Working with Cam White and his team at Homes By Dickerson was an absolute dream! Cam started with…read moreus a few months into our homebuilding journey as the previous superintendent left, so he had to learn everything about us, and our home from a blank slate, quickly, to keep things moving. Cam made this process painless, and caught and resolved issues we had been dealing with previously, immediately. From start to finish, the level of professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care he brought to the project far exceeded our expectations. This wasn't just about building a house--it was about crafting a home with every luxury and nuance perfectly tailored to our needs. Cam epitomizes "white glove service" in every sense of the word. His friendly and approachable demeanor made the process seamless and enjoyable, and no question or request was too big or too small. He consistently went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was executed to perfection--often anticipating our needs before we even voiced them. The craftsmanship and quality of the finished product speak volumes, but what truly sets Cam apart is his dedication to making the entire experience as stress-free and pleasant as possible. Cam's commitment to excellence is rare, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had such an outstanding partner on this journey. Even post close, Cam worked with us to help hang our TV above the fireplace, which was something that he didn't have to do, but wanted to do. This just further showed that he truly cared and wanted to see the dream of a living room finished that he helped us create. We cannot recommend Cam and Homes by Dickerson highly enough for anyone looking for top-tier expertise paired with unparalleled customer service. A true professional who genuinely cares about his clients and his craft!

Our punch list was completely taken care of to the point of going over and above our expectations. Our house is beautiful, and we are very pleased. Having a custom home builder that worked with our design changes and incorporating them perfectly (unlike other builders) is exactly what we needed. Overall, 5+ in all areas!

Very disappinted because some things could have been caught by our project manager before we did our final walk. Had some other major issues going on but to long to write out. House appears to look great but could have had more attention to detail. Warranty dept has been great at sending the appropriate crews out. We've had people in and out for a year now since we closed, now thats sad. We need to get to a point where we can enjoy this major family purchase.

We live in an end unit which likely leaves it more prone to settling but this is ridiculous. The common wall between the kitchen and pantry has a huge crack to the extent the pantry door will not even close. Front door has been very difficult to close for close to a year now, obviously another settling issue. There is also a crack on an adjacent wall where a window is installed. In addition we have cracks down the driveway and a fairly wide crack all the way down the middle of the garage floor. I have seen many owners comment on the HVAC system which we had to have repaired numerous times, eventually having to replace it entirely a couple of years ago. Virtually every neighbor we know within a stones throw have all had to replace their system as well. I will report back on the settling issue.

APPROVAL OF TRASH BINS IN PLAIN SITE OF YOUR HOMES MAIN WINDOWS…read more BUYER BEWARE: A critical factor to consider is how the community is managed by the HOA, which is overseen by Charleston Management Corp. They are very strict about keeping trash bins visible. When a neighbor sought approval for a fence to conceal the bins, the HOA surprisingly approved a fence towards the front side portion of home instead of towards the rear. As a result, I returned home to find trash bins directly in front of my main windows (see an attached photo). I contacted the HOA, and their response was unsatisfactory for any homeowner who might have been aware of this issue prior to purchasing. ---------- HOA's RESPONSE --------- The trash screen was approved by the ARC committee. I know this is not what you want to hear. I am so sorry. I reached out to the owner and asked her if she would be willing to move it to the back of the unit; I also explained how you could see if from your window. She said that she is not going to move it due to it being approved. My sincerest apologies, my assistant just made me aware of it. Thank you ! ----------------------------------------- Seriously? This was clearly a mistake on their part, and they seem unwilling to correct it.

During the building process of our new home, the construction manager & sales representative were…read morevery professional and responded to all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner. Once we moved into our home in July. 2022, architectural issues quickly arised from poor constructional work. We have had numerous issues from a baseboard being stapled through a water pipe, causing a huge leak in our dining room leading to damaged walls and flooring, to having an 8 foot long Crack in our foundation that we have been dealing with since winter. Reaching out to DRB regarding these issues has not been an easy task, given the fact that we keep getting a new point of contact we need to reach, getting the run around, or blatantly being ignored. Our dining room has been in the 'process' of getting fixed since August 2022 & has still YET to be finished almost 2 years later because we are no longer getting responses from Dan Ryan. Not only I am extremely disappointed in the poor craftsman ship, but ever more disappointed in how Dan Ryan has been handling the situation..or lack of. As for the 8 foot Crack in our foundation that has damaged our drywall, baseboards, and carpet, now causing mold in our home due to the winter snow & all the rain is presumably not covered in our warranty because according to Dan Ryan it is not considered a ' major structural defect'. We are extremely disheartened to experience this considering we thought this would be our forever home. We are at a loss on what to do & figured the next steps would be to get a lawyer involved. I would highly reconsider this builder for your future home.
