused to provide me with contact info for anyone above the branch or in compliance/data policy. I've opened a case with the H&R Block corporate number and also filed a preparer complaint with the IRS for mishandling documents.
