I could not agree more with Cristina S (see below). Except that I will add that when, against all odds, you do manage to speak to a person, they LIE and tell you not to worry because your child will get a text to schedule a lesson which invariably DOES NOT HAPPEN. I have called countless times, leaving countless messages. This has been the most frustrating experience from start to finish, oh wait... we haven't finished because we can't schedule a lesson.... I went through them to take my driving test, and passed. No problem! The only problem was the wait.. it wasn't too bad though. I felt like I was in and out of the school when my actual test was done! As for actual drivers ed, I have no input on that. Thanks Tri-Town! read more

My daughter took her classroom lessons in September and October and has had her permit since January. We have tried almost daily for driving hours and there are never ANY available. I have called 3 days in a row and left a message asking for a call back, and have not received a call back. She has not had a single driving lesson as there are never any available. Horrible customer service, terrible company - despicable to do to teenagers who have done everything right and all they want is to get their license. read more

Just terrible. While the classroom portion of the driver's training is adequate, they simply fail to provide lessons and observation. In 7 months they've been able to fit in my son for just 1 lesson (out of the 8 paid for). He would have been eligible to get his driver's license 2 months ago, but the school's website, where they schedule lessons, hasn't shown a single lesson available for months. It is very hard to schedule driving lessons. Most of the time there is no availability if you check online. If you call them, it's the same thing. They say that they will give you a call back later to give you some schedules but they don't. If you get to schedule some lessons, sometimes they will just change your appointment time without getting your permission. They will notify you of the change just a few hours in advance. It's a big headache and a big waste of time. I end up having to check every day for availability. They need to hire more drivers or get more cars or accept less students! read more

If you ever want your child to get to take their drivers test stay clear of Tri Town! They are quick to take your money but never have time to book the necessary driving lessons needed for the driving license test. It has been almost a year since my daughter signed up and we had to cancel her Drivers License test twice because they were not able to free up ANY time for her. We have tried multiple times to schedule and made ourselves completely available for any time that worked for them. If there is any management there they are completely inept at running a business or they are scam artist taking as many people through the door to fill their pockets with cash then leave them out to dry.... I regrettably paid for both of my kids at the same time to take lessons here after we moved here from NJ. I barely managed to get my daughter through the program without having to constantly harass them into scheduling driving lessons for her. Now I am trying to get the remaining 6 driving lessons scheduled for my son, and I am getting zero response from them. It does not matter what you do - constant emails and/or phone calls do not help. I have even copied the owner on the emails - he does not care, so don't fall for his speech during the parent class. We have been keeping track of all our attempts to get what we paid for, so now we are forced to seek legal assistance. We will be leaving negative reviews everywhere, putting in a complaint with the BBB, and hiring a lawyer to get our money back. Never do business with these people - by far the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

Go with another driving school for your child!! A few years ago I had my son go thru this school and it was great. I recently signed up my daughter and it was the worst experience I have ever had. From the instructor telling my daughter it was a waste of his time on her very first lesson to all of the aggravation we has trying to schedule lessons. They never pick up the phone so if you have to get in touch with them you have to go to the Reading Office to speak to them. read more

Do not even consider going here. I have no idea how this place stays in business! After my son finished his classroom lessons here I heard rumors that it was hard to schedule lessons. So before I paid the remaining fees I called and asked about it. I was told that once I paid in full and took the parent class that they would book 2-3 road lessons for him right away then schedule the rest as he went along, so I paid them my full balance. 2 months later, when I completed the parent class I called and a woman named Eileen told me that they would never schedule 2 or 3 lessons at once but that they would start sending texts with available lesson times. When I complained that I had been told something else Eileen said, "Sorry, but that's how we do it. He will DEFINITELY get a lesson this weekend though." Today is two weeks later and we haven't received a single text. I called today and spoke again to Eileen. Believe it or not she said, "Sorry (again) and your son will DEFINITELY get a lesson this weekend - I just checked with my supervisor and she guarantees it." I then asked to speak to her supervisor and she said, "She's not here right now." Seriously?! I am appalled that a business would victimize customers this way. read more

They are just interested in money. Failing our road test 2 times on purpose to get us on their 475$ coaching classes. I am a 2 years practices driver in Alabama with limited term license. I just needed to pass road test in MA. But shocked by their evaluation, they just gave false comments and failed me twice. When I asked for explanation they need me to join as student with one of their expensive classes. And as another reviewer said, they just don't answer calls/ reply to emails. We lost 400$ for 2 road tests. Very bad and not recommended. read more

The classroom portion was fine. My kid was able to easily pass the permit test after the class. The parent class was also fine. The driving instructors were decent and my child was able to pass her road test. However, scheduling the actual driving lessons was a big nightmare. The person in charge of scheduling lessons is very disorganized and does not always return calls or emails. My kid was blown off a couple times, received a text at the 11th hour canceling a lesson, etc. read more

This is a horrible school turn back and go somewhere else! For starters we scheduled my daughter for her Drivers Ed class in Billerica because I work and its in walking distance from our house. The day before the class at 4:45 15 min before they closed we received an email saying the classes have been relocated to Woburn.......... now my daughter has no way of getting there. We scrambled a ride for her for the week! Now trying to schedule a driving lesson is like pulling teeth! nothing is available and the website is down and not going to be back up until the middle of May! they have to get her lessons done 13 days before her test Its going to take a miracle for this to happen. All four of my children learned to drive at Tri Town in Woburn. I felt that the instructors did a fantastic job and I did not have any trouble finding appointments. If your child is close to getting their license exam then they will text you available times and you won't have to worry. I would definitely recommend Tri Town. * The classroom portion was not particularly professional, unless your fine with arrogant swearing. * Scheduling a driving lesson had to be done MONTHS in advance using their online system. When you start end of June looking for some time in the summer, it's nearly next to impossible. Once I realized this in August, his last 3 lessons couldn't be scheduled until December. When I called, the office just said to keep checking daily. * The road test itself was totally unprofessional. I don't know if this is Tritown's fault or not. Who knows how they find the testers. The TESTER brought her boyfriend with her, and the 2 being tested had to listen to them bickering while they were being tested. * To cap it all off, TRITOWN NEVER SUBMITTED MY SON'S EXAM RESULTS TO THE RMV. So he was driving around with his signed permit, waiting for the license to come in the mail AND IT NEVER DID. After calling Tritown to figure out WHY NOT they just told me apparently I had not paid. I HAD. So they said they'd look into it and get back to me. 5 days later, I have to sit on the phone for 40 minutes waiting to talk to the RMV directly, and they said that the driving school NEVER SUBMITTED the exam results until the day after I called them back. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. We had a really, REALLY good experience with Porter Driving School which is just down the street. We didn't use him this 2nd time because the classroom week did not align with my son's schedule. We won't make that mistake again. ALL our children from now on will go to Porter. I agree with the previous post. The classroom portion enabled my kids to pass the test fine and the driving instruction seemed to be good. Scheduling lessons is nearly impossible. No one answers the phone and no one returns the messages. I have attempted to schedule a lesson by calling 5-6 times in the past 10 days and have not had one of my calls returned. OMG - What a nightmare this place is. Do not go here. They are unprofessional, unreliable and just plain incompetent. Find somewhere else to get your driving instruction is my best advice. This place was a total waste of time. Multiple times they did not show for the pickup for a scheduled lesson. This place is horrible. So unprofessional, they never pick up my calls for my driving lesson and its been over 5 months since i finished my class and I have only gotten one driving lesson in. I had to cancel once and i emailed and called and left a message because per usual nobody picked up and they called me yelling at my where I was when i tried to cancel multiple times. Denise is very bad at getting back to you and you have to call her MULTIPLE times to just schedule ONE driving lesson! DO NOT GO HERE. I usually never write reviews on things because I get over the bad service but this place i had to warn other people about because it truly is so unprofessional and not worth hundreds of dollars that they take. There's honestly no use of me even taking the lessons anymore because ill be turning 18 before I even finish my 12 driving lessons that's how bad scheduling lessons are. I agree with the previous posts. Classroom portion was fine, but it's been 2 months of trying to schedule driving lessons (5 months since lessons). It is near impossible to get them on the phone, they do not return phone messages or e-mails. They take your money, cash your check and then you cannot get through to set up lessons. We even stopped by the office. It was closed during their so-called business hours. They hung up on my daughter after she had finally gotten through and was asking about scheduling lessons. If by some miracle you do get a lesson, they may cancel or have the wrong date. Completely inept and unorganized. My daughter would love to get her license sometime before college. We will never use them with the rest of our kids. read more

I would definitely recommend coming here for your license test. The main instructor explains the exact route and the questions that the Tester will ask. The classroom portion is fine too. But DO NOT take driving lessons here. Their scheduling system is hopeless, practically nonexistent, and if you have any preference for an instructor, forget it. They'll pretend to listen to your requests and then just ignore it. Some instructors are good, but most are terrible. The worst one was a guy named Fred. He was so rude, and terrible at explaining how to drive. He yelled at several of his students. I even saw a few cry during the lessons. Even if you're new at driving, he'll expect you to know the whole thing. And his method of teaching a student how to master the highway was horrific. On your very first lesson with him he takes you on the highway without any warning, and then doesn't explain what to do when you're on it. Like throwing a person who can't swim into a deep pool. If you want to have an efficient driving experience, take lessons elsewhere. read more
