Nearest town was Petersburg and we rolled up on Swick Automotive (no sign, just a concrete block building with three open bays). They took us in, fixed the problem quickly (loose ignition coil wire) offered us a table to eat our packed lunches, offered good tips on local sights, taught my son a few things about engines and we were on our way for a fair price. Doug and his wife (I think she was his wife) are the real deal...nice, honest and skilled. Doug even gave us his card and told us to call him with any problems (there were none). I have only one vehicle and found myself in a serious situation with not being able to get out of my home for food, medical and other misc. I am truly grateful for Pam and her husband. Also for the other review from the out of town family who took the time to write a review for these good people. It has been a tough year and a half for all of us. I prayed, cried before, during and after my only vehicle leaving me sitting. I must add on a spiritual note, I looked out side yesterday afternoon after having my vehicle towed to Swick auto by another wonderful man Mr. Hendricks and behold there were 10 to 15 bluebirds lined up on my railing of my porch. No seeds, just staring back at me; I indeed had goosebumps on my goosebumps. Moral of this story blue birds mean Good News!!!! Swick Automotive means "Good, honest hardworking neighbors!!!! Thank God, thank the people who are good to you in your time of NEED. Thank You Swick Automotive!!!!!

Employees only wear masks half the time and not one of the mechanics wear a mask!! I called and…read moremade an appointment for my vechicle, because i didn't want to wait in a tire shop waiting room all day. They proceeded to take customers with later appointment times than me. Up to an hour later. 2 and half hours after my appointment time they still havent got to my car and they have finished with customers with appointment an hour after me. The manager in charge refused to admit he made a mistake or that there was any wrong doing. Apparently here it is all about who you know. I will never give them my service again and suggest you shop around as well. I could get tires $40 dollars cheaper a piece 15 miles down the road.
