Bright was the morning and high my heart when i set forth to fight the Mad Mold Monster, where events eventually eventuated as I shall now sing. Always anxiously alliterating with world weary wisdom and surprisingly superior sagacity I strove to complete this outrageously odiferous odyssey. Classic Restoration accompanied me on this quest. With Guido's gifted guiding and Karoline's Cagey calculating the Mad Mold Monster was defeated. Now since my furiously flying fingers are suffering from calamitous catastrophic cramp I will veto vociferous vocabulary and tell the tale. Whew! Sagas are hard work! My dishwasher leaked water and it got underneath my floor. Before replacing the floor I was told I need mold remediation. I hired a company to do mold testing and the results were positive for mold spores and a protocol was written. I got estimates from several companies that specialize in mold remediation and was dismayed at the various prices I was quoted. These ranged from $8,000 - $14,000 dollars since it would require tearing out and replacing walls and cabinets. Guido from Classic Restoration to the rescue! Guido informed me that before tearing apart my condo, I should have the flooring in the affected area removed to see exactly what the damage was. This made sense to me and Classic Restoration got the job. After removing the floor Guido determined that HEPA air cleaning, bacteria wipe down of the whole condo, and Bacteria bombing should solve the problem. The cost for these services came to $2,650! This is 1/3 of the lowest price quoted me by the other companies. I cannot thank Guido (& Karoline) enough for their honesty, hard work, and fair prices!

The technician showed up on time, and when back up was required the senior support manager came within 20 minutes. The plumber we originally called (different company) took 2 days and 4 visits to "incomplete" the job. Roto Rooter got the job done in one service call and stayed until the job was done correctly. Invoice says payment due in 30 days -- he places lien and files in court after 7 days…read more While I was in Michigan I received a phone call saying there was water in my neighbor's Florida condo which was coming from my unit next-door. I hadn't been in my condo for months and had no idea what the situation was. I called Mr. Dry Out and asked if he could take a look. When Mr. Dry Out arrived and called it was clear from his description that water was present for a long time causing extensive damage. Among other things he specifically mentioned that he would charge an insurance company $4000 to $5000 to remediate the damages which were so extensive that the unit was not fit for sale, that walls needed to be removed, and that mold could extend four feet high. I said that I was very familiar with construction and would leave the next morning to drive down, but that my immediate concern was to stop any water from entering my neighbor's unit. Mr. Jerabek became extremely difficult to deal with. I became concerned and called several times to say that all I wanted was to protect the adjacent unit. He said that there was much that needed to be done and he would continue to do all that he wanted to protect his reputation. I wanted to tell him to leave my place, but felt I couldn't due to the need to safeguard my neighbors. He eventually left after several hours. Two days later I arrived to find that the description I had received was completely false. There was no mold and it was obvious that there had not been any. All the furniture was in excellent condition, the walls were just as when we left months ago, nothing had been damaged by water. I was shocked! It was readily apparent that the water had not been in our unit for an extended time and only recently when a worker turned on the main shutoff valve outside our unit had a leaking faucet in the bathroom -- immediately adjacent to my neighbors -- caused the floor to be wet. Though I had said that I would do any needed work on my unit, Mr. Jerabek had removed carpet throughout my condo, tore off tiles, ripped up tack strip, and removed trim. None of which I wanted or needed, and none of which had anything to do with protecting my neighbor. I feel fortunate that my strong protestations on the phone hindered him from doing even more destruction. From my condo I called Mr. Dry Out and told him we needed to discuss his work. He refused to meet and threatened legal action. After returning to Michigan I received a bill in the mail for twice the amount he had quoted which called for payment within 30 days. After only seven days I received notice that a lien had been place on my property and a suit filed in small claims court. The judge gave him half of what he was seeking.
