I had to have my computer serviced because I screwed up my computer…read more The extent of my screw up necessitated having the Operating System reinstalled. I took my ailing terminal to Zaxx's to get the work done. I fully expected the work to take more than a day because I got there late in the morning. To my surprise, I received a call less than 5 hours later telling me that my computer was ready for pick up!! The personnel at the shop is friendly and courteous; and my bill was exactly the same as the estimate. Zaxx's is a top-shelf repair shop!!

To my surprise, not only were they reasonable, but they threw in a few minor freebies to help me and my family out. Our household has six computers between us and with younger children using them, I spend more time at Zaxx than I would like. But, they are always accommodating, making sure I get the very best out of my warranties and always making sure the repairs are permanent fixes. Finally, when my home office computer began to shut off without warning, they worked with me to make sure that not only did I have a replacement, but all my important files for work were transferred over. All for an unimaginably low price. My desperation over the loss of my ability to work in this economy didn't bring me to tears, but their unexpected kindness and sincere desire to help me, did. These guys TOTALLY rock! :)

We are talking a couple of feet. OtterBox and screen protector. took it to Best Buy this time. They told me the screen Marshfield Technology put in my phone was absolute junk. It was so hard to get out of my phone they weren't even sure it was for my phone. (Not to mention the resolution quality and response time was horrible compared to my girlfriends Exact same iPhone). I called Marshfield Technology to discuss this with David (the owner of the company) apparently they have my account flagged because I left them a bad review. He said and I quote "you left me a bad review don't call here anymore." I don't know about you, but that just seems like bad business. I urge all of you to go somewhere else for your repair needs. They use junk to replace your OEM components. I was warned by a coworker of mine that knows them very well that I should take my business elsewhere. I should have listened. Please, save yourself some money and a headache and go to Best Buy. They will replace your screens Whether you have insurance or not and they WILL undercut what Marshfield Technology is charging BY A LOT! Also be warned! The screens that they put in to your iPhones are not Apple products and could potentially void any warranty that you have with Apple.

Do not ignore the reviews about the customer service. On top of that I suspect they could be…read morerunning a lucrative scam. I'll get to that part after I fill in the details of what I've experienced in the last two months. So my first time in there the "lady" the others talked about was very nasty and rude to a few people that came in and she even complained about them to me after they left. I thought wow, but, she was nice to me and some conversation was nice to kill the time. So, I didn't hold it against her, I just thought it wasn't very professional. Since then I've had to return every 2-3 weeks with problems. She hadn't been there again until today. Every time they lighten my wallet by just under $30. This time however I came feeling 99.9% confident I discovered what the cause of the problem had been and I fixed it. I still needed them to clear the error code and reset the equipment though. Of course by now I'm getting tired of shelling out $30 to them every couple weeks especially when I had to be the one to discover and correct the problem so it won't continue to lighten the weight of my right butt cheek pocket. I get the lovely lady up to speed on this recurring problem and suggest we have a discussion on how we should resolve the fact that I feel I have been wrongly charged repeatedly for an issue I believe they were responsible for. Holy cow, if that didn't bring out the broom stick! I mean there is only one word to describe it and I can't use it. But it has 4 letters and starts with the third letter of the alphabet. A guy I think was the owner kind of tried to get her to tone it down twice but ultimately rather than intervening or taking over entirely, he walked away and let her do it her way. She was rude, trying to shout over me explaining something to her or trying to asking questions, she accused me of being a liar and said you guys come in here all the time accusing us of doing something wrong. Well, the first time I heard her rant I believed her and even sided with her. But now, I'm wondering if all the accusers were the ones in the right and if Woods and/or this lady aren't the ones pulling something. What was causing the reoccurring problem was corrosion on the positive battery terminal. The negative was very snug, but could be tightened another 1/8 turn. Since I had to disconnect the negative for 20 min, I figured I'd remove the positive too just to be thorough. That's when I found the corrosion, you wouldn't see it w/o taking the wire off. I wire brushed it off, sprayed acid neutralizer, then a terminal protectant, and reconnected the wires tight. Everything worked again, but needed the unit cleared one more time. Why am I thinking scam? There are two reasons. They claim they don't touch the battery. What? Really? Even the pimply teenager doing car stereo installs at Best Buy knows to disconnect the battery before connecting or disconnecting electronics. If they don't do that here they either don't know anything about electronics, or they cut corners that can cost you, or maybe that's intentional. They repeatedly said they are not mechanics. Well neither is that car stereo installer, but he knows enough to do his job right. If wood wants to claim they instal or service antenna rotors or signal amplifiers with live power, I want to sit at a poker table with them. They also said that almost every time there is a problem, it's battery related. How do they know that if they don't touch them, and if they know that, why don't they check it? I suspect it is because they know they will make a lot of easy money hitting you for $30 for 10 minutes of time resetting the unit a few times before you end up scheduling a $100 inspection before they (maybe) address the battery condition, wires, and tight terminal connections. The second thing making me wonder if there isn't a scam is the fact the lady aggressively insists on being paid with cash. What are they trying to hide? I wonder if they wouldn't make the news after an IRS audit
