Irresponsables para devolver una llamada urgente por medicamento prescrito de la tensión, pasaron 5 días por esa razón volví a llamar al supuesto consultorio para recordarles que necesito con urgencia el medicamento debido a mi alta hipertension, luego de tanta insistencia para que enviaran la preautorizacion a Oscar Insurance me respondió la Sra Maria que eso tomaba 2- 3 semanas para que el seguro medico respondiera (lo cual no es mi trabajo sino el de ese consultorio debido a que esa medicina es de por vida y urgente) por fin tomo nota de el número de fax, el es costo $0 y por falta de esa entidad médica que se negaron a enviar preautorización al seguro medico Oscar, al ir a la farmacia me cobraron $68, la Sra Maria me dijo que si era tanta la emergencia de la medicina que la pagará y esperara a que me respondieran. Llame directamente al seguro Oscar, le explique todo el caso, trataron de comunicarse con el supuesto consultorio 3 veces lo cual les fue imposible, por lo tanto escalaron el caso al departamento correspondiente por la urgencia de mi medicamento. Honestamente no quiero ser esclava de tomar medicinas pero la hipertension es algo que lo exige, el dolor de cabeza es terrible el pecho, el cuello y la cara las tengo rojas del dolor. Tri County Internal Medicine has been the only physician's office that my family has ever trusted. We've been seeing Dr Dambach since the day he opened his practice. All social media feedback is reviewed by the leadership and actions taken immediately to rectify any bad experiences. So do not rely solely upon the one star reviews you see. Those are isolated experiences and do not reflect the actual beliefs or treatment you will receive at this office. I have never had an issue getting an appointment with one of the doctors, no matter the urgency of my illnesses. The team promptly answers every call or responds to every voicemail within a timely manner. Dr Leah Macklin and Dr Christopher Borrego are some of the finest physicians you will ever meet. They honestly care about you and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and most importantly, confident in their diagnosis and treatments. I cannot stress enough how awful this office is! If I had nothing better to do with my life I'd sit in their parking lot telling people to turn around. Getting anyone on the phone, return a phone call, post your results in your portal takes an act of God. If anything does show up in your bloodwork or scans you will get your results from the imaging center or Quest first and spend the next few days calling the office trying to get someone to please help you. No one will return your call. Figure it out on the internet. Have the results now, make the appt with the Dr to discuss, it may take a week, yet they have walk in from the street appointments available. They may have someone, not a Dr., call you after you've left 3 messages after 3 days and tell you that you have a certain condition and not explain any treatment or plan or rechecking blood, possible future issues, just throw it at you. I will say one good thing about this office, they have 2 phlebotomists that are excellent. read more

I had to come here for a work physical. I was told to be there at 10:15am by the MA on the phone. I got there at 10am. When I got there I was another person ahead of me. When that person was called back 4 more people came. Next thing I know all 4 of those people where called back before me. An hour later I was finally called back. When the doctor came In to do my physical he told me my weight was to high, he also discussed with me how he feels African Americans and Native Americans should be the first to become vaccinated with the new covid vaccine. I don't know why he felt the need to tell me this, but I really didn't appreciate it. I know I won't return there in this life time. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this office unless you are used to a clinic envirnoment. As I waited in the patient room, I noticed a typed out sign stating in English and Spanish that the office will not tolerate rude behavior and that patients will be escorted out if this should occur. I could not understand this as I have NEVER seen this. WELL.....let me tell you why...Patients were lined up on a pew to have bloodwork drawn . It appeared we were lined up like cattle having the same thing done over and over. I could hear the different conversantions as I waited. I had 4 different nurses call about my bloodwork results and the first nurse just read off numbers like she was in a hurrying and when I stopped her to ask what is normal she was bothered. I called the office back to get some calrification. Guys, my numbers are off by VERY little single digits and the nurse told me the doctor want more tests done. MEANWHILE, I have yet to have a conversation with the doctor. IT does not stop there. I received USPS ntofication that I had a letter from TRI County that neede postage. I stood in line at the post office and paid 4.12 for my letter. Inside was a plastic vial and a brochure for having blood drawn but NOTHING else... I have never wiritten a review in my life but I will add mine to the MANY NEGATIVE reviews about this medical office.Do yourself a favor, do not waste your time and money. This is not a private practice setting. IT is a public clinic setting and they treat their patients accordingly. read more

They do great at getting you an appointment ASAP and also take walk ins for that day you wake up sick. They also take almost every health insurance out there. I was looking for a family doctor and chose this clinic because it is covered under my insurance and it's close to home, but I should have looked at their Google 2 star reviews and kept on shopping. I made a big mistake. I came in to see a doctor for my annual physical checkup, which includes a well-woman exam, blood work etc. When you fill out the paperwork prior to being seen by the doctor, they have a form that states that if there are any CO-PAYS, you are responsible for it. I'm very well aware what co-pays are, I'm an Insurance Agent. So I had my exam and there were 4 people in total in the room: a Doctor (Dr.Macklin), a Nurse, myself and a Resident Student. When the doctor asked me if I had any questions, I asked her about my hormones (I'm 44 y.o), at which point she should have told me "to discuss hormones, we will need a separate appointment, OR if you like we can discuss it now BUT we will charge you for an additional visit". She didn't do that, she just kept on going. Very casually she told me "are you aware of the co-pays, etc?", I said "yes", because at this point she was writing a prescription and I know there are co-pays involved when you get your prescription. When I was finished with my visit, I went to check out and the front desk told me I owe them over $100. I asked why? My annual exam is always free. They said, "well it's because you asked about the hormones". At this point I realized they put me together. I paid the fee and I left because I had to be on a work call. When I got home, I realIzed how they operate. They sneak in the form which talks about the co-pays, but they find a way to take your money, because you touch a subject that apparently is not part of the visit. Dr. Macklin just casually kept on discussing my hormones and never stoped and said "Hey, by the way, to discuss your hormones we can do it at a separate visit, or this will cost you an extra visit". At that point, I would have made a decision whether to proceed or not. They didn't give me that choice. She just kept on talking about it as if it was part of my WELL WOMAN EXAM. Do you see the problem here? I contacted their office manager by name Sue, she took her time to get back to me. She was not going to, because she KNEW that it's their normal business conduct and they do this often. That is why they have such low customer ratings. I gave her two weeks to resolve this issue and she was very slow to respond and not very eager. I called three times during those two weeks and explained myself about 5 times. I finally decided to go back there and talk to them in person. Dr. Macklin used the speech, "well, that's how your insurance is, it has a fee, we have no control over it!". Really? How about telling your patient, hey there is going to be a fee for this, sign here. Even when I spoke on the phone with Sue, the office manager, she said, yeah, you are right, a co-pay is a co-pay, but a charge for separate visit is a charge. She acknowledged it, but the doctors are her employers and when I went there in person, her demeanor was totally different and she wasn't willing to help. They both just shrouded their shoulders and said "sorry, but that's the way it is, it's your insurance". Today, I will be writing a letter to the Department of Health, Attorney General and a Better Business Bureau to shine some light on this clinic, so others are aware of how they operate and not fall into the same trap. read more

I developed a new issue in my health so I contacted Tri County Internal Medicine and was able to get a same day appointment. The office is very very clean and neat so I had no worries during this COVID-19 pandemic. Masks are worn and patients can wear them as well. Dr Macklin was very attentive, listened to my concerns, and came up with a treatment plan just for me. read more

I had a great experience at this office a couple of weeks ago. Did not have appointment but showed up and only had to wait about 20 minutes. The nurse practitioner that I saw was extremely nice and helpful. I got a shot and some medication and was on my way. She was very thorough and caring. I was given a nice discount too since I was self-pay. I will go back for sure when I need to. read more

This place can be very hit or miss, but I've stuck with them for eight years now because they are better than any other GP office I've ever used. Foremost, unless you specify, you get the luck of the draw when it comes to the doctors in the office. Not usually a problem, unless you get Dr. Dambach on one of his "I don't give a shit, why are you here" days. He can be a bit gruff, and some days seems like you're there just to annoy him, but most of the time he is fine. Doctors Borrego and Vallejo are wonderful, however, and I've never had a bad run-in with either one. Dr. Vallejo especially is really awesome. She knows my conditions, and is the very first GP I've ever had that didn't go "huh?" when I mentioned my rather rare, rather unusual, problem that I have. She knew what it was, off the top of her head, and even fixed the weird records issue they'd had with my file! Secondly, beware one of their phlebotomists! I haven't managed to get her name, but she has a very thick Spanish accident. I have blood drawn every 6-8 months, and usually have blood tests done at nearly all my specialists along the way, but this woman is the only one I've EVER had make me pass out while taking blood. She's missed veins, gone through veins, and taken 4-5 stabs to get a vein before! She scares the bejesus out of me every time, and I have zero fear of needles or blood. Third, their office staff is AMAZING, but those stupid yellow tablet things are terrible. My insurance requires that all my specialists (I have 4) have to be referred by my GP every year, regardless of how long I've been seeing them. Their referral specialist is so on the ball she calls in my re-referrals every year in January without me having to call and verify them any more! However, they have these e-checkin tablets now that are a pain in the ass to use, and they make me squeemish thinking of how many sick people touch them. On the whole, great place, great staff, but a few odd eggs. read more

I have been coming to Tri County for 20+ years. They have done a great job of seeing the community when we can be seen (early evening/Saturday) and when we need to be seen (walk in). They are up to date with technology so they keep really good track of all my medical records - - not just from what happens when I see them but from my other doctors. They are diligent about keeping them up to date. I hear the issues on waiting - - but when you don't feel well they will see you. read more

I took my husband here this week for a potentially dangerous issue. We had a short wait before he saw Dr. Damback, who knew right away what the problem was. Dr. Damback had us stick around for half an hour to make sure there was no reaction to the injection, and then we were sent happily on our way. I felt we were heard and cared for here. They even called later that day to check in to see if everything was okay. I soundly recommend this practice! read more

My family has visited this medical group for years. For the last 5 years I have said that I needed to find a new group. Every single time, each of my family members have gone, they have found a reason to have them come back within a couple of months for a follow up visit. Time and time again, they have held our perscription refills hostage until we have follow up appointments. In this, our average visits per year is 4- for non-sickness reasons. I have very good insurance. My family is healthy, but has thyroid issues. This office is ridiculous in the expectations of thier patients need for follow up visits, for unimportant reasons. My guess is they need patients with great insurance to pay for those who don't have insurance. read more

I used to come here years ago, at the time I had several incidents with waiting long periods of time to be seen even with an appointment and a lot of billing issues. I decided to give them another chance today. I called them over the phone to see if I can make an appointment they said I would have to be a walk in, so I decided to drive up here to be a walk in just a little over an hour later. Once I got here, they advised me even though I'm extremely sick that they cannot see me because they aren't seeing any more walkins. I think this is extremely unprofessional since I had just called over the phone only an hour prior, to confirm that I could come in. I knew I quit coming here for a reason!!!! Terrible Service by the front desk receptionist and I feel no rhyme or reason as to not being seen as a walk-in there is only one other person in the entire office. read more

I had to go there for physical & I have to say this place is terrible. From recipient in the office to pretty much every staff member I dealt with were exceptionally rude and unprofessional, and 2 months after I still don't have the results. I call the office numerous times and left message, but no one ever contacted me back. They have no patient service at all, and on the day my visit I witness number of violations of HIPPA. Needless to say that I will not go back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

I don't do reviews but I feel I need to do this one since with health you never play! I'm giving 1 star because there's not a worst way to rate my experience in this office. They not help at all they charged me 130$ before enter to see the doctor and then the doctor just talk to me and requested lab test. Since I have a high deductible insurance I decided to outsource but before walked out the lady who checked out decided to charge me 60$ more for NOTHING without explaining why the 60$ was for, the nightmare didn't finish here. I did outsource the lab test with LabCorp with was way cheaper than doing it with Quest Lab which is where they wanted to do the test. Long story short A week later and back and forth call between LabCorp and the doctors office lab results department (Kelly) which never answer the phone unless you hardly requested, LabCorp sent the test result to the doctors office to the WRONG fax number which is in their order (hilarious) obviously they didn't get it, the doctors office said I'm the only one who needs to requested since I outsource and LabCorp said they can not give it to me only the doctors office should requested. After I pleased asked Kelly from the doctors office to call together to LabCorp they FINALLY got my results I asked to please send me a copy and she said she cannot send it without the doctors review but previously she said I had to give to them and she can not contact LabCorp because I OUTSOURCE!!! This is without mention that everyone who I interacted with in the office was rude only one of the nurse Miss Garcia was very nice and sweet! The front desk couldn't even enter the insurance number right and I have to call to my insurance and pass it to her to verify my account, she was just putting the wrong number even that she has my insurance card in hand!!! read more

So, I ended up becoming a friend (I suppose) of Dr. Dambach's, yet each time I went into the office, he was either gone or busy. Unfortunately, his office staff are incredibly incompetent. I paid a balance off before being sent to collections: one that a new insurance WAS supposed to pay. After I paid the balance, I was told by the office staff that there would be no collection issues, YET there were, which I realized once I got a collection notice. Then, years later, I went back, out of convenience, for a basic check up, and AGAIN, was told to pay that same balance I had already paid off!! So, again, there is a collection notice on my credit report, after paying the office staff TWICE, simply to avoid a bad credit rating. Good luck if you happen to go to the place! read more

After this last visit I am under the impression this office is getting kick backs from drug companies. I asked for a medication that I knew worked. Nurse Melissa Schweiker prescribed me something else that didn't help matters at all. She was really pushy and told me this is what I am getting. Will never return. Today is a sad day for Dr. D. I am on gout meds for over 30 years and I just got a 1/2 of my prescribed meds. They refilled my Allupurinol but not my Indomethecin????????? These med go together and I feel they are not doing right-over a office visit. Maybe some communication to the patients would help as I get a different story and price every time I go visit!! I went to talk with the nurse and basically was lied to over and over again. The Doc is good guy but the staff is always challenging. This office is terrible ! I was a cash paying patient because I only have catastrophic insurance . I called prior to visiting to get the price, as well as I ask again at the window when checking in . Both times the price quoted was the same. They said if I had any test this would be extra, which of course, made sense . I did indeed end up having two tests done and the dr herself verified the amount of the test before I proceeded. When I went to pay they tried to charge me An extra $45. Long story short I refused to pay the extra and they acted like they were doing me a big favor by removing the charge. Most of the staff is unfriendly and cold acting . I felt I was in an office where people hated their jobs ! Never again ! They seriously need some pleasant staff to replace the long faces . read more

Office staff not the most pleasant. But what I really got upset about was our son was home on leave and had a horrible case of poison oak. Tricounty didn't accept military insurance (Tricare) so they charged him almost $300 for the office visit. Great way to treat our active duty military Dr. Dambach. read more

Went couple of days ago new patient. The front staff was very friendly my apt was at 10am went in early to fill out paperwork, was called before my appointment time. Saw Dr Borrego who was very nice and professional was out 20 mins later discussed all my issues didn't feel rushed the doctors nurses were very polite. So far very please with my visit. I see that plenty of people are anxious to complain about their doctor's office - personnel and doctors - but I see few praises. I don't understand this. There are so many positives compared to negatives! My husband had a stroke, lost his job because of it and denied his disability. Tri-County went out of their way for us to help with receiving the disability. In the end, after two years of fighting for it, the two reports that got us the disability was from a neuropsycholgist in Illinois and the records from Tri-County. The nurses and doctors are friendly, caring and just amazing. The comparison between TriCounty and those I go to here in Illinois is vast. I miss our doctors and personnel greatly! Be content with this office!!! They are at the top of my list!! The office staff are terrific too. They really listen and always put the patient first. Evryone makes mistakes, but the positives cover 99% for this medical practice!! Please greatly consider visiting this medical practice! read more

Don't waste your time! I would not have given 1 star, but it wouldn't let me mark a 1/2 or nothing at all. The receptionist was rude and instead of acknowledging me and saying she would be with me shortly, she was rude and told me to wait before I even signed in. She was talking with a patient and I respectfully stood back out of the way because I am sick. However, what pissed me off was the fact three other patient came in she acknowledged them gave them the paperwork they needed and told them someone would be with them shortly. When I returned the sign-in clipboard she acted as if she was pissed and purposely made me wait. She never provided me with any paperwork or told me someone would be with me shortly. I got up and walked out. Then I get a call saying we've been calling you but you are not in the lobby. How in the hell you going to call me back when you have no paperwork on me because I would have been a new patient????? I left and although I had to wait until this afternoon to get an appointment at another doctor, the-receptionist was busy, but she immediately acknowledged me and told me she would be with me shortly and then thanked me for waiting. I made two trips in one to Tri-County Internal Medicine, my first and my last!!!!!! read more

I've been going to see Dr. Dambach for 5 years now. Ran out of Lisinopril, and I apparently have to come in tomorrow, or I will miss a dose. Why can't I get a script for five Lisinoprils, and come in Monday, when it would be way more convenient? Good docs, so two stars instead of the one I gave earlier. Would love to have a family doctor, like in the old days, when you could call them, set up an appointment time that works with your schedule, made sure you didn't miss any important medicines you happen to be taking. I don't even want to give this place one star. They are completely unprofessional and have no clue about how to handle patients with care. They referred my husband to get a CT scan, and he was told at the scan that they would send the results to tri county. Mary has yet to call him to go over the results and go over next steps. He had to call and leave messages. Two assistants called back but didn't have any answers and would just tell him he would need to speak with somebody else. All the while we still don't have answers. On a prior visit, he had blood work done. He never got the results and when he asked they just said he would have to go to the portal for the results. How was he supposed to know they were in the portal? Then they called him in a prescription but didn't tell him they did so. Once again, he had to call and ask about it just to find out they did it but didn't tell him. This has been a completely frustrating experience. We are getting our records from them and going to another practice who actually cares about their patients and follows up with them. read more
