Just watched the manager go to the back and pull a bottle of Blanton's and sell it to the cashier on duty.

Lowes Foods - Love this Chain. Hate they left the Cornelius Area

We really like Lowes Foods and while we typically either go to the Lewisville, Robin Hood or…read moreClemmons locations. We were in the Bermuda Run area today so, we decided to stop in. We had looked through the Lowes app to see the weekly specials and wanted to pick up some of the ribeye steaks which were on sale. But we were only able to see three packages in the cooler at about 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. The rest of our shopping experience was fine as we picked up a few items but it really got uncomfortable when we went to the check stand. Our cashier began ringing up our order and we watched the computer screen to ensure the items rang up correctly. She got to the end of the order and we questioned why the beer we picked up did not ring up correctly when they were clearly marked down $2.00 for two Carolina based beers. This is the ongoing special when items are made in the state of North Carolina. We informed our cashier, who may have been training about the price discrepancy and she was quick to ask the person bagging our groceries. He didn't know either and approached one of the three women employees who were talking at the front of the store. All three women came over to the check stand and we told them the beer wasn't ringing up correctly. We noticed none of them made eye contact and began whispering to each other before one of the ladies began walking back to the beer aisle. While she was gone the four other employees stood there and it felt uncomfortable. After a couple of minutes she walked back to the register and began whispering to the other women. There was no communication to us at all, she just began punching in the discount which reduced our total. After I removed my credit card I was asked if I wanted cash back to which I replied no. I was told I was charged the original total and I was getting $2.14 back in cash. I did not ask or do anything to get cash back. I just wanted to pay what was owed with my credit card and not receive any change back but I did, it was strange. Honestly was the wait worth $2.00, no. Was the attitude and response by the employees justified, no. It is really frustrating when you go to any business and the items do not ring up correctly. We just wanted to get in and get out and these women made it feel like it was our fault the item didn't ring up correctly. Our customer service experience at the other Lowes are always above average when compared to other grocery stores but that was absolutely not our experience today. We will not be returning to the Bermuda Run Lowes.

Lowes Foods is on the level of a Harris Teeter. Good quality products and some higher end items…read more Good beer selection, with local\regional craft beers also available. They also have a beer station where you can fill up growlers. Wine selection is decent, better than most grocery stores. As you can tell, beer and wine selections are something I make a priority. :-) Deli section is decent. Store is clean. Prices are not Wal-Mart Grocery cheep but not terrible. Place has self checkout which is a must these days.

Thank goodness Mark Sprinkle was there to clue us in. He asked us questions like how many are invited, location of the venue, type of food that will be served and voila, the recommendations started flowing. We are having beer and wine. He suggested reasonably priced wines that wouldn't break our budget, but are still delicious and would be enjoyed by our guests. We also were able to taste the wines he suggested. We've also been there shopping for wine and find they have a large selection to choose from. They are reasonably priced too. I found some of the wines we bought there priced for more at grocery stores. Another bonus, I love Duplin Wine, most specifically the Orange Blossom and Southern Mist. I can only find them here at total wine. Beer is priced lower here, too. Well, the kind we drink. You will also find good selection of ciders and THC infused drinks. Big variety of everything. It's fun just to go and look around... Broaden your horizon.

A well stocked and widely varied selection of wines and other beverages. In a cozy wood paneled setting, screams 'INVITING'. They also have a sitting room/tasting room along with bar and TVs. Perfect for just hanging out and possibly for organized gatherings. This place oozes taste and sophistication but with down to earth practicality. Spoke with the granddaughter or a great granddaughter, working the register, of the originator of the business. Family institutions hold a place near and dear in my heart. And on top of that this seems to be the place to find just about anything you're looking for; if they don't have it I've got a strong feeling that the staff will help procure it. Definitely looking forward to maybe getting their recommendations for pairings with finer food dishes. Looking forward to tying into what this place has to offer.

The shelves are kept stocked but there are some brands that sell out quickly and are hard to restock due to high demand. Shopping here is always pleasure and they do not kind of you browse. This store is in the Eastgate Shopping Center (with Peebles, Tractor Supply Company, etc.). You can't miss the big ABC sign out in the front. All I can say is, it is about damn time. I hate all of these backwards laws that forced all of us "deviants" to drive to other parts of a county or country line to get booze. I'm sure it made some locals feel good about themselves to lose out on tax revenue and inconvenient their neighbors to say "we don't have liquor here". Okay, RANT ON [OFF]. Sorry about that. This ABC Store is on par with the one in Bermuda Run. It is about the same size with similar selections. This store is larger and has a better selection than its Cooleemee store partner. Decent selection of rum, whiskey, vodka and other liquors. They even have some high end whiskies for sale. Talking about the stuff that costs hundreds of dollars. For you sticky finger people, the high end stuff is behind locked glass. I'm not a fan of government run liquor stores but I have given up on that. It is just a fact of life in NC. This specific store has a good selection and the people who work here are very friendly.
