Frank Ferguson's Testimonial…read more Frank is an 8.5yr young albino, deaf Great Dane. We rescued Frank when he was 4 months old from a breeder who no longer wanted him because his hearing and possible vision impairment. Frank has always been a playful pup and when we started realizing his older brother Leroy was showing his age and not being as playful, we decided to adopt Frank a brother/companion he could play and bond with. That's when Tom, a piebald great dane came into our lives. The plan worked out great, they became instant brothers and played all day/every day. After a couple of years Tom grew a great deal and playtime started becoming rougher and unfortunately Frank injured his rear right leg. We took Frank into The Animal Care Center of Castle Pines to meet with his doc, DR. Johnathan Quint for radiographs and he referred us to an orthopedic specialist in Colorado Springs for further diagnostic evaluation. The doc in Colorado Springs took some more radiographs of Frank's leg and assumed Frank may have injured/torn his ACL and suggested us doing a TPLO on Frank. Frank at the time, was favoring his leg but he would still apply pressure/weight bearing to the leg. He only favored it on strenuous occasions. It was not a complete tear, to where he was not be weight bearing at all, it did not get to that point. So, we decided to opt out of the TPLO at that time and try some more alternative routes. Then, we decided to go to The Animal Care Center for his rehabilitation and it was the best decision we could have made. The staff at the clinic took so much time and care into Frank's injury and were such a great deal of support for my husband and I through this journey. Throughout a two year span of PT, laser, treadmill, swimming & massage, Frank showed a lot of improvement and just loved all the attention, affection and peanut butter Kristen and Kelli would give him. Frank would get so excited to come to every appointment! Frank came in for a follow up appointment with Dr. McVicker and the conversation of Stem Cell Therapy came up because of the flyers they offered in the exam room. Dr. McVicker thought it would be a great idea to explore all our options and informed us of an orthopedic doctor (Dr.Gaynor w/Peak Performance Veterinary Group) that specializes in stem cell therapy. So, she set up an apt with us to come by for a consultation with Dr. Gaynor. We met with Dr.Gaynor, Dr. Bartling and his assistant Holly in July 2018. They all were so fabulous. They spent an abundance of time with Frank and us, examining and going over all our options. We all decided as a team that stem cell therapy could improve Frank's quality of life and pain management, so we figured we would give it a shot. Two weeks later, we had his stem cell therapy treatment done. The staff at Animal Center, Dr. Quint, Dr. Gaynor and VetStem Biopharma were extremely helpful during this process and made it unbelievably stress free. It was actually a piece of cake! It took less than 3 months for Frank to start showing signs of improvement, major improvement! Actually, Frank was acting like a puppy again. His energy level went up, he became more involved and interested in daily activities. He started playing with his brothers again, he rebuilt his confidence with stairs and jumping into the car and on the couch. Most of all, we have not seen him limp once since his stem cell treatment 4 months ago. He truly is back to his old self again, but 3 years younger!!! We have been bragging/educating as many people as possible about the treatment Frank has gone through and explain how life changing it was for our pup Frank and ourselves. Truly was a great decision! My senior cat was suffering from advanced arthritis and was in a lot of pain. I was referred to…read moreDr. Gaynor by my regular vet for advanced stem cell therapy. It was not a fun process to go through, having to put my senior cat under general anesthesia (always risky) for the fat sample extraction, but in the end, it was totally worth it. The stem cells are injected, and then it takes approximately 90 days for the full effect of the treatment. I waited until 4 months to do this review. The treatment was successful for my cat and it has made a big improvement in the quality of his life, as he has much less pain and more mobility, and is generally more like his old self! Dr. Gaynor has another veterinary partner that he works with to perform some of the procedures. There was a bit of communication breakdown in regard to my cat's previous veterinary records and his negative reaction to certain medications. But overall, I was very happy with the experience of working with Dr. Gaynor. He was available by phone for our numerous questions beforehand (we don't live in the area), and in person provided additional information on what to expect during the process. He followed up to check on my cat's status at various stages. I am so thankful that he was available as an option for us.

The surgeon recommended that she would need extensive physical therapy post-op. Living in Frisco, I assumed it was unlikely that I would find a physical therapy veterinarian for my pup's rehab and that I would have to drive to Denver weekly for the therapy. Fortunately for me and my pup, I was referred to Dr. Rebecca Hall, owner and founder of Zen Mountain Mobility located in Summit County. Rebecca is an experienced vet, certified vet acupuncturist and canine rehab therapist. This is my third dog with an ACL tear and surgery, and I can say comparatively speaking that Rebecca has been one of the best and was truly essential with my 115 lb pup's recovery! Her ability to zone in on the trouble spots post-op was amazing and her ability to successfully work the weak muscles was extraordinary. She communicated with the surgeon at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital so that when I went back for my pup's post-op visits, he knew the status of her recovery. The surgeon was amazed and also thrilled with Rebecca's involvement with my pup's recovery. Besides her amazing wealth of knowledge about veterinary medicine and a dog's musculoskeletal system, her approach to my pup was non-threatening, gentle and even soothing as she massaged those weak muscles. It was amazing to see her insert the acupuncture needles without my pup reacting. She is kind and had a calming effect on my pup. Kelly I believe is diagnosed mental health issues, seen her just lose it car parking lot her own literally pulling her own hair out. Overbooks dogs state regulations one person per 15 dogs, she leaves one person employee 25-30 dogs for day. This is bad facilities, no drains floor to keep clean, just a mop & bucket slip urine and fecis around, can't really give place good cleaning. The yard no drainage, again fecis and urine just stagnant.
