We passed them around and everybody loved them all. The server was very nice, and we had a great experience. We really like Lowes Foods and while we typically either go to the Lewisville, Robin Hood or…read moreClemmons locations. We were in the Bermuda Run area today so, we decided to stop in. We had looked through the Lowes app to see the weekly specials and wanted to pick up some of the ribeye steaks which were on sale. But we were only able to see three packages in the cooler at about 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. The rest of our shopping experience was fine as we picked up a few items but it really got uncomfortable when we went to the check stand. Our cashier began ringing up our order and we watched the computer screen to ensure the items rang up correctly. She got to the end of the order and we questioned why the beer we picked up did not ring up correctly when they were clearly marked down $2.00 for two Carolina based beers. This is the ongoing special when items are made in the state of North Carolina. We informed our cashier, who may have been training about the price discrepancy and she was quick to ask the person bagging our groceries. He didn't know either and approached one of the three women employees who were talking at the front of the store. All three women came over to the check stand and we told them the beer wasn't ringing up correctly. We noticed none of them made eye contact and began whispering to each other before one of the ladies began walking back to the beer aisle. While she was gone the four other employees stood there and it felt uncomfortable. After a couple of minutes she walked back to the register and began whispering to the other women. There was no communication to us at all, she just began punching in the discount which reduced our total. After I removed my credit card I was asked if I wanted cash back to which I replied no. I was told I was charged the original total and I was getting $2.14 back in cash. I did not ask or do anything to get cash back. I just wanted to pay what was owed with my credit card and not receive any change back but I did, it was strange. Honestly was the wait worth $2.00, no. Was the attitude and response by the employees justified, no. It is really frustrating when you go to any business and the items do not ring up correctly. We just wanted to get in and get out and these women made it feel like it was our fault the item didn't ring up correctly. Our customer service experience at the other Lowes are always above average when compared to other grocery stores but that was absolutely not our experience today. We will not be returning to the Bermuda Run Lowes.

There is a reception area on the left of the front door. Most of the wines for sale are in the center of the room and along the walls. There are also a smattering of tables mostly for couples or small groups who wish to enjoy the wines on offer within the shop. Reception area is where they will inform you where the wines to enjoy on the premises reside and how the digital taps work. You pay up front for a card that you will use to insert into the various taps. One you select a wine to taste you insert your card, push the button to choose a 1 oz pour, 2 oz etc., NOTE before you push the button don't forget to put your wine glass under the spout. I lost a bit of wine to the counter upon my first attempt. Also the clean wine glasses are on the shelf to the left of the wine bank area. This day there was 1 bank of white wines and 2 of reds. I decided to try them all so I opted for 1 oz pours. The wines are pretty reasonable on Sundays as the wines are half price. So its a great time to find a new favorite! The wines come from many different countries, wineries and wine varietals and blends. Mostly I saw wines from 2023 to 2025. They may have older wines but I didn't see any. The shop owner would be able to assist you with any questions in this regard. We were all having a great time tasting and discussing the wines. It was a great way to spend an afternoon. The shop closes promptly at 6pm so we will certainly be back in the future for more wine and shopkeeper's hospitality.

There was also a good variety of price points too, ranging from about $3-$6. The card is $3 with a $20 minimum amounting to about $25 with tax. We were able to load it once and split it between the two of us. It was a bit further from my home so it's not conveniently located where I would visit often but I did enjoy the concept.

For those who live outside of NC and follow my reviews, in NC you have to buy your hard alcohol from a store controlled by the state. You cannot buy things like bourbon or vodka from a grocery store. The pricing is more controlled, but you are at the mercy of the distribution among the ABC stores by the local county distribution centers it seems. Overall it was good, but not great. I hate all of these backwards laws that forced all of us "deviants" to drive to other parts of a county or country line to get booze. I'm sure it made some locals feel good about themselves to lose out on tax revenue and inconvenient their neighbors to say "we don't have liquor here". Okay, RANT ON [OFF]. Sorry about that.
