Modern renovations did a remarkable job on our siding. In a week we had beautiful new siding and…read moregutters. When we decided to finally reach out to them to see what the next plan of action was, the woman on the phone seemed like it was such a burden to schedule an appointment for me. The roof was finally installed a week later but shortly afterwards we noticed a few shingles flapping in the wind. We were unable to get ahold of anyone on the phone and was often left listening to "please leave a voicemail" so I decided to reach out via Facebook which also took some time to receive a response. When we did receive a response instead of the woman being apologetic she was defensive and actually said "well this is our busy season and we don't prefer communication via Facebook" maybe someone should ANSWER THE PHONE THEN! Even after all this we still supported them and referred them to other people and now we are really regretful of that. A few days ago we received a bill that said we owed them for the roof they put on over a year ago. When we called for clarification my husband left a voicemail and received a call shortly there after from someone who said they had an invoice issue and to call Monday and they would resolve it. Mind you the invoice had a handwritten note on it for us to call them immediately so obviously they saw this an investigated it before it went out. Luckily for us we paid with a check but we feel bad for the people who paid cash and didn't keep their receipts for over a year and also for the elderly who may not think twice about whether they paid it and will unknowingly cut this business another check for services they already paid for. To add insult to injury we ended up with a BAT INFESTATION due to a large hole left on the back of our house where the dormer roof met the other part of the roof. The hole was so big you could fit a soft ball through it. Imagine the horror of hearing 100s of bats scratching in your ceiling. I would never recommend this company to anyone not even my worst enemy.

Not all roofing companies have your best interest in mind. As a matter of fact, some like High…read morePoint Roofing have proven they are more interested in getting a new roof and commission rather than an honest assessment of an existing roof. My house was on the market, and the buyer wanted a roof inspection and called High Point Roofing. I had no problem with the inspection and personally have over 40 years of construction experience. The report came back that there was one missing shingle, exposed nail heads on the ridge vent, rubber cracking on pipe vent, two popped nails on garage section, discoloration on front slop shingles and some granular loss as found in guttering (these repairs were simple and would take no more than one hour to repair). This 23-year-old roof expert concluded that the 30-year architectural shingle that was approximately 23 years old only had a "maximum of 1-2 Years Left of Life" and that the roof needed replaced (Notice the caps used to demand attention and generate fear). In all of my years of dealing with inspectors I have never had one offer such a precise life expectancy, only High Point Roofing. Needled to Say the Buyer wanted a new $20,000.00 roof at the Sellers expense. I'm perfectly fine with fixing problems when necessary and needed. In this case it was an egregious attempt to put on new roof that wasn't necessary. I called Antony Regalbuto one of the owners, about his inspector and report. He reported key problems that are often indicators of a roof in decline that an inspector would identify. He noted specifically that often such roofs have fiberglass exposed and bubbling shingles which can include moisture problems and/or poor ventilation in the attic. I agreed with him that both were indicators of a bad roof. I then asked Anthony, if his 23-year-old roof inspector identified in his report such failures and he was silent. He was silent because they didn't exist. In the end Anthony protected his employee. I'm sure Anthony will dispute my report and if so I have written documentation in hand to corroborate my statement. I also have a few billboards that I can offer caution and direct potential customers to another roofing company. I'm very disappointed with the High Point Roofing and a young man that tried for a big commission on my dime. I did not identify the young man intentionally as I hope he learns a lesson from this experience Clark Struebing
